BEDLINGTON SOUTH WALES 10 Judge(s) MRS MARGARET INGLIS BD CH PENGERRIG IRON DUKE SHCM (MRS & DR H JONES OBE) BEDLINGTON TERRIER A nice select group of quality exhibits awaited my assessment. A good sized ring enabled me to see movement to the full. Generally, conformation was good, no problems with mouths or teeth. Most feet were ok, though some pads were rough and dry and could benefit from a little TLC with the handcream. My BOB choice went to Yearleys Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal At Lowbrook JW ShCM, Terrier GP4. RBOB, Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke ShCM. BP, Ames’ Sharnor Faithful Falcon. I understand the BP was amongst the eight pulled out for consideration in the Puppy Group. PD(2) 1 Ames’ Sharnor Faithful Falcon. 8 month old blue dog in super coat with excellent trim, bright eyes, clean mouth, good bite, flat sides with adequate depth of brisket and arch over loin, firm muscular hindquarters, neat hare feet, carried tail correctly keeping his outline when moving. BP. 2 Jones’ Pengerrig Unique. 11 months with good bone structure, well muscled, lovely dense dark coat, deep chest, good roach, hindquarters firm, nice outline when standing, these two could change places at any time, just preferred movement of first today. JD(1) 1 Bouse’s Tredomen Dixie. On his own, but quite an eyecatcher, blue with good head and an appealing expression, dark eyes, thin ears, long tapering neck on to firm shoulders, deep flat sides, good roach, muscular rear, good angulation, smooth flowing outline from head to tail which he kept both standing and moving, well balanced and typical of the breed standards. Res BD. OD(2, 1) 1 Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke ShCM. I first noticed the potential in this dog, which has since been proved when I gave him BP in 2006. A quality dog with good bone structure, long head, large clean teeth, good bite, firm shoulders, deep chest, firm muscular rear action and good tail carriage, very sound, nicely trimmed, walked with ease round the ring, a credit to his owner. BD and RBOB. PB(4) Super line-up of these up and coming youngsters. 1 Fraser &Butler’s Sharnor Emerald Ice Via Ycart. Caught my eye immediately she entered the ring, walking round with such confidence, lovely outline, pleasing head, bright eyes, thin ears, good reach of neck onto firm shoulders, beautiful coat, expertly groomed, neat hare feet, tail carriage perfect, just one lovely puppy. Shouls have a great future. 2 Ames’ Sharnor Emerald Electra. Litter sister to first and another lovely specimen, difficult to separate on merit, could change places any time, so much quality, lovely head, eyes, perfectly trimmed, flowing outline from head to tail, just preferred movement of first. 3 Caines’ Gnejnabay Just Asha At Burmington. JB(1) 1 Kinn’s Burmington Truly Blue. On her own but what a lovely little bitch, nice size with dark linty coat, well groomed, clear eyes, thin ears, good scissor bite, neat hare feet, good angulation, firm rear muscles, carried tail correctly, well handled and walked with ease. PGB(1) 1 O’Leary’s Cindercoat Solar Eclipse. Well balanced bitch in good coat and expertly trimmed, lovely expression, dark bright eyes, thin ears, correct front, smooth arch over loin, well muscled hindquarters, good angulation, smooth flowing profile head to tail which she kept when on the move. A credit to her owner. OB(2) 1 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal At Lowbrook. What more can I add to all the accolades that this young lady has already achieved, one cannot improve on perfection. Size, shape, texture of a beautifully trimmed liver coat, correct width of chest, good angulation, firm muscular hindquarters, perfect tail carriage all put together and carried with such feminine grace, every inch oozes quality and I think she knows it. BB and BOB. Terrier GP4. 2 Ames’ Sharnor Crystal Clear. Attractive blue in good coat and colour, perfectly groomed, long lean head, good mouth, small bright dark eyes, fine ears, good length of neck onto firm shoulders, flowing into well balanced body, shapely rear, well muscled, good tail carriage, all added to give a perfect flow of contour when moving, a lovely picture and handled well by her owner.
