BEDLINGTON WELSH KENNEL CLUB 09 Judge: Mrs P Hollings BEDLINGTON JUDGE WELSH KC 09 Bedlington Terriers PD (3,1a) 1 Palmer & Roberts’ Jetsway Captain Morgan, pleasing head on this 12 months with clean rounded skull, long neck fitting well into shoulders, scored in coat of correct linty texture. A little erratic on the move but had glimpses of true action; 2 Potts’ Darrengarth Russet Rogue, balanced head proportions, strength in underjaw housing big white well placed teeth, good pigmentation, very well developed quarters. Not the coat texture of 1 at present. JD (2) Pleasing pair here. 1 Walshaw’s Janmark Blue Encounter, he just had the edge in front movement here. He is very typical in outline which he retained when going, skull shows masculinity yet not wide or course, good filling under his bright small expressive eye, correct width of brisket with front legs straight & coming together well at foot, has good depth rising to correct tuck, well defined hindquarters, his thick coat of correct texture is beautifully presented & he is lithe & active in action, very close to top honours; 2 Hyde’s Gnejnabay Chocko Pops, looking at the affix as I write I obviously like this sort, he is satisfying to go over, appeals in outline & side gait, super expression from his small well shaped eye, he has balance & condition & was presented in good coat. PGD (1) 1 Baldwin’s Woolytop Another Star, controlled, positive & light in movement, he appealed in head, clean & correct proportions, well set fine ear, good set-on of neck, decent quarters & coat. LD (5,2) 1 Cumming’s Honeymist Blue Flame at Rocabec, thought highly of his outline & balance all through, strength in foreface with close fitting lip, housing big teeth with correct bite, has depth & width in forechest with straight legs to super feet & pads, topline correct giving smooth rise & complementary tuck, lithe free mover, well prepared coat; 2 Davies’ Bla Skuggans Jack In The Box, thought he would be my winner initially but started to lean back & did not put all in here. If we had been outside it could have been a different story. He has quality & his super coat of correct texture is prepared expertly; 3 Mayers’ Tolpedn Talking Point. OD (8) Thought this a super class with quality throughout, which makes for satisfying judging. 1 Kiernan & Liu’s Bisbee Boy Wonder, he impressed me on first appraisal & did nothing to disappoint when going over his, this confirmed his correct foot fall & light, easy action, he gives the impression of masculinity, yet just right for size & outline, his skull is deep & rounded yet clean, he has good filling & dark eye with expression which shows confidence, his fine well shaped ear is set right to hang correctly, beautifully put together to present a flowing, typical outline, excellent muscle definition in quarters, his positive spring sound gait is stylish. CC, his first I believe, feel he should make up with no trouble; 2 Davies’ Ch Honeymist Miles High, think I have judged this chap before, under his beautifully prepared linty coat he is clean masculine & mature which clinched him RCC over the JD. He works perfectly with his handler, presenting a picture of sound light movement; 3 Walshaw’s Janmark Alannora. PB (5) 1 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Truffles, this beautiful young lady stood out, even in this decent class, she has an abundance of quality & a fabulous personality which makes her so much in the eye, very satisfying to judge as each part, fits smoothly into the next giving a typical picture, her movement is correct & her temperament takes her to another level, coat of quality expertly prepared. BP; 2 Mayers’ Tcheria Tiddlywink, just a baby but has the required outline & type to appeal, scores in head, eye & front, just needs time; 3 Horsewood’s Aireview Special Print. JB (4,2) 1 F Culibre Truffles; 2 Staynings’ Saphrodite’s Sun Kissed Lady, a little unsettled on the move in comparison to 1. Pleasing head & mouth, correct body for age, topline rises well over loin to sound quarters, linty coat. PGB (4,1) 1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, very stylish, forward going, confident bitch, doing her job well, she scored over 2 in this movement but both have type & good proportions & were a pleasure to judge; 2 Davies’ Honeymist Stitch In Time; 3 S Sun Kissed Lady. LB (5) 1 Hyde’s Gnejnabay Madam Dominica, this bitch struck me as I looked at the class initially, she oozes quality, is muscular yet feminine, I found her balanced with flowing outline & correct curve over loin, her head & expression depict the breed, has depth & width in forehand, correct ribbing & underline, excels in quarters, has a coat of good texture, is very sound & typical in movement with well set tail. RCC, heard afterwards that she is the dam of BOB; 2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Matilda, gained her place by a whisker over 3. Liked her size, femininity, & outline, typically made, lithe moving bitch; 3 Owen’s Bisbee Bobbie Dazzler. OB (9,1) 1 Yearley’s Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, headed a super class, this stunning bitch I was told gained her title here & her 5th CC so I am not the only one to be taken by her quality & beautiful, positive lithe, easy action, holding her shape & using her well set tail just right, presentation was fist class. What more needs to be said? CC & BOB; 2 Davies’ Honeymist Tease N Freeze, very lovely bitch of quality, immaculate presentation & finish; 3 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Sapphire. PATSY HOLLINGS (Judge)
