BEDLINGTON WELSH KC 11 Judge: Mrs S Baldwin BEDLINGTON JUDGE WELSH KC 11 BEDLINGTON TERRIER I would like to thank Welsh Kennel Club for inviting me to judge at this prestigious show and thank my stewards for keeping everything running smoothly. I found no bad mouths or feet; fronts could have been better in a number of exhibits and close movement at the rear is still a problem, most were in good condition with good muscle tone. PD (1 1 Garbutt's Highdene Hitman at Aireview, 9 month old blue, ideal size with well balanced body, good head and eye, coat of good colour but a little soft as is to be expected in a puppy. Moved out well for age but losing his topline at times. JD (1) 1 Scorah-Wiles' Isotops Bumblebee From Rivendown, 17 month old blue imported from Sweden, a heavier built dog, lovely head, good eye and correctly shaped and sized ears; with good shoulders and depth of brisket, presented a lovely profile and kept his topline on the move. LD (3,1) 1 Cumming's Rocabec Definitely Maybe, 21 month old blue with good coat colour, ideal size, well proportioned with good rear angulation and tail placement. Moved OK. 2 Palmer & Roberts' Jetsway Captain Morgan, 3 year old blue, coat of good colour and texture; ideal size with a good head, eyes, ears and mouth, movement rather erratic on the day. OD (4) 1 Davies Bla Skuggans Jack In The Box at Honeymist (Imp Swe), another Swedish import, a 3 year old well made liver, lovely shape which he kept on the move, strong head without coarseness, good neck and shoulders, correct front; good angulation front and rear which showed in his sound movement. CC. 2 Davies Ch Honeymist Miles High, 6 year old blue with a good coloured and textured coat, good depth of brisket, well proportioned body with good rear angulation, just lost his topline on the move. RCC. 3 Ames Sharnor Faithful Falcon. PB (2,1) 1 Hurley's Fralex Culibre Pharos, what a little cracker, lovely make and shape with a good coloured and textured liver coat for an 11 month old puppy. Good head, with foreface, true front, good shoulder placement, she presented a lovely outline both standing and on the move although her movement was a little erratic at times, she did enough to win BP, CC and BOB. A lovely bitch without exaggeration. JB (2) 1 Evans & Burgess' Mordraig Saffina, a well made 16 month old blue, good head, mouth and ears. Liked her shape and proportions, good coat colour and texture, good rear angulation, moved well. 2 Lacey's Bowlingbrook Trick Or Treat, a 12 month old blue, shorter in the body than 1, movement OK, just preferred the overall make and shape of 1. LB (2) 1 Lacey's Bowling Brook My Blue Heaven, a 3 year old well coated blue, she has a good head and depth of brisket; although taller than her daughter in the previous class she moved out well with her well angulated rear quarters. 2 Evans & Burgess' Kardomas Dainty Bess, a 5 year old blue whose coat was rather pale and soft. A well made bitch who lost her topline on the move which made her look long in the body. OB (4) 1 Ames' Sharnor Emerald Electra JW, a 20 month old correctly sized blue, with a beautifully textured and coloured coat; correctly proportioned with a good head, well made body and strong quarters, moved well, RCC. 2 Hurley's Ch Fralex Culibre Saphire, a 5 year old blue, another of the correct size with a lovely coloured and textured coat, well proportioned body and moved out well, very close, just preferred the head of 1. 3 Davies' Honeymist Crazy Rhythm.
