BEDLINGTON JUDGE SKC AUGUST 16

Bedlington Terriers

I thank the SKC for this opportunity to judge again at their well run show. Ian Prentice was my excellent steward & I thank him for his valuable assistance.

I am pleased to report that feed & pads were free from cracks, mouths good with a scissor bite & heads long without stops. Some ears had thin cartilage.

P (1)

1 Butler’s Yarbach Christmas Cracker, promising 8 month old blue bitch puppy built on racy lines, feminine head, good pigment, needs to tighten in front as expected as this age, nice light steps, good tail carriage.

J (2)

1 Davies’ Honeymist Blue Bols, dog, sired by BOB;

2 Richardson’s Highdene Harmony, bitch, the dog flowed round the ring, the bitch needs more confidence.

PGD (2)

1 Richardson’s Highdene Hartley, preferred type of Hartley who possessed a very good head, lovely large teeth who was built on flowing lines. Good coat & colour. Good positive movement front & rear. RCC;

2 McNally’s Conekesheved Ironstone Boy, heavier throughout, not the movement of 1, good jacket, fine filbert-shaped ear.

LD (3)

1 Butler’s Yarbach Federers Final, good sized dog whose head was set on like a snake & sprung up well from the body, moved steadily;

2 Fletcher & Lawson’s Maevani One And Only, a well presented dog built on flowing lines, good head;

3 Offer’s Woolytop Theodore.

OD (4)

1 Cumming’s Ch Rocabec Definitely Maybe, male, flowed round the ring holding topline, good head. Well muscled, good front & drove from rear;

2 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, beautiful head & expression with sleepy expression. Thought him the class winner at first look;

3 Baldwin’s Woolytop The One And Only.

VD (1)

1 Baldwin’s Woolytop Iwan Super Wizard, handy sized dog in exceptional condition for his 12 years. Good mouth, moved well.

PGB (1)

1 McNally’s Conekesheved Kaldo Girl, feminine bitch presenting a good outline, flowed round the ring, nice pigment, well presented, good mouth & ear.

LB (5,1)

1 Morris’ Bluemazzu Ballerina, very sound bitch, strong liver, well presented, tail carriage good. Beautiful hazel eye;

2 Davies’ Honeymist Posh Sugar, from a similar mould, feminine head & eye;

3 C Kaldo Girl.

OB (4) 1 Richardson’s Highdene Hetti, a shade fine for me but quality throughout, very feminine head, good ears & tailset, & carriage, good shoulder. Moved soundly & steadily;

2 Davies’ Ch Honeymist Posh Dreamz, another worthy champion, moved well, good bone, well presented, nice length. Good eye. Just preferred 1 a little more;

3 Garbutt’s Aireview Xmas Star.

VB (1)

1 Garbutt’s Aireview Classic Print, leggier bitch built on nice lines, godhead, neck springs well up from shoulder, medium blue coat, good topline, nice eye.
