BEDLINGTON JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 24

I must thank the society for the invitation to judge today and a huge thank you to all the exhibitors today who brought their dogs for me to judge, giving me this opportunity. Also the kind and able stewards, I thoroughly enjoyed my day.

PD (1)

1 Conekesheved Out of The Blue (Mcnally) A top quality young dog, of good size and breed type with nice straight front and pleasing head with strong muzzle. He has a good topline colouring and pigment with good shaped eye and a nice low tail set. On the move he presented even better showing the required Bedlington movement and light on his feet. RBD BP

PGD (4,1)

1 Mactufts Brave Mans Game (Nunn) Bit lighter in colour than last class but had dark pigmentation. Good strong head with length and width and good ears. He has a good topline and moved the best in the class, despite being a bit proud of his tail on the move.

2 Bisbee Bulldozer with Tessarion (Lowe). Good head but would prefer a little more length in the muzzle, lovely reach of neck. Has a nice topline and correct low tail set. Lost out on movement today.

3 Travellerways Godwin at Dunkeswell (Long)

OD (3,2)

1 Ch/ir Ch L’end Show Melody Maker (Imp Rus) (Scott) Excellent shape and all round balance with a thick linty coat. Good length of head with dark eye, lovely front and shoulder placement with good depth of chest. He has a flowing correct topline with good quarters and good tail set. Moving well and typical of the breed. BD, BOS

JB (3,1)

1 Mickleview Silent Storm (Scott) Nice balanced overall picture, she shows character and attitude. Nice shaped skull with good reach of neck lovely dark eye and nice size ears. Good firm body but also elegant and feminine. RBB

2 Dunkeswell Pepper Dash (Long) Nice bitch but topline not quite as good and strong as winner. Lovely dark eye and good ears. Nice straight front and good low tail set.

PGB (1)

1 Dunkeswell Pebble Run (Long) Smaller type, feminine, nice head, enough bone. She has plenty of body and substance and moved well.

OB (4,3)

1 Ch Conekesheved Too Shy JW (Mcnally) Larger in size, however, this bitch is well balanced and excels in so many breed attributes. Fabulous head, balanced, lovely straight clean front flowing into well laid shoulders. Good pigment, dark eye and well set ears, with good depth of body and nice ribs. She has a good topline which is kept on the move and a nice low tail set. Very Well presented and handled. The movement is so typically fluid and free moving. Happy to see them placed Terrier Group 1 today.
