BEDLINGTON WINDSOR 09 Judge: Mr R Garbutt BEDLINGTON JUDGE WINDSOR 09 Bedlington Terriers I was pleased to see all had good feet. Overall movement was good. I find the bitches have more quality & have more of a unified size. Just a shame tails are spoiling some of the outlines. The size of some dogs are worrying, this should be taken in to consideration when looking for a stud. PD (3) 1 Palmer & Roberts’ Jetsway Captain Morgan, correct size dog, lovely blue coat of right texture, nice head with correct bite, needs to settle down, has potential; 2 Hyde’s Gnejnabay Chok, liver, larger all round than 1, moved correctly, good length of head with correct bite. Just preferred the size of 1; 3 Crump’s Pengerrig Renown. JD (2) 1 Walshaw’s Janmark Blue Encounter, nice dog, good head with dark eye & strong bite, correct layback of shoulders, good bend of stifle, played his handler up on the move. Did consider for RCC but tended to flatten out on the move; 2 Hobbs’ Linbarick King Amritha, shorter coupled than 1. Nice head & correct bite, correct movement coming & going. Did not have the bone of 1. PGD (3) 1 J Blue Encounter; 2 Colley’s Burmington Jack Bojangles, liver dog, nice size, correct bite, nice layback of shoulders, very proud of his tail, moved OK; 3 Button’s Harris Club Flash Harry. LD (8) 1 Owen’s Bisbee Blue Max, on the day this dog looked the business, good head with dark eye, correct bite, long neck into good layback of shoulders, good depth of brisket, in nice coat, on the move did nothing wrong. CC, his third, & BOB; 2 Ames’ Sharnor Blue Diamond, shorter coupled than 1, correct high to length, moved well & kept shape. Would just have preferred more bone, coat a little soft but with good furnishings; 3 Taylor’s Uptnorth Ombudsman. OD (6) 1 Davies’ Ch Honeymist Miles High, correct size dog with good outline. One of the best coats of the day, correct bite, nice flat sides & depth of rib, very nice to go over, good front & correct bend of stifle, held his shape on the move with good tail carriage. RCC; 2 Richardson’s Uptnorth Quicksilver, nice dog, good head & correct bite with small dark eye, long neck leading into good shoulders, nice depth of brisket & correct bend of stifle, moved well but tends to flatten out which cost him; 3 Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke. PB (5,1a) 1 Yearley’s Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, liver, could not fault her, beautiful to go over, correct height to length with good bite & good eye, very true coming & going, very mature for one so young. BP; 2 Thompson’s Jetsway Absolut Bling, one for the future, nice feminine head & correct bite, good neck carriage leading to good shoulders, nice depth of brisket for one so young with lovely blue jacket; 3 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Truffles. JB (4,1) 1 G Genegenie Gal at L; 2 Hewitt-Taylor’s Mollora Archangelica for Tobanie, nice youngster, correct size, good bite, good movement, kept shape on the move, one for the future; 3 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove. PGB (7,1) 1 Welsh’s Wudrusjuk Work Of Art, super little bitch, good head, bite & eye, nice thin ears, lovely neck leading into correct shoulders, good front & correct bend of stifle, when asked to move she strode the ring beautifully; 2 Rainsbury’s Sevray Repique, nice bitch, good height to length, good bite & correct size, did nothing wrong, just preferred the movement of 1. Another for the future, these two will change places many times I’m sure; 3 Winstanley’s Catchfraze Flirty Girty. LB (5,1) 1 Collier’s Mollora Little Rosie at Pocoblu, little bitch I have admired for some time, lovely to go over, very true with correct height to length & correct horseshoe front, good depth of brisket & correct angulation on good feet, perfect bite & nice dark eye, looked a picture standing, handled by her young handler to perfection. CC; 2 Walsh’s Lowbrook London pride at Amurospa, similar to 1, bit shorter in back & taller, another decent bitch, good depth of body with plenty of muscle & nice tail carriage, moved well; 3 Owen’s Bisbee Bobbie Dazzler. OB (9,1) 1 Richardson’s Ch Uptnorth Sister Bliss, very nice bitch, good head with correct bite & eye, good shoulders, nice depth of rib, coat of good texture. True coming & going, nice fallaway with correct bend of stifle, correct tail carriage, just got piped by a bitch on top form. RCC; 2 Morrice’s Ch Mollora Fancy Pants, taller than 1, very good length of head with good bite, moved true, kept shape with nice neck leading into correct shoulders. I just would have preferred more colour & texture to coat; 3 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Sapphire. Breeder 1 Bannister, nice quartet of dogs in good coat, well muscled, moved as one. Pleased to see they won the breeders group once again. RALPH GARBUTT
