SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 16
Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers
Thank you to the exhibitors who took my appointment as replacement judge with such good grace, showing great sportsmanship to my winners. Get well soon Brenda.
1 Williams’ Flaxela Living Legend of Gwendonydd, lovely upstanding pup, would not want him to get too much bigger. Took my eye as he entered, moving well, beautiful coat of good colour, texture & shine, best head in the class, good dentition, & dark eye, lovely expression. Super neck & shoulders. Good body condition;
2 Lui’s Eblanahalls Aye Right, this chap pushed 1 hard, just losing out on rear movement, not being as positive as 1. Silky, shiny coat of fine texture & loose curls, good head, with dark pigment of eye rims, lips & nose. Lovely body, deep chest, solid topline, no exaggerations. Showing so well;
3 Watkin’s Zaraslake Lucky Seven.
1 Catlow’s Flaxela Too Fast For Love at Justjingo, presenting a good outline, this d has a well balanced head, good body with deep chest, coat just changing colour, moved soundly.
1 Bristow’s Denzilly Sweet Destiny for Avard, a good class, & this boy won with his overall balance, masculine head with flat skull, small neat ears, expressive eyes with great pigment, strong muzzle, good bite. Presentation top class, lovely shine to coat of good colour. Fluent movement holding strong topline. RCC;
2 Meister & Brooks’ Silkcroft Crests Of Waves, have admired this lad before, love his make & shape, good shoulder placement, lovely body & good rear angulation, moving well, but lost his bloom today & not the pigment of 1;
3 Moles & Williams’ Celtannia Extra Suave.
1 Johnstone’s Whitevale Motorway Madness at Rouxboos, a typical Wheaten! Well balanced & free & easy in movement, topped with a beautiful coat of good colour. Good masculine head, arched neck flowing into well placed shoulder, deep chest, level topline & powerful rear. CC;
2 Thackray’s Abiqua Wild On An Ace Trip, such a well made sound dog. Good head with kind expressive eyes, lovely in neck & shoulder, good topline, excellent rear quarters. Pale coat but with a stronger colour coming through. Moved well especially in profile showing good reach & drive;
3 Satherley & Smith’s Am Ch Haldane Chasin’ Tail.
1 Williams’ Ch Brynhir Rochelle Lil Rock, beautiful bitch wearing a lovely shiny coat, good head, neat ears, dark eyes with dark pigment, super neck & shoulders, level topline & good rear. Moved soundly, very well presented, worthy champion, could still give the younger bitches a run for their money;
2 Bristow’s Kellynack Viva La Passione for Avard, love her for her make & shape, very good for size, lovely coat of good colour. A sound free moving bitch with good rear angulation;
3 Jefferies’ Cuddly Keira.
1 Gale’s Flaxela Drop Dead Gorgeous, love her name because I thought she was! Great for size, compact square outline, good head planes, dark eye & neat ears, good shoulders & topline. Moving well, good texture to coat of lovely colour;
2 Lawrence’s Kinaelan Finlandia Gaia, in profile shows a little more length of back than 1 but all other good points apply. Stunning coat of good colour. Not so positive on the move today.
1 Clarke’s Flaxela Weaver of Dreams, tough decision, she took it on overall balance, I particularly liked her head properties, super neck crested with beautiful coat, good body, topline, excellent tailset, good rear. Moved well, deserved BP beating her brother & sister winning the puppy classes;
2 Satherley’s Silkcroft Auroras Encore, a rather petit girl unlucky to meet 1 on such form, love her body proportions, topline & well angulated rear, she has a good feminine head & soft expression. Moving well. May I say I would like to see her less trimmed, as she has the most beautiful coat;
3 Grant’s Dannebriel Gladly Godetia.
1 Johnstone’s Loofahsa Fianna Rouxboos, I liked this bitch for her good size & substance, & freedom of movement. Lovely balance to head, sweet feminine expression, good bite. Arched neck leading into well placed shoulders, level topline, good rear with strong hocks, giving propulsion. Shown in excellent condition. RCC;
2 Moles & Williams’ Celtannia Extra Chic, well balanced all though, good head & bite, lovely forequarters, level topline, good ribbing & strong rear, moving & showing well;
3 Satherley’s Silkcroft Auroras Encore.
Mouths need to be watched, too many lovely looking bitch paid for their less than perfect dentition.
1 Gullick’s Jaeva Just Peachy, a lovely bitch for size & shape, good head & skull, good width to muzzle which explains her beautiful teeth, of good size & perfect bite. Moving well, really striding out. Coat could be softer, but good colour now coming through;
2 Jefferies’ Frontline Simply Beautiful, a lovely headed bitch slightly longer cast than 1, super neck & shoulders, level topline, well ribbed body, good rear. Moving freely;
3 Satherley’s Silkcroft Sky Full Of Stars.
1 Moles & Williams Kinaelan Cachique at Celtannia, my find of the day! She’s super. Lovely head with dark eye & strong pigment giving kind expression, so balanced & short coupled making a lovely picture standing, super front, lovely shoulder placement, level topline, good ribs & rear angulation. Stunning soft shining coat falling in loose waves, moving with freedom & an air of self- importance! CC & BOB. Congratulations on her third CC & what a super way to finish by achieving G3;
2 Satherley’s Ch Silkcroft Colour Of Magic, correct head planes & good length to head sets this bitch apart, lovely expressive eyes, small neat ears. Good neck, forequarters, & level topline. Short coupled, strong rear, giving her driving movement. Good coat, well handled & presented;
3 Munn’s Snowmeadow Peggy Phurrrari.
