SOFT COATED WHEATEN CRUFTS 20 Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier BEST OF BREED CH FANTASA BLONDE RUFUS Dog Owner: MS S WITHINGTON Always a great honour to judge and thank to the exhibitors for a lovely entry. My thanks also to the stewards for the smooth running of the ring. Pleased to report excellent temperaments however there are still concerns with dentition but was good to note some excellent mouths in the youngsters. Front movement needs watching with a number displaying untidy action which tends to reflect on head carriage. It was good to see correctly presented coats with no exaggeration. A very nice class to start the day. 1 Fallon’s Ch Janeyjimjams Jenson JW ShCM. Well known Ch in great form. Excellent head, correct ears eyes dark hazel with lovely expression. Strong muscular neck to short coupled body, deep chest ribs well sprung, hindquarters well muscled allowing for good drive in movement. In great coat of good colour. 2 Sefrin & Mengerink’s Kft/Vdh Nl/Cib Ch Strongbow’s Irwin Caerbhall. Another of excellent type, head of good proportions with nice set of ears pleasing expression, neck of fair length to well laid shoulders, strong body deep chest, level back short couplings good set on in good coat, steady on the move. 3 Mcintyre’s Thistlebe Mr Bojangles ShCM VW. Balanced head pleasing eye and expression, moderate length of neck strong body with ample depth, short loin free movement. Two nice puppies but very different. 1 Cartwright’s Saffini We Will Rock You. Squarely built of medium size, has a balanced head to fit body well placed ears body good bite, moderate length of neck, is short coupled with good depth of chest, good spring of rib, well coordinated movement for a youngster. BPD. 2 Satherley’s Silkcroft I Predict A Riot. Lots to like here but at present body needing to develop. Has a moderately long head, flat skull well placed ears, strong jaws good bite, neck of fair length with a decent front, moved freely. 1 Cartwright’s Saffini We Will Rock You. 2 Grimes & Watson’s Janeyjimjams Jem Devlin. Has a moderatly long head medium width of skull, dark hazel eyes fair length of neck, body needing more time to develop, has a level back, good set on covered the ground well on the move. 1 Cooper & Cole’s Olicanarocks Rombald. Has a nicely proportioned head, good ear placement, fair length of neck, strong body pleasing topline, tail set good, was a little loose in action coming forward. 2 Kenneally’s Loofahsa Humdinger. Balance in head if not a little strong in cheek, is short couped, enough depth well ribbed back, is short in loin just a little low set. 1 Boast’s Kaliclan Long May You Run. Has moderate length of head, clean cheeks, good bite, fair length of neck, decent front, well made body good spring of rib, in good coat moved well when settled. 2 Taylor’s Eblanahalls Teckle Ish At Raisingsands. Irish type with balanced head ears a little high set, has a good body short back and loin. Typical wavy coat, was rather unsettled in movement. LD (7,1) 1 Wardle’s Denzilly He’s Got The Look. Nicely proportioned head with good ear set neck of fair length, moderately wide chest, body well ribbed back good set on, pleasing coat and colour covered the ground well on the move. 2 Taylor’s Eblanahalls Silkbeard At Raisingsands. Moderately long head flat skull, has fair length of neck, could be a little shorter in coupling, moved away with drive but a little loose in front. 3 Watkins’ Zaraslake Lucky Seven. Medium size of compact build, head could have a little more length. Has good depth of chest nice spring of rib, level back good set on, was a little unsettled in movement. OD (15,3) Heading this quality class was: 1 Withington’s Ch Fantasa Blonde Rufus. Has a powerful head without being course, well placed dark hazel eyes correct ears good strength of muzzle. Has moderate length of neck to well laid shoulders. Is moderately wide in chest with ample depth, has short coupled body with strong level back. Ribs well sprung to short loin. Hindquarters muscular with good angulation hocks well let down, has well set tail. Moves with ease perfectly parallel with a text book front. Presented a superb topline with head held high as he flowed round the ring, pleased to award CC and BOB. 2 Dowdy’s Ch Greentree Gold Mombo To Denzilly (Imp USA) Have followed this boy’s career since a puppy and has well deserved his many top awards. He is of moderate size and so well balanced through out, his head is well prortioned with good strength to jaw and good bite. Neck strong slight arch, His compact body has ample depth ribs well sprung, muscled rear quarters good set on, has nice wave to soft coat, covers the ground well on the move, could have been a little more positive coming forward, RCC. 3 Moles, Williams & Dalton’s Ch Celtannia Atlantic Gold. Another top class dog, is son of above. Has an excellent head correct balance ears, strong muzzle good bite. Muscular neck of moderate length well laid back shoulders to powerful body with good depth, ribs well sprung, could be slightly shorter in couplings but has strong level back good set on. Hind quarters muscular, good bend of stifle, covers the ground on the move, pleasing coat and colour. Once again some lovely veterans. 1 Satherley’s Ch Silkcroft Colour Of Magic ShCM. After the judging was told that I had previously awarded this bitch a CC and can see why. Holding her mark of quality has typical head and expression, well made front assembly excellent compact body good spring of rib back strong and level, in very good coat and lovely condition. 2 Williams’ Ch Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock. This 12 yr old is a credit to her owner, has a balanced head well placed ears compact body, ample depth of chest muscled quarters with good set on, moved out very well. 3 Dewar’s Calvanace Blossom. Another of very good type in pleasing coat, is short coupled, good depth of chest, has strong level back well made quarters, could be a little more positive moving forward. PB (6) 1 Satherley’s Silkcroft Place Your Bets. Head of good proportion, flat skull of medium width, nicely placed dark hazel eyes, good strength of muzzle good bite, has fair length of neck to compact body well set tail, sound on the move. 2 Delaney’s Millyjoy A Drop Of Golden Sun. Has a balanced head but as yet not giving the expression needed. Has an excellent bite and liked her body shape, overall nicely put together which relected in her sound movement. 3 Bristow’s Saffini Love Of My Life For Avard. At present head needs to develop as appeared a little short, has well placed ears dark hazel eyes. Her body is compact with good depth to chest, strong level back good set on, in nice coat of good colour. JB (6,1) 1 Paton’s Denzilly Raspberry Beret. Has a typical head and expression with well placed ears, fair length of neck, well made compact body with good depth. Pleasing bone and substance, good tail set, covered the ground the ground well on the move. 2 Satherley & Witheyman’s Silkcroft Born This Way. Has a moderately long head with well placed dark hazel eyes, correct ears neck of fair length, has a short coupled body, good depth ribs well sprung a little gay in tail carriage, sound on the move. 3 Connor’s Regalred Miss Moneypenny. Good balance of head with well placed ears. Has a well made body, is short coupled with ample depth of chest, has good set on and moved well, coat a little woolly at present. YB (5) 1 Gale’s Meganelli Gorgeous In Gold. Head of good proportion well placed ears strong muzzle good bite, at just over 12 mths of age has time for beard to clear in colour. Has an excellent body, compact with good ribbing, deep chest, nice set on moved well. Interesting to see her dam is sister to the bitch CC winner. 2 Dowdy’s Denzilly Sweet Cariad. Could not help but notice her sire is the RCC dog as is the above. Again a nicely balanced head with typical expression, has fair reach of neck is short coupled with strong level back, well sprung ribs, a little gay in tail but pleasing coat and colour moved freely. 3 Brooks’ Loofahsa Hugger Mugger JW. Has a moderately long head, well placed dark hazel eyes, strong well made body, level back ample depth of chest, good set on, rather loose in front movement. 1 Satherley’s Silkcroft Never Miss A Beat. Most attractive exhibit did not look out of place at under 12 mths of age. Possesses a typical head and expression with correct ears, has fair length of neck to compact well made body, ample depth of chest with moderate width, loin short with well muscled hind quarters for age, has good angulation hocks well let down giving good drive at rear, just needing to tighten up in front, Pressed hard for RCC. 2 Johnstone & Blackhall’s Rouxboos Varga Girl. Well made althrough, head of good proportion has dark hazel eyes, moderate length of neck, compact body well ribbed back, good angulation to rear quarters, has well set tail. 3 Howes’ Daisymaes Tumbling Dice. A very nice type with pleasing head and eye. Body short coupled, level back with good set on, not giving her best on the move today. 1 Francis’ Sawheaten Kiss From A Rose. Ideal size possesses a lovely head with correct eye and ears giving typical expression. Good front assembly compact body with ample depth of chest, ribs well loin good set on sprung short loin, well set tail in attractive coat and colour. 2 Munn’s Snowmeadow Suzy Sixpence. This is an honest sound bitch with moderate length of head, flat skull good strenth of muzzle lovely hazel eye giving pleasing expression. Neck of fair length to strong well made body, ample depth of chest, good spring of rib, powerful well muscled quarters, well set tail not putting all in to moving today. 3 Clarke’s Flaxela Everlasting Love Ir Jr Ch. Such a well made moderate size bitch of Irish type. Balanced head dark hazel eye, fair in neck and shoulders, short level back good set on, nice wave to coat sound in movement. 1 Clarke’s Ch Flaxela Weaver Of Dreams JW ShCM. What can one say that has not been said, have admired when judged on a previous occassion and today was pleased to award the CC which I was told gave her the breed record. Needless to say did not disappoint, her quality and breed type remains. 2 Hughlock’s Janeyjimjams Jolene At Keevasdream. Another of quality, most typical head and expression, good front assembly short coupled body, well sprung ribs, ample depth excellent bone and substance, strong muscled quarters moved with drive, in good coat RCC. 3 Munn’s Snowmeadow Peggy Phurrari JW ShCM. One I have admired previously is most typical in make and shape make and shape, pleasing head and expression neck strong and muscular to powerful body. Good spring of rib level back, hind quarters well muscled with good bend of stifle, tail set good but a little lazy in carriage today. 1 Shrive’s Emalot Santa Maria. Pleasing head and expression, well placed ears, dark hazel eyes has strong muzzle, fair length of neck good body with ample depth, good set on, sound on the move. 2 Busby’s Calvenace Minnie Ha-Ha At Zakby ShCM. Has a compact body balanced head, could have a little more reach of neck, has good spring of rib, short loin, well set tail. 3 Connor’s Regalred Miss Moneypenny. |
