My apologies for the delay in producing these critiques. My health deteriorated very soon the appointment.
Having replaced the original judge at the very last minute, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the exhibitors for accepting my decisions in a sporting manner. I will add that it was a pleasure to go over dogs which otherwise I may not have had the opportunity to judge. The choice was available to use a ramp to assess the dogs. This was the first time in the UK that this facility has been made available for the breed. I felt it went well and may prove useful in the future.
My thanks also to my two stewards who worked hard to assist me.

1. Farquharson: Manawyddan Song for Ireland. Lovely happy boy, 6mths 3 days showing a typical wheaten character. Nice head, good muzzle and strong teeth. Lovely eyes that gave correct expression. Correct shoulders, deep chest, good back end. Once settled showed good movement. Lovely colour and coat texture.

1. Balchin & Balchin: Bridgestones Red Cinnabar. Nice head with good eye and strong muzzle. Straight front decent neck and level top line with deep chest. Longer in loin. Good texture of coat, pale in colour but age appropriate. But unsettled on the move but has time on his side.

1. Clarke & Clarke: Flaxela Illuminati (ai) JW. A nice sized dog with a strong head and strength in muzzle. Large teeth and good scissor bite. Lovely eye, black nose giving a typical breed expression. Straight front, strong rear which showed in his free movement. Excellent tail set and carriage. Coat of good colour and texture, well presented giving a lovely outline when standing. He was unsettled in the challenge.
2. Hookway: Denzilly Gold Compass. More mature than 1 but similar comments apply. Good head and muzzle, straight front, deep chest with a nice rear. Excellent tail set and carriage. Moved out well keeping his top line level. Handled well to get the best from him. A little bigger in build than 1.

1. Clarke & Clarke. Ch Flaxela Perfect Storm (ai). Presents a beautiful outline, balanced with no exaggeration. Strong head and muzzle with large teeth, excellent bite. Good length of neck leading to well placed shoulders. Level top line, tail on top and deep chest. Well angulated rear with strong hocks that showed in his positive movement. Correct coat, colour and texture presented in top condition. DCC & BOB
2. Satherley & Satherley. Ch. Silkcroft Game Changer. A smaller dog but all in proportion. Good head, nice eye and medium ears. Enough neck, leading to good shoulders, deep chest and a level top line. Good rear which showed in his movement. Tail set and carriage correct. Paler coat than 1 but with a lovely new true. Moved well in the challenge to RDCC.
VD (1)
1. Williams & Williams: Flaxela Living Legend at Gwendonydd. Strong head, good muzzle, scissor bite. Nice length of neck, good shoulder, level top line. Lovely coat of good colour and texture. Top sized dog but all in proportion. A little unsettled on the move. BV.

1. Tilley: Brynhir Born to Boogie at Starzak. Pretty puppy well developed for age with good muscle- 10mths. Presentation pleasing not over stylised. Straight front, level top line, deep chest. Moved well for age on a loose lead. Good head, strong muzzle, good scissor bite and nice eye giving appealing expression. Good coat with nice colour and texture. BPIB
2. Grant: Dannebriel Me and My Girl. Another appealing puppy maturing well. Free stands very well. Nice head and muzzle, good bite. Straight front, level top line and deep chest. Moved well for her age, 9 maths, paying attention to her handler. Coat colour and texture coming along nicely.

1. Wassall. Clanhanna A Kind of Magic. Has a feminine head with a nice eye and expression. Straight front, good length of neck, level top line, held on the move. Moved with confidence for ease. Coat colour appropriate for age, texture good. Nicely presented, not overdone.
2. Shrive: Clanhanna Reet Petite. Litter sister to 1st. Many similar comments apply. Good construction and nicely balanced outline. Coat colour a litter richer that 1 texture good, showing promise. Nicely presented not over stylised. Not quite as happy as class winner.

1. Fallon & Fallon: Manawyddan Bizzy Lizzie. Lovely sized bitch, nice head, good eye and small ears, giving a great expression. Nicely constructed with good shoulders, good length of neck and level top line. Nicely let down hocks which gave her fluid movement.
LB (6.0a.)
1. Howes & Howes: Flaxela Flirtini (ai) JW A pretty bitch, lovely for size. Feminine head with strong muzzle, good scissor bite. Lovely eye and big black nose, great expression. Straight front, good length of neck, level top line, good rear with well let down hocks. Moved very well with reach and drive. Beautiful coat, colour and texture, presented in excellent order. BCC
2. Barrett& Barrett: Saffini The Sweetest Taboo. Another pretty bitch, good for size. Good head with nice eye and appealing expression. Straight front, enough neck, level top line an nice rear. Good tail set and carriage. Free stands well, moved well once settled. RBCC
OB (4.2ab)
1. Springford & Springford: Keevasdream White Linen JW. Feminine head with strong muzzle, nice eye giving correct expression. Straighten front, nice neck, level top line. Coat soft, silky with good colour and soft waves. Moved well with ease.
2. Witheyman - Satherley - Satherley. Ch. Silkcroft Borm This Way. Preferred head of 1 but has lovely neat small ears. Nice sized bitch, looks in proportion with level top line. Good tail set and carriage that shows well in profile and on the move. Good coat texture and colour but would prefer more of it.
