SOFT COATED WHEATEN JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 11

Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers

VD (1

) 1 Bristow’s Lilwaukee Leroy Brown for Avard, 7½ years, very well balanced with good type, nice neck & shoulders, strong behind, in good coat, went well,

PD (3)

1 Francis’ Amaricy Buffalo Soldier, 10 months upstanding male, lots to like for type & shape, good head planes, very good neck & shoulders with good spring of ribs, strong behind, once handler corrected his movement, moved really well with good sidegait. BP;

2 Dunhill’s Fantasa Blonde Neville, top quality puppy, lots to like about him, very well balanced, excellent condition. Lost out on front movement, handler moving him too fast for his stride;

3 Mapson’s Zaraslake Sirocco.

JD (5)

1 Fallon’s Jimjams Jenson, 13 months, very smart with good outline, well bodied, nice behind, excellent shoulders, tailset good, head planes pleasing. Would like a smaller eye;

2 Maleary’s Saffini Teenage Sensation, 15 months, very pleasing to go over, all the qualities of 1. Just lacked body of 1;

3 Pascoe’s Middlebury Shooting Star.

PGD (4)

1 M Shooting Star, nice quality & size, good type & balance, nicely bodied, excellent in front, lovely head. Fails behind, would like more strength. Pleasing dog to go over;

2 Francis’ Sawheaten Twasn’t Me, good bearings & bone. Lacks body at this moment in time. Good depth of chest, moved OK;

3 Bailey’s Amberstar Please Mr Postman.

LD (5)

1 Carter’s Chloeanco Hunni Dream, liked this dog as soon as he came in the ring for size, shape & type, excellent headplanes & correct eye, well laid back shoulders, good ribbing & short coupled, well off behind for strength, tailset on top, moved with drive & freedom, lovely coat texture, close decision for the CC, just preferred topline of the RCC, should not be long before he gets his title;

2 Shrives’ Starzak The Groover, liked for his outline, shape & type, very strong bodied & quarters, tailset good. Would like more head planes & could be tidier in front. Nice coated.

OD (7)

1 Leigh’s Starlight Master Of The Game, in different trim to rest of class winners but hands-on scored in true type & shape, beautiful head with lovely head planes & correct eye, correct length of neck with good crest, excellent neck & shoulders with the correct body, strong in back with strong topline, moved like a dream with plenty of covering to ground, very good strong quarters which he used. CC, his first;

2 Whitehead’s Shanghai Shoggoth, excellent quality & type with balance, liked front & body with nice short coupling, went a bit close behind on the move, in nice form.

VB (1)

1 Moran’s Abiua Wild-Rose For A Rose, 8 years, nice typy bitch, very feminine, moved OK, tailset good, in good form, handled well.

PB (4)

Nice class of puppies.

1 Watkins’ Zaraslake Seraphina, 12 months puppy, nice quality, lots to like about her, overall size & substance good for age, typical head & expression, good side gait, went well;

2 Revis’ Garsayno Gold Gemma, 12 months, liked for type, good expression & eye, very good front, OK body for age, went well;

3 Connor’s Fantasa Blonde Nell.

JB (3)

1 Escott’s Silkcroft Light Fantastic, star of the day, one I would take home, such a showgirl, excels for breed type, balance & quality, has all the essentials of a big winner for one so young, can only improve as she gets older, so sound with good extension front & rear, in lovely coat & handled so well, so pleased with her, looked well in the big ring, must be a future champion very soon. CC & BOB;

2 Grant’s Kellynack La Boheme, overall lovely quality, lovely head planes, well off for body, good balance & shape for size. Preferred movement & quarters of 1, but overall top quality youngster;

3 Wardle’s Saffini Yours Truly.

PGB (8)

1 Tanner’s Kariskiye Born To Bewitch, top drawer material, lovely breed type, ideal size & shape with good bone, typical head & expression, strong bodied, well coupled, lovely eye with good strong muzzle & planes, quarters are good with short hocks used on the move;

2 Barrett’s Saffini Truly Madly Deeply, won her place on overall type & balance, lots to like. Just preferred quarters on 1 on move;

3 Lawrence’s Emalot Little Miss Star.

LB (13)

1 Bristow’s Kellynack Viva La Passione for Avard, I liked a lot, liked overall type for shape & size, very good topline & coupled, nice class to win;

2 Withington’s Fantasa Blonde Lilley, lovely quality, top drawer material, very pleasing to go over, pleasing head & expression, lovely coat texture. Just not settled on the move, could have won class;

3 Grant’s Kellynack The Fabulous Fox.

OB (6)

1 Dowdy’s Ch Denzilly Toot Sweet, of ch material, lots to like, got lots of style & type, excellent body, make & shape, strong quarters. Just preferred Junior for overall finish & femininity. RCC.
