Stakes Classes and Junior Handling

Judge: John Catlow

Firstly, to say a big Thank You for a lovely day and experience. Hat’s off to such a hard working committee for making it all possible and also to see the wonderful tributes and accolades made to the outgoing chairperson Jane Charleton.

Junior Handling 6-11years (3,1)

1
Eliza Mason (10yrs)

2
Joshua Mason (10yrs)

Junior Handling 12-16 years (2,2)

Junior Handler Of The Year.

1
Eliza Mason From previous 6-11 class – simple, just in three words - did it all correctly!

2
Joshua Mason Smartly turned out and made a valiant effort. Few words of advice - need to stand up fully when moving and not crouch, remember what the judge says regarding the movement pattern and how many times to do it - lost points over this but easy to rectify and will do it much better next time.

Special Beginners Champagne Stakes (10,3)

1
McNeillis’ Celtannia Atlantic Star (d) Super all over shaping, nice head in proportion to all, good ear set, tail well positioned to top line, very good coat and texture. Moved well enough - more than earned the place.

2
Shears’ Denzilly Kinky Boots At Bearbay (b) Very pretty young lady has been known for being fidgety settling a bit better as getting a bit older now although needs to watch those tail down moments as will lose judging points and better placing however has many attributes and I think more to come very good top line and compact to size without exaggeration moved very well

3
Gleeson’s Glendowan Golden Brandy (b) Irish coat, well covered, you could see the effort that had gone into it and she looked good. Her owner had made the very best of her, she had super balance, well featured, standing on good tight feet and moved very well. Deserved to be placed.

4
Holding’s Celtannia Atlantic Gigolo (d)

5
Sheehan’s Keevasdream White Lace (b)

Special Puppy Stakes (4)

1
Thoburn’s Northridge Galway Girl (b)  Top quality with lovely head and expression, good ear setting, in proportion on body. Good top line and tail set, moved so well with plenty of rear drive on show.Didn't put a foot wrong - well deserved first.

2
Bristow’s Saffini Love Of My Life For Avard (b) Another high quality youngster in this class. Little lacking in experience as yet but has the grounding for better to come. Lovely head and ear set, really nice coat, very good balance all round. Quality in all areas.

3
Gale’s Meganelli Gorgeous In Gold (b) Very fidgety and tail down, not really too happy with proceedings and lost better place over this. However nice head and features, nice and short coupled with good front and rear quarters. Moved ok but could have been better, a little work in progress but worth it with what she has going for her.

4
Hewitt’s Meganelli Lucky In Love

Special Members (14,2)

1
Francis’ Sawheaten Kiss From A Rose (b) Has that ring presence in this very competitive class. Very compact, nice head and expression with complimentary ear set, strong neck to shoulder ratio, good top line into tail set, good feet giving that all important balance, hold and look. Very clean lines, moves very well, effortlessly for and aft.

2
Shrive’s Emalot Sweet Child O’mine (b) Nice and compact all round, from good feet foundation upwards. Strong head with features in a feminine way, nice coverings with good top line to tail set, shows and moves as one, motion extremely effortless.

3
Herbert’s Julibidd Maybe I'm Amazed (b) Short coupled, stands four square, lovely expression and head set, well featured with clear cut lines, strong top line to compliment, moves all good, fore and aft.
