SOFT COATED WHEATEN LKA 16 Judge: Mrs Nan Chadwick BEST OF BREED : 6624 MORAN Mr & Mrs C B & P A Abiqua Wild She's By Design SOFTCOATED WHEATEN JUDGE 16 Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers PD (3,1a) 1 Dowdy’s Greentree Gold Mombo to Denzilly, beautiful all male dog without being course. Very eyecatching my notes say ‘everything as per standard’. Big black nose, correct bite, very attractive head & expression. Moved well front & back retaining level topline. BP, RCC. Good to learn afterwards that he has finished the year top puppy. I will certainly watch his progress with interest; 2 LUI Mrs L & Mr A: Ebianahails Aye Right, different type to 1, well up to size, good mouth & pigment, nice length of neck not so positive on the move as 1. JD (4) 1 Dunhill’s Mother’s Finest Jon Snow at Fantasa, another lovely male, plenty bone, good pigment nice length of neck into good lay of shoulder, moved well covering the ground with ease. Presented in lovely condition; 2 Watkin’s Zaraslake Luck Seven, close decision preferred length of neck on 1 but lovely in profile. Short coupled, a little paler in coat, moved well; 3 Williams’ Flaxela Living Legend of Gwendonydd. PGD (0). LD (5,1) 1 Heister’s Silkcroft Crests of Waves, another close decision, good all rounder, nice pigment & good mouth, straight front, good bone & tailset, moved OK front & back; 2 Bristow’s Denzilly Sweet Destiny for Avard, similar type to 1 similar remarks apply, just preferred length of neck on 1; 3 Catlow’s Flaxella Too Fast for Love at Justjingo. OD (7) 1 Thackray’s Abiqua Wilod On An Ace Trip, judges this boy as a youngster & he has come a long way since then blossoming into a super specimen of this lovely breed. Lovely balanced head correct bite & great bone in beautiful sound condition. Moved very well away & coming, presents a terrific picture in profile, presented in superb condition, pleased to award him the CC. He lost out on movement in the challenge; 2 Boast’s Denzilly Tickle Me Elmo, smaller type than 1. Nice pigment good length of neck, foursquare dog moving well; 3 Satherley’s Am Ch Haldane Chasin’ Tail. VD (1) 1 Carter’s Ch Chloeanco Hunni Drea, 7½ & still looking great, beautiful mouth, lovely eye & expression, presented in lovely coat, good tailset, overall balanced dog, moving like a ‘young un’. Happy to award him BV. GCD (1) 1 Carter’s Zaraslake Indiana Twist from Chloeanco, happy lad, achieved his silver award, nice pigment, well presented although coat a little woolly. PB (0). JB (1) 1 Grant’s Dannebriel Gladly Godetia, well made young girl, a bit fidgety standing, good mouth, big black nose, straight front, moved OK, a little pale in coat, but nicely presented. PGB (7,3) 1 Satherley’s Silkcroft Auroras Encore, close decision here 1 & 2 could easily change position on another day. Small feminine bitch, lovely colour, good pigment, nice small ears, good length of neck, straight front, moved well retaining level topline; 2 Johnstone’s Loofahsa Flamma Rouxboos, similar type to 1, foursquare, very feminine, lovely outline, same remarks apply as 1; 3 Williams’ Kellynack Joie de Vivre. LB (7,2) 1 Hanna’s Celtannia Extra Confident at Kinaelanc, pale coat, put together well, big black nose, good mouth, nice length of neck, tailset bang on, good angulation, moved soundly keeping level topline; 2 Satherley’s Silkcroft Sky Full of Stars, a little more of her than 1, but similar type, good mouth, correct eye & nice eye & correct pigment, moved OK, presented in fine coat; 3 Bredemear-Walter’s Gwendonydd Gwenith Aur. OB (7) 1 Moran’s Abiqua Wild She’s By Design, lovely class, 1 & 2 very close, similar types, correct bite, good pigment, straight front, good angulation, good bone, lovely head & expression. This bitch was by far the best mover on the day striding out to take the CC & BOB; 2 Hobson & Bradford’s Abiqua Wild Wrapped In Ivy, all terrier, lovely bitch, similar remarks apply from 1. Just not quite giving her all today but I am sure her day will come; 3 Satherley’s Ch Silkcroft Colour Of Magic. VB (4) 1 Moran’s Ch Abiqua Wild In A Satin Sash, beautiful feminine bitch, pleasing head, correct bite, good pigment & bone, nice length of neck . Moved very well in spite of her 8½ years, presented in great coat, delighted to award her RCC, mother of BCC winner; 2 William’s Ch Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock, another 8½ year old in lovely condition, beautifully presented, correct bite & lovely pigment, nice eye, moving well, great in outline; 3 Bristow’s Kellynack Vivala Passione for Avard. GCB (1) 1 Shrive’s Emalot Santa Maria, nice typy bitch, achieved her silver award. Good mouth, lovely head, overall a decent bitch, moving well. NAN CHADWICK
