SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE CRUFTS 24

I would like to thank the Kennel Cub Committee for the invitation to judge at this prestigious show. My 2 stewards Mrs J Massingham & Mrs L Jones for keeping the ring moving enabling me to get finished on time and lastly the exhibiters who entered under me. Overall I was happy with the breed but mouths, and some brown noses need to be watched, movement has improved.

1 Nl/Be/Lux/De/Int Ch Extra’s Oxygen JW Njk Dejk Luxjk Bejk (Van Gompel-Hoeks) 8yrs old lovely and square good head and ears beautiful Irish coat good length of neck, running into well placed shoulders. Moved and showed well to win this strong class.

2 Ch Greentree Gold Mombo to Denzilly (Imp Usa) (Dowdy) This dog I have judged before when he was younger and is still a dog to be reckoned with, now 7 years of age he was put down in the best condition with a beautiful colour to his coat, just preferred the head of one.

3 Ch Janeyjimjams Joshua (Blandford).

1/BP Teaghlach Angel Kinaelan (Imp Esp) (Hanna) 12 month old Irish type, lovely and square, neat head and ears, great front and rear, moved out well holding topline on the move.

2 Lakkas Yankee Sweet Silkcroft (Imp Swe) (Satherley & Satherley & Wynter) 10 months and needs to settle, moved well, handler over stretched the dog when standing.

3 Abiqua Wild in My Blue Jeans (Lines - Barrett & Barrett)

1 Arkenstone Thorin King under The Mountain Fantasa (Imp Isl) (Dunhill-Hall) Lovely young Irish dog which was handled beautifully to show off all his good points, good head and mouth, strong neck flowing into good shoulders and a deep chest moved out round the ring holding his topline, tail bang on top.

2 Denzilly Mr Trickster (Mulholland & Howell & Howell) Heavy coated type of good colour with a nice head and neat ears good front coat needs to settle.

3 Amivista’s Bunch Excuse Me (Imp Nld) (Woolley & Mossblad).

1 Vehnäpellon Marty Mcfly Vdh/kft Jch (Erdmann) 2 year old good head with neat ears big black nose coat falling in loose curls good topline moved out well to win the class.

2 Manawyddan Song for Ireland (Farquharson) Heavier cast dog than 1 but with a lot of the same attribute’s coat is on the change dog moved well to earn his placing.

3 Loofahsa King of The Pippins (Brooks).

1 Dannebriel We Will Rock You (ai) (Hart & Cook) 2 year old dog good size neat head coat on the change but colour and texture is coming did enough to win the class.

1 Wheaten Rebel’s Why Not vom Diekhof (Moeller-Sieber) A young dog from the top draw needs time to mature; good head, neat ears square jaw with a good mouth excellent neck and shoulder, good top line presented and showed well to win the class.

2 Rouxboos Space Cadet Glow (Cremerius). Two and a half year old smaller overall than one but a lot to like about this dog preferred the shoulders and top line of 1.

3 Saffini Smooth Operator at Julibidd (Herbert).

1/CC & BOB Ch Celtannia Atlantic Gold (Moles, Williams & Dalton) 6 year old dog I have judged before but has now matured into his full potential. Excellent head of the correct proportions, big black nose neat ears, deep chest and good ribcage, correct length of neck running into well placed shoulders, with a straight topline and tail on top, good hind quarters. Moved with drive round the ring, coat of correct colour and texture, sorry he had lost his sparkle when it came to the group ring.

2/RCC Bel/Nld/Int Ch Chaykyba The Miracle of Believe (Van Merrienboer-Montree) Another excellent 5 year old mature dog all the attributes of 1 and could change places with 1 on another day just preferred the rear end movement of 1, nice to find out at the end of the day that he was related to my bitch CC winner.

3 Ch House of Softy Indus (Imp Swe) ShCEx (Charleton).

1 Janeyjimjams Jem Devlin (Grimes & Watson) 5 year old, enjoying his day out good head and body, nice mouth coat not a soft as some, did enough to win the class.

2 Thistlebe Master of The Malt (Mcintyre) Much younger dog another good head with neat ears, movement was fair and the coat is on the change.

1/B.Vet Ch Silkcroft Sky Full of Stars ShCM Ir Jch (Satherley) 10 year old quality bitch put down in excellent condition for her age lovely and square, coat of correct texture moved around the ring as if she owned it.

2 Ch Janeyjimjams Jolene at Keevasdream VW (Hughlock) 9 year old bitch with a super coat, nice head and neat ears, longer cast than one.

3 Int/Vdh/Kft Ch Ballyhara’s Treasure from Trá Lí Vdh/kft/nl/l Jch (Erdmann).

1 Abiqua Wild Burlesque (Mapson) 8 month old, well presented bitch nice and square and correct for size neat head good shoulders and top line moved out well.

JB (5,1)

1 Denzilly Poppet Magic (ai) (Ronan) Nice and square good head and ears coat of good colour and texture when moving you could see the full potential of this youngster.

2 Denzilly Waking The Witch (ai) (Dowdy) Litter sister to one and perfectly schooled good head neck and shoulder longer cast then 1 coat on the change. Preferred the movement of 1 on the day.

3 Eblanahalls Kiss Curl JW (Lui).

1 Ch Silkcroft Fortune and Glory JW (Satherley) Nice head, excellent mouth and jaw good front and shoulder coat soft and flowing moved well to win the class.

PGB (10,3)

1 Raisingsands Girl in Amber (ai) (Taylor) Nice head with a good mouth correct for size and coat of correct colour and texture moved well to win the class.

2 Keevasdream Ballerina Blue JW (Hughlock) A lot to like, longer cast then one coat on the change moved and showed well.

3 Clanhanna A Kind of Magic for Emalot (ai) (Wassall).

1 Brynhir Born to Boogie at Starzak JW (Tilley) Traditional wheaten not over stylised lovely and square large head with neat ears good neck and shoulder level top line and in good coat would have liked a bit more colour for the complete package moved out well round the ring with a level top line and tail on top.

2 Kirktonhill A Touch of Snow ShCEx (Macgregor) Another wheaten with a lot of the attributes of one just a little nervous at times but did enough for 2nd place.

3 Eblanahalls Gold Limerence JW (Lui).

1 Nld Ch Zaghico Someone Like You (Nulens) This was a great class with a lot of top winning bitches my winner was a 4 year old that court my eye on entering the ring great head with neat ears good mouth with a square jaw nice length of neck with well placed shoulders coat of correct colour and texture excellent top line with tail on top moved and showed well to win the top spot.

2 House of Softy Indi Janeyjimjams (Imp Swe) (Charleton). Another 4 year old beautiful bitch put down in top order with a great head and front, deep chest, coat of correct texture and colour moved well round the ring just preferred the shorter coupling of 1.

3 Ch Denzilly Raspberry Beret (Paton).

1 Emalot Livin On A Prayer (Mason) Nice head ok mouth coat of good colour and texture moved well to win the class.
