BEDLINGTON JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 15

Bedlington Terriers

Thank you to the Three Counties Dog Show committee for the opportunity to judge Bedlingtons at their show.

I found no cracked feet or bad mouths. I found the variation in type did not make decisions easy & gave me reason to surprise myself with some of the placings. Movement was affected in some exhibits as it was one of the rare hot days so far this year!

PD (0). JD (1) A. PGD (0).

OD (2)

1 Jones’ Pengerrig Unique, strong mature blue male. Nicely boned & well muscled. Good head with strong jaw & large teeth. Typical horseshoe front. Decent topline which he kept on the move, movement light & fluid. Well shaped hare feet. Coat OK. Tail carriage not his best feature. BD;

2 Pedersen’s Sharnor High Intensity, lighter built lovely coated blue dog, which was very thick with a bit of twist & of a good colour. Good head & expression. Very nice proportions but just lost topline slightly on the move. Has plenty of promise & should do well. RBD.

PB (1)

1 Kinns’ Kinnuva Siam Jewel, blue bitch of almost 12 months. Nice size & length. Decent head with lovely expressive dark eye & flat cheeks. Well muscled rearquarters & good angulation, moved quite well. BP.

JB (2)

1 Ames’ Sharnor Instant Infatuation, feminine dark blue bitch. Nice head, sparkling dark eye & flat cheeks. Good depth of brisket with tuck up. Well angulated rearquarters. Moved quite well;

2 Yearley’s Lowbrook Little Mo, another dark blue bitch of very different type to 1st , being much lathier in build. Long tapering head with mild expression, flat cheeks & thin ears. Would like her to have more depth in brisket & substance but time is on her side. Movement light & fluid.

PGB (4,1)

1 Hurley’s L’End Show Melissa Blu Flower at Fralex, blue bitch with exceptionally dense coat, which was rather excessive for my taste as it made her look larger & heavier than she actually is. Under that coat however is a well constructed bitch of good proportions. Lovely head with good length & strong under jaw, very good dentition. Good depth of brisket & tuck up. Moved well with good drive from the rear. BB & BOB;

2 Kinns’ Burmington Reet Petite at Kinnuva, smaller very well muscled liver bitch. Good topline & proportions. Attractive head with flat cheeks, strong jaws & lovely amber eyes. Not quite the sparkle of 1st but moved steadily with purpose. Looked like she would happily do a day’s work;

3 Yearley’s Lowbrook Little Mo.

OB (4)

Four very nice bitches.

1 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, very nice liver bitch of lovely make & shape. Quality head with good dentition. Excellent front construction. Super depth of brisket although carrying a little too much weight today. Still won this class on precise and typical movement. It was a pleasure to go over her. RBB;

2 Williams’ Ystwythbay Rhapsody In Blue, another well constructed & very honest blue of good proportions. Nice front & rear angulations, good depth of chest with plenty of room for heart. Didn’t have quite the precision of movement of 1st;

3 Ames’ Sharnor High Hopes.
