BEDLINGTON SOUTHERN COUNTIES 13 Judge(s): MR CHRIS PICK (VERANNA) Bedlington Terriers It was a well run show & a decent entry awaited me. One or two observations to mention. I was pleased with the overall presentation & muscletone with a few exceptions. Mouths & teeth were mostly clean; only one iffy mouth. A few rather high tails to be seen. Movement varied from excellent to poor. Feet were generally very good with smooth pads, but a lot of long claws. Coat quality, texture & colour need attention & guard hairs are virtually non existent. Toplines need to be looked at. A lot of variation especially on the move. A few sprung ribs were noted, losing depth in brisket. PD (2) 1 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Chaser, 8 months, lovely blue coat, good overall outline & well muscled throughout, good head, dark eyes, clean bite, reachy neck, good height to length ratio. Movement still skittish as yet, but will settle. Promising happy puppy; 2 McCourt’s Burmington Hush A Bye, 11 months, nice liver coat colour, but rather lank just now, longer in back than 1, but good outline & tuck up. Good head, ears, eyes & length of neck, nicely muscled, good legs & feet. Movement a bit erratic but should improve, promising youngster. JD (1) 1 Honey’s Burbeach Sunlight, 13 months, good dark blue coat, slightly short head but adequate neck length, nice dark eyes with fine ears & correct mouth & bite, good overall shape. Needs to mature up soon, but well muscled all through. Has potential when trained, movement not there yet but good legs & feet & nice presentation. PGD (0). LD (4) 1 Brady & Carters’ Tcheria Shenanigans, up to size with blue coat which is rather fine in texture. Good head & furnishings, clean bite & mouth, reachy neck into good flat shoulders & depth in brisket, nicely muscled & good angulation, lovely horseshoe front, flowing pasterns, well off for bone, good feet & smooth pads, moved well coming & going, well presented; 2 Davies’ Honeymist Sunny Delight, liver coat, but rather pale & fluffy. Typical head, eyes & ears, reachy length of neck, nice depth of brisket, good legs, feet & clean pads. Rather loose movement, needs tightening up in muscle, too much coat spoil the presentation; 3 Grahams’ Ruffsfurze Kazan. OD (11) 1 Kiernan & Liu’s Ch Bisbee Ikatcher at Kierlander, what a name for an eyecatching dog, coming into his prime right now, fantastic blue coat, good for size, great head, sparkling eyes, good filbert ears carried correctly, superb bite & mouth, lovely length of neck set into good flat shoulders, correct topline & tuck-up with slab sides, good horseshoe front & depth of brisket, well angulated & muscled up all through, clean feet & pads, nicely boned legs giving lovely flowing movement, owned the ring, exemplary presentation & well handled throughout. CC & BOB; 2 Cumming’s Honeymist Blue Flame at Rocabec, handsome dog, correct size & fabulous coat of texture & colour, good head, clean mouth, dark eyes, correct ears, reachy neck & flat shoulders, flowing topline & flat sides, typical forehand & deep brisket, muscled up nicely for good drive on the move, clean feet & pads, really nice mover & very well turned out, excellent presentation & well handled. RCC; 3 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Blue Encounter. GC (1) 1 Caines’ Gnejnabay Just Ash at Burmington, well known in the agility world, typical agile, workmanlike bitch, good liver colour but rather sparse, in her prime in agility for 3 years, lovely hard condition all through, moved very well, she’s a character & a cutie. PB (5) 1 Davies’ Honeymist Posh Dreamz, just 10 months, typical puppy of this kennel, right for size, good head, eyes, ears & clean bite, reachy neck, flat shoulders, nice coat of good colour but a bit too soft just now. Good width of forehand, nicely boned legs with good feet & pads. Good topline, but needs to tighten up all through to enable better movement in future. Well presented, promising. BP; 2 Grahams’ Ruffsfurze Zemzem, just over 6 months, still a baby, lovely for size, good head, eyes & ears, clean mouth & bite, reachy neck, nice topline & good for muscle, legs & feet well boned, clean pads. Coat rather lank just now. Moved quite well, a prospect, presented nicely; 3 Beesley’s Lowbrook Little China Girl at Flintstor. JB (5) 1 Kinns’ Burmington Reet Petite, 13 months, decent liver coat, good head, dreamy amber eyes, good bite, reachy neck & good forehand, well boned legs & clean padded feet, nice topline & tuck-up, depth in brisket, lovely height to length ratio, nicely turned stifles & good muscle, moved quite well with good presentation; 2 McNallys’ Aireview Dancing Queen at Conekesheved, 13 months, up to size, lovely head, dark eyes, reachy neck into flat shoulders, nice topline & tuck-up, well muscled with good legs & feet & smooth pads, good turn of stifles, coat quite good with texture. Less angulation than 1. Nice size, good turnout & well presented, moved quite well; 3 Brooks’ Doehey Heart Of Darkness. LB (7) 1 Mayers’ Tcheria Flibbertigibbet, blue jacket of good texture & colour, neat feminine head, clean bite, dreamy dark eyes, filbert ears, reachy neck, firm shoulders, correct forehand, well boned legs & feet, smooth pads, nice arch over loin & good tuck-up, well turned stifles, sloping pasterns, muscletone throughout, kept topline when moving, nice mover, good presentation; 2 Laceys’ Bowlingbrook Trick Or Treat, slightly smaller than 1, lovely blue coat of texture & colour, nice head, bite, ears & eyes, reachy neck into flat shoulders, nice topline & tuck-up, good legs & feet with clean pads, moved nicely, presented well; 3 Butler’s Yarbach Gorgeous Gabby. OB (9) 1 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Misty Horizon, feminine blue in very good condition. Jacket could be better, to be picky.
