BEDLINGTON JUDGE SOUTH WALES 15

Bedlington terriers

I would like to thank the officers and committee of the South Wales Kennel Association for their kind invitation to judge and the exhibitors for their entries. I was very pleased with the principal winners and the overall standard was also high. I found no bad mouths or horny pads today.

JD (1)

1. S. Worrall's Bluesmurf Semper Fidelis. Correctly sized male, 14 months old. Nice length of head with large teeth, correct bite, dark eye. Moderately angulated throughout with good topline. Moved well. Just needs to mature. Well deserved RBD.

PGD (1)

1. S. Worral's Bluesmurf Semper Fidelis.

OD (2)

1. Brooks' Doehey Heartstrings. Dark blue, dense jacket of excellent texture. Light topknot over strong head, large teeth, punishing jaws. Good angulation, arch over loin, wonderful muscle tone, moved correctly when seen from all angles, BD, BOS.

2. Jones' Ch Pengerrig Unique ShCM. Another quality dog and a worthy champion. Well constructed. Particularly excelling in head and front and rear angulation. Lacked drive in movement today.

JB (4,1)

1. C. Worrall's Bluesmurf Utrinque Paratus. Litter sister to the winner of junior dog and of similar type. Nice head, correct size, moderately angulated, good length of loin, moved well, RBB.

2. Cleaver's Jobanker Prim'n Proper. 6 month old puppy, so can be forgiven for flattening her topline on the move. Nice pear shaped head . Good length of back. Hind assembly needs to strengthen, but moved OK, BP.

3. Brooks' Doehey Sancy Diamond.

PGB (3,1)

1. Jones' Tcheria Tydfil Of Pengerrig. Nice size. Dark jacket, with paler furnishings. Moved OK, but appeared unsettled in the challenge.

2. Yearley's Lowbrook Little Mo. Dark jacket. Wedge shaped head, with length of jaw, but topknot yet to fade. Good muscle tone. Preferred the rear angulation of the winner, but moved well and with drive.

OB (5,3)

1. Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal At Lowbrook JW ShCM. On handling this champion for the first time I can appreciate why she is still winning at the top level, quality throughout. Not a big bitch, moderately angulated, without exaggeration, good topline which she held on the move. Good muscle tone. Trimmed to perfection. Excellent movement coming and going. Very pleased to award her BB, BOB.

2. Beesley's Lowbrook Little China Girl At Flintstor. Nice bitch of very similar type to the winner. Slightly shorter in back and slightly less angulation throughout. Topline flattening a little on the move today.
