SOFT COATED WHEATEN SOUTHERN COUNTIES 19 Judge(s): MR SHAUN WATSON I would thank the show for the invite and to all the exhibitors who came and showed under me, its not so cheap to show these days and judges have to be picked, so thanks for that, sometimes I might mention the overall quality of the breed as I have known it for over 35 years, but I feel the wins later in the day in the finals might answer that, the BOB won a good 2nd in a strong Terrier group, the best puppy got 4th in the terrier puppy group, the best junior won 1st in junior terrier group, under three different judges so maybe the breeds doing well, I should add I had 10 strong males, in open dog and was the best and strongest SCWT class I have ever judged and maybe seen, so thanks for all that came. As I’ve been interested in the breed for a long time and judged a few times before, I am always interested in finding out later how my winners are bred or if known to me, my dog CC winner seems I gave his dad a RCC when young and his mum and granddad a CC before, I understand he’s the youngest CH in the breed, so well done to owner and breeder. My best puppy and RCC winner I gave her mum the RCC as a pup, so that was strange as well, my CC bitch and owner was both completely new to me and was pleased to hear today was her 11 CC and I’m sure more to come. Thanks to all and enjoy your next shows.
