I think Lakelands are turning the corner, for a vulnerable breed the quality was quite high. The Fox Terrier type of heads are almost gone & mouths & movement were mainly good.

PD (4,3a)

1 Kenyon’s Wyndam Blackjack, very raw. Proper Lakeland head, small well placed ears, correct shoulders & topline, good angulation, moved OK when settled.BP.

JD (3)

1 Averis’ Saredon Flashback, to type, short coupled, balanced head, dark eye, good ear carriage, neck & shoulders, level topline, tail on top, well muscled second thigh, short hocks, in really hard condition, put down to perfection, moved with drive;

2 Barnes-Davies’ Ebrooks Raffles, good neck, well laid shoulders, straight front, nice head & ears. Would like shorter back. Moved & showed.

LD (2,1)

1 Connell & Callon’s Sonorra Spellcaster, correct size, straight front, plenty of bone, balanced head, small well placed ears, good neck & shoulders, well ribbed back, good tailset, short hocks, really harsh coat, well put down, never stopped showing. RCC.

OD (3,1)

1 Johnston’s Louieville Red Prince, classy dog, no hint of coarseness, proper Lakeland head, small dark eyes, nice ear carriage, arched neck, well laid shoulders, short coupled, level topline, tail on top, strong thighs, short hocks, compact feet, excellent mover, well put down, real showman. CC & BOB;

2 Watkkins’ Ebrooks Hickori at Zaraslake, pleasing head & ears, good shoulders, straight front, short coupled, good tailset with plenty behind. Movement could be better.

PB (4,2)

1 Walker, Barratt & Averis’ Saredon Curtain Roll, very much a baby, nice head & ears used to advantage, well boned, good feet & tailset, moved & showed well;

2 Kenyon’s Wyndam Witchcraft, nice type, short coupled, good head, small dark eyes, proper ear carriage, correct shoulders, moved OK when settled. Needs time.

JB (2)

1 Averis’ Saredon For Your Eyes Only, cracking red, beautiful front, small catlike feet, proper Lakeland head, nicely arched neck, well placed shoulders, deep chest, well ribbed back, short loin, good tailset, short hocks, moved with drive, well put down, can only get better as she matures. CC;

2 McCallum’s Glentops Bubble And Squeak, balanced head, good ear carriage, arched neck, good shoulders, straight front, tight feet, short back, tail on top, well muscled second thigh, moved & showed.

PGB (2)

1 Ashe’s Ebrooks Ruby, correct head, small dark eye, neat well placed ears, good length of neck, correct shoulders, well ribbed back, good crisp coat, well put down, moved true coming & going, never stopped showing;

2 Benyon’s Sonorra Magic Moment, cobby type, straight front, tight feet, balanced head, good ear placement. Little stuffy in neck. Shoulders OK, deep chest, moved & showed OK.

LB (4,2)

1 Harrison’s Saredon Showgirl at Anfranjo, beautiful head & ears, nice neck & shoulders, well ribbed back, level topline, tail on top, good bend of stifle, harsh coat, well put down, moved with drive;

2 Graham’s Stanstead Take A Chance On Me, good size, pleasing neck & shoulders, level topline, good angulation, short hocks. Head a bit too much like a Fox Terrier head. Moved & showed well.

OB

1 McCallum’s Glentops Bidin’ My Time, good Lakeland head & ears, nice neck & shoulders, short coupled, well ribbed up, good tailset, plenty behind, strong backend, good bone, tight feet, crisp coat. RCC;

2 Bales’ Selab Di-Do, balanced head, small dark eyes, straight front, good feet, neck & shoulders, ultra short back, correct tailset, moved & showed well. Would look better with more jacket & little more hair left on tail.
