GLEN OF IMAAL SKC MAY 11 Judge(s) MR A P STEPHENSON DCC CH/INT CH BROCKLAND BRAYHEAD LAD (MRS R WELCH) Glen of Imaal Terriers PGD (3) 1 Welch’s Romainville Brannigan at Brockland, wheaten, good strong head, dark eye, spot on mouth, well laid back, good balanced body, front & rear good, tailset spot-on, very well balanced body, moved soundly; 2 Horton’s Jeonty Highland Boy, well balanced, moving well. Just preferred bite of 1 & jacket at this moment; 3 Hardy’s Amhard Freebooter. LD (3) 1 Garner’s Johnny Be Good at Romainville, wheaten, correct size, good strong head, correct jaw, bite spot-on, strong neck & well laid shoulders, good body & topline, well set tail, coat in very good condition, sound movement. RCC; 2 Rogers’ Jeonty Wanabee Bauer, wheaten, what a lovely looking dog when stood but let down so badly on the move which despite his handler’s determination to try & get him to move could not & therefore paid the price. OD (2) 1 Welch’s Ch/Int Ch Brockland Brayhead Lad, brindle, such a beautiful outline, so alert, in hard condition, such sound positive movement. I would like to thank the owner/breeder for showing him to me for the second time, he is a credit to the breeder & the breed. CC & BOB; 2 Hardy’s Amhard Damson Sauce, brindle, shade smaller than 1. Sound head, good bite, extremely alert, good body & topline, tailset good, movement sound. Pushed for RCC but decided in the challenge it was playtime which cost him dearly. JB (1) 1 Rogers’ Winnie Wanna Make Music by Jeonty, wheaten, sweet head & very nice dark eye. Not alert today. Good neck & shoulders. Appeared to have an extent red topline which is not helped by her tailset. Has wonderful free movement & a very positive attitude. Jacket coming on nicely. LB (2) 1 Baldock’s Jeonty Maybee Daysee, wheaten, very feminine head, dark eye, nice bite. Not always alert. Strong neck, front & rear sound, super outline, well set happy tail. Her jacket could do with sorting out to fulfil the picture. CC; 2 Wakefield’s Abberann Delta Lady at Norriss, very small bitch, dark eye with not very much underjaw. Front & rear OK. Not the best of toplines, waving her tail & enjoying her day out. Moved freely. Her coat needs attention. OB (1) 1 Forbes’ Ch Jeonty Hasaceilidh with Karensbrae, brindle, a truly favourite of mine but today she was not as alert as I have seen in the past. Still a lovely outline & with age her dentistry is well worn. Moved well & in good condition. Her young handler pulled out all the stops. RCC. ALLAN P STEPHENSON |
