SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE MANCHESTER 19

A very enjoyable day as always with this delightful breed. I was surprised but obviously pleased to see it was very much a family affair with the DCC & BCC being the parents of my two RCC winners.

PD (3, 1)

1 Morris' Loofahsa Hireath. Two very energetic youngsters in this class, the first being more together on the day. At 8 mths this young man shows a lot of promise, masculine head, dark eye and good pigment, firm body and coat of good colour and texture, when settled moved ok.

2 Tempesta & Hobel's Two Hearts For Jophiliana. Just a baby of 6 mths, lighter in frame than my winner but well constructed with pleasing outline, good angulation and well set on tail, just needs to steady on the move.

JD (5)

1 Williams & Dalton's Ch Celtannia Atlantic Gold. A very smart youngster of 16 mths and I am not surprised to see he is already a Champion, he is so together even at this young age, excellent head and expression, good reach of neck leading into well laid shoulders, firm topline and well set on tail. His colour has good depth for age and he moved with drive. RDCC.

2 Holding's Celtannia Atlantic Gigolo. Litter brother I see to my winner and very much of a type, not as settled, but he was well presented and handled to get the best out of him moved ok.

3 Wright's Abbeymead Stelline.

PGD (5, 2)

1 Satherley's Silkcroft Freeze Frame. A mature young man with a super outline and balanced throughout. Strong head with excellent pigment, dark eye and good mouth. His colour is coming through and the coat was of good texture. Steady and sound on the move.

2 Taylor's Eblanahalls Tackle Ish. A real live wire, but when settled he presented a lovely picture, pale Irish coat of excellent texture, firm body and good angulation, moved ok.

3 Jones & Jones' Wheaten Rebel's Voice Of Vision For Silverluke.

LD (3)

1 Paterson's Snowmeadow Sauls Symphony To Gavleash. Excellent proportions on this mature male of nearly 2 yrs, his head is strong with good dark eyes, correct mouth and pigment and coat of good texture. Firm topline and well angulated quarters, moved so soundly.

2 Lui's Eblanahalls Aye Right. Of good size with a super coat of soft waves making a lovely shape both standing and on the move.

3 Williams' Flaxela Living Legend Of Gwendonydd.

OD

1 Dowdy & Dowdy's Ch Greentree Gold Mombo To Denzilly. At just under three years old he was everything I was looking for and more. He had the size, balance and ring presence that could not be ignored. Well defined head with excellent eye, ear set and mouth. Straight front leading into tight feet, correct arch to neck, firm topline and well set on tail. Coat of excellent colour and texture and when he moved it was effortless and true from all angles. DCC & BOB.

2 Withington's Ch Fantasa Blonde Rufus. Another worthy Champion who was smaller than my winner but still of correct proportions. At first I thought he was a bit stuffy in neck but on closer inspection it was only coat as his neck was of a good length and he was balanced throughout moved soundly.

3 Tilly's Janeyjimjams Jubilee Star At Starzak.

PB (5, 1)

1 Brooks' Loofahsa Hugger Mugger. At nearly 8 mths she was such an attractive youngster litter sister to my PD I see, but was more together overall on the day which gave her the edge over him in the challenge. Excellent head proportions, straight front, firm body and well set on tail and her coat was soft and of good texture. Moved out so well for one so young. BPIB.

2 Sheehan's Keevasdream White Lace. Another feminine youngster of 9 mths who was so well schooled and attentive to her handler. Lovely overall type and sound on the move just needs to mature on in head to complete the picture.

3 Johnstone & Blackhall's Rouxboos Varga Girl.

JB (8, 1)

1 Moles & Williams' Celtannia Atlantic Aida. Such an attractive 16 mth old who was so together both standing and on the move, loved her overall balance, feminine expression and excellent coat. She had a good lay of shoulder, level topline and well set on tail, well angulated quarters and moved out with drive. RCC.

2 Lui's Eblanahalls Honeytrap. Smaller than my winner but well put together to present an excellent overall shape, was a bit of a fidget at first but when settled she came into her own with sound steady strides covering the ground well.

3 Brooks' Loofahsa Hugger Mugger.

PGB (7, 2)

1 Holding's Kirktonhill Cara Alainn. A lot to like about this 4 yr old, made an excellent shape, balanced throughout with good front, firm body and level topline, just would have liked her a bit more animated, moved soundly.

2 Herbert's Julibidd Maybe I'm Amazed. Well proportioned and presented, sound moving and pleasing in outline, coat needs to clear to complete the picture.

3 Tempesta's Kinaelan Finlandia Grace Of Jophiliana.

LB (2)

1 Jones' Saffini Suga Pie Honey Bunch. Very stylish youngster has the size and balance, coupled with a lovely feminine head, good bone and in fine coat and condition, looked good from all angles and moved out true both ways.

2 Switzer's Starcadia Oh Dear. Another sound and attractive bitch who came into her own on the move. Had a lovely coat for colour and texture, well presented and shown to advantage.

OB (9, 2)

1 Moles' Ch Celtannia Extra Chic. This 4 yr old headed a lovely class of classy bitches, all were well presented and handled, but my winner just went the extra mile to clinch the top spot and then the CC. Feminine with a lovely head and expression, straight front, tight feet, good lay of shoulders leading into a level topline, tail set high and well carried both standing and on the move. She excels in her sound driving movement.

2 Clarke's Ch Flaxela Weaver Of Dreams. A close second in this class, she never put a foot wrong, excellent for type, size and overall balance. Coat of lovely colour and texture, excellent body proportions, firm quarters and she moved out with drive.

3 Satherley, Weister & Brooks' Silkcroft Some Magic Rose.

VB (1)

1 Williams' Ch Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock. This bitch was in super condition and at eight and a half yrs old she could hold her own in any competition. A strong head but retaining her femininity and her coat had colour and texture, excellent body proportions and well angulated quarters which showed in her accurate and true movement. Just a pity that this show doesn't have a Veteran group as I am sure she would have been up there with the winners.
