SOFT COATED WHEATEN DRIFFIELD 49 25 Judge: Sandy Booth 1st Satherleys UK Am Can Ch Silkcroft Freeze Frame (reimport) JW. A significant winner and just into veteran he is still making his mark. Classic profile with great proportions. Pigment and dentition all as it should be. Coat presented to perfection, lovely front and rear, moved out with drive. BV, lovely to see him take Group 2. 2nd Taylor’s Ch Eblanahalls Silkbeard at Raisingsands. Another super veteran and worthy champion who was just pipped today. This young man’s glory is his gorgeous coat, super texture with loose wheaten waves which glistened in the sunlight. Masculine head and good quarters. Very unlucky to meet my winner today. 1st Gent and Lees Sumirick Eye of the Storm. What a lovely 9-month-old baby. My notes say naughty but very nice. He is everything I would want to see in a young male. Super substance and balance, lovely baby jacket of correct colour and texture for age. Loved his masculine head. Tail bang on. Good extension on the move just a little unsettled overall. Unlucky to meet a very polished PB in the challenge. One to watch. 1st Satterley’s Silkcroft Perfect Symmetry (ai). A natural showman, stood alone but lots to like. Good proportions all round, super neat ears and lovely front and rear which showed in his extension and effortless movement. Coat of good colour and texture. A very eye-catching young male. 1st Clarkes Ch Flaxela Illuminati. I loved this boy as a puppy awarding him the RCC. It took a while for him to get into his stride (handler needs more practice 😊) but once he did, he shone. All of his puppy attributes have matured into a super male, exuding quality. All terrier with plenty of substance, well balanced throughout. Masculine head with lovely eye and pigment. Level topline with tail bang on top. Sports a super coat both in colour and texture. Very well-muscled and moved out with reach and drive. I see he is now a well-deserved champion. Unlucky to meet a bitch on top form in the challenge. CC 2nd Clarkes Ch Flaxella Perfect Storm (ai). Older brother to my winner with so much to like which makes it very difficult to split them. Another worthy champion from the top drawer. Lovely clean lines from any angle supported by a super frame. Masculine headpiece. Moved out with positivity and drive. A real showman. RCC. 3rd Herberts Saffini Smooth operator at Julibidd. Res Satherleys Ch Silkcroft Shake It Off JW. VHC Wynters Lakkas Yankee Sweet Silkcroft (imp Swe) JW 1st Wrights Abbeymead Capelli D’Angelo. I have judged this young lady previously and she has continued to improve with age. Larger cast than some but still perfectly balanced. Sweetest of expressions, with a lovely eye and perfect dentition. Well made throughout and her coat is looking fabulous with the prerequisite colour and softness. Moved with purpose. Unlucky to meet the VD in the challenge for BV. 1st Satherleys Silkcroft Just Like Magic. My notes say ‘what a poppet’ and she really is. Standing four square, excellent neck, fore and aft quarters. Prettiest of heads. Typical puppy coat of correct colour. Moved out with drive and purpose. Has such ring showmanship and presence for one so young. I see a very bright future ahead. BP, super to see her strut her stuff in the big ring and be awarded Group 1. 1st Witheymans Fantasa Blonde Xtasey. At 14 months she painted a picture when she entered the ring. Feminine and balanced. Well laid-back shoulders and a strong, level topline. Moved out well fore and aft. Covered the ground with ease. Beautiful coat, shining in the sunlight. Had that extra spark in the challenge, well-deserved RCC. 1 Walshs Croftysofty Hay Siri. Still has some maturing to do but a nicely made young lady. Pretty head with neat ears. Good neck and level topline. Lovely coat. Just needs a little more drive on the move to complete the picture. A trio of nice young ladies, all at differing stages of age & maturity. 1st Grimes-Watsons Keevasdream Purple Bliss for Spudler. Correct proportions with good bone and muscle. Well presented to make the most of her attributes. Coat soft and silky and still needs a little colour maturity but you can see it coming through. Moved out with drive and positivity to take this class. 2nd Lui’s Eblanahalls Kiss Curl JW. One I admired as a youngster and continues to develop into a lovely young lady. Super for type and size. Good outline and the prettiest of headpieces and coats. Sound construction overall, strong level topline. Struggled with movement from all angles today unfortunately. I look forward to seeing her when she is back on form. 1st Satherleys Ch Silkcroft Never Miss A Beat. Stunning 6-year-old in super form. Caught my eye the moment she stepped into the ring and she never put a foot wrong, what a showgirl. Constructionally oh so sound, feminine head, lovely shoulders and well angulated rear. Her coat is in tip top condition, beautifully soft and falling in wheaten waves. Moved like a dream, she floated effortlessly round the ring covering the ground with long, low strides. Pleased to award her CC & BOB. 3rd Thoburns Northridge Wolf Bluff. Res Tilleys Brynhir Born To Boogie at Starzak JW. VHC Satherleys Ch Silkcroft Fortune and Glory JW Judge: Sandy Booth |
