Dandie Dinmont Terriers

Thank you to the show committee & officers of Boston for the invitation to judge this lovely show. Also to all those who entered giving a great entry including a number of new exhibitors. I was very pleased with my winners & was delighted to see my BOB shortlisted to the final 6 in the terrier group, & BD/BP taking PG2.

PD (1)

1 Kurg’s Hawkesmill Jefferson at Etsill, a lot to like, calm & collected. Good expression, strong masculine head. Rear angulation & shoulder placement as it should be. Crisp coat well presented. Nice topline & overall balance. BD & BP.

JD (1)

1 Eve’s German Dandies Tom Jones at Sylvanken, such a lovely expression. Good head, crisp coat. Elbows need to tighten coming forward. Pleasing masculine well presented boy.

PGD (4)

1 Sleight’s Bonnybeck Moonlight Bay, up to size dog. Crisp coat, holds topline on move. Nice expression. Strong chest with good length of loin. Slightly heavier in shoulder which could improve with less coat here. RBD;

2 Noble’s Hawkesmill Indiana, lovely boy, lots to like. Less mature than 1 but once settles could swap places. Slightly longer in loin. Good length of neck. Good head & expression;

3 Atkinson’s Berdinbrook Golden Fleece.

OD (0).

PB (3,1a)

1 Milton’s Hawkesmill Jenny for Wilmit, pleasing bitch, feminine. Nice shoulder placement with corresponding rear angulation. Composed. Crispest coat of the day;

2 Atkinson’s Kingcottage Abilene West, happy girl at first show, enjoying her day. Slightly upright shoulder with greater length in rear leg.

JB (2)

1 Chapman-King’s Inzievar Gold Spark, lovely Dandie movement, smooth & effortless. Holds topline. Lovely shoulders. Coat of good quality & presentation. Gorgeous expression. BB & BOB;

2 Atkinson’s Kingcottage Abilene West.

PGB (2)

1 King’s Bonnybeck Delilah Creek, preferred head & expression of this girl. Coat of good texture & colour. Would prefer more angulation. Well sprung rib;

2 Eve’s Sylvanken Silver Dawn, sweet girl. Preferred head of 1. Nice length. Slightly upright in shoulder. Close behind.

OB (4,1)

1 Russell’s Hawkesmills Ishbelle, nice head & expression. Nice rear angulation with good tail carriage. Kept topline on move. Crisp coat. Well balanced picture. RBB;

2 Kurg’s Etsill Skara Brae, nice head. Less settled than 1 & preferred rear angulation of 1 when stacked today. Small, feminine balanced girl;

3 Eve’s Oaksleigh Minnehaha of Sylvanken.

A SKITT
