BEDLINGTON SKC AUGUST 10 Judge(s) MR J HOLDEN DCC HONEYMIST BLUE FLAME AT ROCABEC (MR & MRS P CUMMING) Bedlington Terrier Thanks to my efficient stewards we got through a comparatively healthy entry in good time. Some good quality specimens on show, but generally we appear to be drifting back to our old problems of poor coat texture and excessive height. Conversely, specimens that are the correct size are often lacking in substance making it very difficult to judge to a uniform type. PD (6) 1 Jones’ Pengerrig Unique. Blue dog that is sure to be a great prospect for the future. Good head with lengthy neck. Good depth of body with correct topline. Best coat texture and correct colour. Moved soundly. Best Puppy. 2 Cumming’s Rocabec Definitely Maybe. Another dog with a successful future ahead of him, perhaps a little more mature than 1. Good head, neck and shoulders. Good length of body. Low tail set. Moved soundly. 3 Ames’ Sharnor Emerald Electra. JD (6) 1 Davies’ Honeymist Midnight Star. Feminine bitch of correct size, so smaller than most. Mature for age with well angulated hindquarters and low tail set. Moved soundly. 2 Walshaw’s Janmark Misty Horizons, more rangy type than 1 with good head, neck and shoulders. Moved soundly. 3 Kinns’ Burmington Truly Blue. LD (3) 1 Owen’s Bisbee Beachcomber, good head, neck and shoulders, correct topline. Moved soundly. 2 Davies’ Honeymist Buglecall Rag, good head with lengthy neck, good depth of body and low tail set. Preferred front action of 1 today. 3 Tonner and OxburySevray Whisper at Jukenblu ShCM. OD (8) 1 Cumming’s Honeymist Blue Flame At Rocabec, perfect height to length ratio. Good head on an arched neck of good length with correct shoulders. Low tail set. Dog CC. 2 Garbutt’s Ch Aireview Reprint, shapely dog with very sound movement. Good depth of brisket. Excellent low tail set. Reserve Dog CC. 3 Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke ShCM. PGB (4) 1 Walshaw’s Janmark Misty Horizons 2 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Truffles, elegant liver with good topline, lengthy neck, narrow head and correct shoulders. OB (5) 1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, elegant blue of good colour. Excellent reach of neck with a good head and shoulders. Sound hindquarters and good topline. Narrow enough without being too fine. Moved well. Bitch CC & BOB. 2 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Sapphire, another elegant blue with good head and shoulders, excellent reach of neck, correct topline.
