GLEN OF IMAAL DRIFFIELD 09 Judge: Mr Bob Cross BEST OF BREED : 5192 ASHCROFT Mr S J & Mrs M R Romainville Typhoon
Glen of Imaal Terriers I was disappointed with the entry but it is surely a sign of the times with the financial restrictions a recession places on such hobbies as dog showing. PD (1) 1 Hardy’s Amhard Freebooter, just coming up 8 months, this young grey man is quite full of himself, lovely strong head for his age with nice dark eye & good balance of skull to foreface, very good bite with strong well developed dentition, good strong neck for his age & his developing front is just about right for his age with good bone & substance, good strong ribcage, nice short loin giving a nice outline when standing, his developing quarters are well muscled for his age, moves soundly both ends & did everything his handler asked of him, a nice puppy who should have a bright future. Just giving away too much in maturity to the PGD winner but given time who knows. JD & YD (0). PGD (1) 1 Ashcroft’s Romainville Typhoon, this silver grey is strongly made, well balanced skull with good planes & ratio of skull to foreface, well set ear carriage, a kindly eye & a good scissor bite, strongly made neck runs nicely into a well boned & well laid front assembly with a ribcage of good length & nice depth following on, good muscletone in a set of well made quarters with nice low hocks giving a sound positive action going away. Topline was a shade too level at times & spoiled the outline when standing. Much more mature both in head & substance than the BB that he could not be denied BOB. LD & OD (0). PB (1) 1 Hardy’s Amhard Feeling So Cool, litter sister to Puppy Dog winner but not so confident or forward in development. Nicely balanced head with a nice eye & good bite, neck is strong for her build, nice front assembly, rib is developing nicely, nice outline when she settles down to the job on hand, unfortunately that was not very often during her time in the ring but she is only a baby. Had to give way to her brother in the challenge for BP. JB (1) 1 Baldock’s Jeonty Maybe Daysee, attractive wheaten, very nice overall body shape, toning eye & good bite set in a maturing head with good skull & foreface balance, nice neck & shoulders, good well sprung rib, nice short loin with good strength throughout, quarters have good muscletone for her age. Not so steady at times on the move over the rough surface of the ring. In good condition & well handled. BB. YB, PGB & LB (0). OB (0). BOB CROSS |
