BEDLINGTON SKC AUGUST 11 Judge(s) MR E WALLER DCC BISBEE BEACHCOMBER JW (MRS D G OWEN) Bedlington Terriers P (6) 1 Garbutt’s Highdene Hitman at Aireview, promising dog, good outline, nice size & overall balance, nice head with well placed thin ears, correct clear eyes, strong jaw with large teeth, good reach of neck, good shoulders, nice topline with gentle arch over loin, sound quarters with strong hocks, moved & handled well, should hit the top spots with maturity. BP; 2 Richardson’s Highdene High Society, litter sister of 1. Not as mature but has better darker coat & texture. Nice feminine head well filled beneath the eyes, nice clean front with good ribcage & length of loin, moved well coming & going, with maturity should do well; 3 Richardson’s Highdene Howzthat. J (2) 1 Butler’s Yarbach Gorgeous Gabby, well presented with good furnishings, nice size, make & shape, nice deep ribs, sound quarters with good rear angulation, clean hare feet & thick pads, moved well once she got her stride; 2 Mcnally’s Airview Cristal Bell, well turned out. Shade heavier than 1 but has quality. Nice neat head & topknot, good shaped ears, nice ribs, strong pasterns, moved OK. PGD (1) A. LD (3) 1 Jones’ Pengrrig Unique, smart blue that has presence, liked his size, giving him good overall appearance, in very good condition, excels in head with strong jaw, clean horse shoe front, well muscled sound quarters, strong pasterns, deep ribs through to elbows, nice thick coat, moved & handled well, time is on his side & should make the upper house. RCC; 2 Cumming’s Rocabec Definitely Maybe, bigger dog all round but in proportion. Nice head with flat cheeks, good eye, nice shoulders & topline, good tuck-up, good length of loin, nice tailset, moved positively, handled well; 3 Tonner & Oxbury’s Sevray Whisper at Jukenblu. OD (5) 1 Owen’s Bisbee Beachcomber, I have admired from the ringside for some time now, I wasn’t disappointed when I went over him, nice size giving appearance he could move with great speed & fit for purpose, in good coat, masculine head without coarseness, strong jaw with large teeth, well defined nostrils, well set eye, thin ears, strong neck, good lay of shoulders, nice ribs, good brisket, has length of loin, sound quarters, strong pasterns, well let down hocks, well handled as always. CC & BOB; 2 Cumming’s Honeymist Blue Flame at Rocabec, one from the top drawer, judged him as a pup and did him well, has matured well & I still like him, will have better days, good head, skull deep & narrow with strong jaw, correct bite, clean strong teeth, lovely front, strong neck, well laid shoulders, sound in body & quarters, roach over loin with low set tail, good feet & pads, moved in harmony with owner; 3 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Blue Encounter. PGB (2) 1 Tenner’s & Oxbury’s Rubutsers Piper at Jukenblu, up to size but has many qualities. Good wedged shaped head, very good topline & length of back, good tuck-up with firm loin, sound quarters with nice low hocks, well arched feet, moved & handled well; 2 Archibald’s Mollora Con All Di Angelo, a bit fidgety on the table, needs more hands on. Very pretty bitch, nice size, strong head with good expression, linty coat, all the curves in the right places. Movement hard to access. LB (1) 1 Shorrock’s Doehey Queen Of Hearts, very mature for her age, alone but worthy winner, lots to like, should do well in the future, well turned out, pleasing head, good eye, well set thin ears, moderate tapering neck, sloping shoulders, good bone structure, nice spring to ribs reaching to the elbows, plenty of furnishings, kept topline on the move & handled well. RCC. OB (5) 1 Welsh’s Wudrusjuk Work Of Art, stood out in the line-up with her dark coat & light furnishings, best coat on the day, thick & linty, lovely feminine head with dark eyes, flat cheeks, lips without flaws giving good expression, large teeth, correct shaped thin ears, long tapering neck, good lay of shoulders, neat front & deep ribcage through to brisket, long sloping pasterns, neat feet, topline good with roach over loin, moderate rear angulations, moved with good rear drive in fast pace, did everything right on the day for her handler. CC, her second, I hope it’s not too long before she gets her third; 2 Walshaw’s Janmark Misty Horizons, nice bitch. Racier type than 1, considered for RCC, scores in head with good bite, neat front, excellent neat shoulders, well bodied, deep ribs & strong loin with good tuck-up, moved freely with handler; 3 Owen’s Bisbee Belle Inni.
