SOFT COATED WHEATEN SOUTH WALES 11 Judge(s) MISS ANN BRADLEY DCC SNOWMEADOW NUMINOUS NIILO SHCM (MRS B & MR G LAWRENCE) Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers 1 Howes’ Daisymaes Desmond Decker, at 6 months is well grown, super body & bone, most pleasing head, flat skull, lovely dark eye, well set ears, fair length of neck, compact body, strong level back, well sprung ribs. Front movement a little loose at present. Moved out well. BP; 2 House & Gillbanks’ Glendowan Tarquol, 6 months baby, balanced head of good length, dark eye, moderate length of neck, short coupled body, good set-on. Needs time to settle in movement. JD (2) 1 Fallon’s Janeyjimjams Jenson, well made head, dark hazel eye, good earset, strong muzzle, good bite, excellent front & shoulders, deep chest. Just lacking a little in body condition. Well angulated quarters, correct set-on, moved well both ways. PGD (1) 1 Wright’s Kariskiye Horrid Henry for Abbeymead, pleasing head, dark eye, good ears, moderate length of neck, deep chest, short coupled, fair angulation. Lost topline on the move. LD (3) 1 Walklin’s Kellynack Zoom Zoom, well made head of good length, flat skull, strong muzzle, moderate length of neck, well made body, good depth of chest, short coupled, good set-on. Would prefer more intensity of colour; 2 Satherley’s Elkis Aquila of Silkcroft, overall a nice type, good coat & colour, good body & set-on; 3 Cooper’s Merriwell Midnite Magic. OD (3) 1 Lawrence’s Snowmeadow Numinous Niilo, most pleasing exhibit, completely balanced, well made head, fair length of neck, short coupled body, well made quarters, correct set on, in good coat, well presented of clear wheaten colour, moved well once settled. CC & BOB; 2 Whitehead’s Shanghai Shoggoth, pleasing head. A darker eye would be to advantage. Fair length of neck & good bone. Could be a little shorter coupled. Lost a little in topline on the move; 3 Clarke’s Loofahsa Scaramouche. VD (3) 1 Walklin’s Ch/Ir/Can Ch Jonaire Kataxin Vava Voom O’Kellynack, headed a good class of three champions. Compact dog of correct size, well made head, moderate length of neck, straight front, good shoulders, ribs well sprung, deep chest, strong quarters, moved well holding good topline, in great coat & condition. RCC; 2 Munn’s Ch Snowmeadow Jazzy Jacob, well established champion, good head, strong muzzle, fair length of neck, pleasing coat & colour. Just not concentrating on the job in hand; 3 Herbert’s Ch Caidantes That’s Ma Boy. PB (1) 1 Clarke’s Calvenace Fat Bottomed Girl for Flaxela, attractive 6 months baby, balanced head, dark eye, good bite, moderate length of neck, good depth of chest, short back, well sprung ribs, excellent bone & feet, covered the ground well on the move. Just needs to tighten in front. BPB. JB (5) 1 Escott’s Silkcroft Light Fantastic, a lot to like, well made head, defined stop, good bite, excellent neck & shoulders, straight front, fair depth of chest, short back, well made quarters, good set on, moved very well both ways. Just needs to develop in body & mature in coat; 2 Grant’s Kellynack La Boheme, nice head though expression spoilt by large ears. Could be longer in neck but has good body with deep chest & short coupled; 3 Noble’s Pippajam All That Glitters. PGB (2) 1 Tanner’s Kariskiye Born To Bewitch, pleasing head, good length & strong muzzle, moderately long neck, good body, quarters well angulated. Covered the ground well on the move; 2 Morris’ Canicula Riot On Renee, nice size head, well balanced. Losing a little in expression. Fair length of neck, in reasonable coat. Rather untidy in movement. LB (5) 1 Walklin’s Buckwheat Jadis O’Kellynack, this import bitch is very much on the style of wheatens from Ireland. Scored in overall construction, balanced head of fair length, flat skull. Ears a little high set which detract from true wheaten expression. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, short back, well sprung ribs, quarters well angulated, correct set on, sound movement. Overall would prefer more bone; 2 Lawrence’s Emalot Little Miss Star, pleasing exhibit, well made head of good length, strong muzzle, well made body, short coupled, well set tail, good bone. Rather loose in front movement; 3 Grant’s Kellynack The Fabulous Fox. OB (8) 1 Satherley’s Tobamorrey Sitting Pretty at Silkcroft, most attractive, in great coat of good colour, pleasing head of good dength, well placed ears, lovely expression, good length of neck, straight front, well laid shoulders, good body, deep chest, short coupled, good bone & feet, quarters well angulated, good set-on, holds good topline on the move. CC; 2 Morrey’s Ch Ch Tobamorrey Aint I Precious, nice size & overall balance, good neck & shoulders, strong well made body, well sprung ribs, powerful quarters, good set-on. Could put more into her showing but did enough to gain the RCC. Quality bitch; 3 Munn’s Snowmeadow Oolla O’Luna. VB (0). ANN BRADLEY |
