BEDLINGTON JUDGE SOUTHERN COUNTIES 11

BEDLINGTON TERRIER

Thank you for my nice entry of lovely dogs. It was a pleasure to judge them.

JUNIOR DOG 1 [1]

1. Ames Sharnor Faithful Falcon – 17 months old, a nice size and good in head, eye, ears on correctly, lovely strong quarters with decent turn of stifle, moving steadily.

POST GRADUATE DOG 1 [1]

1. Jones’s Pengerrig Unique – Thought this young dog was lovely, good colour, nice size, with good head and eye. Good length of neck into well sloped shoulder and correct topline. Nicely shaped and muscled quarters resulting in lovely movement.- well deserved RDCC

LIMIT DOG 4 14]

1. Hyde’s Gnejnabay Chokko Pops – Very nice liver dog of a good size, with true Bedlington movement. Liked the head, length of neck, shoulder placement, turn of stifle, topline, depth of chest and cut up, nice eye and good feet.

2. Alder’s Catchfraze Free N Eezzi – heavier built than 1 and did not move so true. But liked the colour head eye, ear carriage, top line and strong quarters.

3. Bounden & Walsh’s Lowbrook Lately of Tolpedn

OPEN DOG 4 [4]

1. Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Blue Encounter JW ShCm – Good, strong colour and a nice head, eye, bite, strong deep body with correct topline and quarters. He was very fit and well made and moved accordingly - DCC

2. Jones Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke ShCM – Just a bit heavier built than 1, but nicely proportioned without an exaggerated top line. Good breed points, head, eye, ears and feet.

3. Owen’s Bisbee Beachcomber JW

VETERAN D/B 4 [4]

1. Winstanley’s Razwell Blue Ash D – This 12 year old is very fit, retaining substance, and muscle. Last time I judged him he moved a little sluggishly, but on the grass with sun on his back he moved like a 2 year old. Very decent breed points too

2. Bannister’s Miteymidgets My Aquila B – Lovely, fit and moving true

3. Walsh’s Lowbrook London Pride at Amurospa B

PUPPY BITCH 2 [2]

1. Lacey’s Bowlingbrook Trick or Treat – Pretty, small and lightly built. On the table she hunched herself up, but moving the top line was OK. Liked the breed point of head ear, bite and general make, but would like more muscle. BP

2. Hewitts-Taylor’s Tobanie Earth Song – More substance than 1, but not the conformation. However she moved out well.

JUNIOR BITCH 4 [4]

1. Ames Sharnor Emerald Electra – Beautifully prepared coat, liked the head, eye, bite, front and top line. She moved with verve and very straight.

2. Evans Mordraig Saffina – Another put down in fine fettle and could she move. Liked the head and eye, teeth and ear carriage. Perhaps there should be a bit more of her.

3. Winstanleys Catchfraze What a Calamity.

POST GRADUATE BITCH 7 [7]

1. Fielding’s Reenies Silver Dreamer – This one seemed lightly built, but she literally came alive under ones hands. She is very fit and well made with surprising substance in a relatively small dog. Nicely coloured with a good coat.

2. Winstanleys Catchfraze Flirty Gertie –. A more substantial bitch than 1, very nice and well made with all the breed points. She moved out with style.

3. Mayers Tcheria Tiddlywink.

LIMIT BITCH 5 [4]

1. Walshaw’s Janmark Just in Time – In immaculate condition, coat and muscle tone, nice topline, head, shoulder, feet and moving out very well. RBCC

2. Lacey’s Bowlingbrook My Blue Heaven – Another well presented bitch in good fit condition. With nice head, shoulder and moving well. There was not much to choose between this and the first.

3. Hyde’s Gnejnabay Zena of Bugibba ShCM.

OPEN BITCH 5 [5]

1. Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook JW ShCM – They do not come more perfectly prepared in coat and condition that this bitch. She is a lovely size, is well made in all departments, with a lovely top line, feet with good sloping, strong pasterns. Good quarters with the straightest of hocks. She floated round the ring. She is no showing automaton either; the eye has a sparkle and depth that is beguiling. My BCC & BOB

2. Walshaw’s Janmark Misty Horizons JW – Very nice indeed, good colour and well made, though perhaps the stifle is a bit straight. The rest of the breed points were all there.

3. Hyde’s Ch Gnejnabay Madam Dominca.
