BEDLINGTON RICHMOND 25 Judge: Miss Trudie Hewitt-Taylor BEDLINGTON JUDGE RICHMOND 25 Thank you to the Committee for putting Bedlington Terrier breed classes back on and for inviting me to Judge at their show. Their hospitality was excellent as was their welcoming. Thank you to all the exhibitors who entered under me, and for staying despite the unexpected long wait before we got in the ring. I observed a varied collection of type in the dogs presented. Some of the dogs had very close rear movement which unfortunately let the overall dog down despite have some other very good qualities. V (3) 1 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Going Global JW Shcm VW. This 11 year old feminine blue bitch is full of quality and represents the breed very well. Lovely head with alert expression, low set thin ears, correct clean scissor bite, very well sprung up from her shoulders. Correct horseshoe front. Good height-length ratio, lovely angulated rear quarters, moved soundly away and back, kept topline on the move. Lovely to see her be awarded Veteran Terrier Group 2. BB BV and BOB. 2 Harris’s Jobanker Vertuous Veronica. This 8 year old Liver bitch has a feminine face with good sized thin ears. Slightly heavier in bone than one, good scissor bite and strong jaw. Good length of body to height ratio, Low tail set. Moved away and back with drive, subtle topline on the move. Good liver coat with correct texture. 3 Pollard’s Jobanker Iron Icon. PD (1) 1 Jackson’s Rhicullen Blue Knight. This blue boy is just 6months old and this was his first show. His overall appearance is what you’d expect from a puppy, a little leggy. He was attentive, keen dark eye, thin velvety ears, good clean scissor bite, well sprung in the shoulder, quite a deep chest for his age, typical puppy coat, well-muscled first and second thigh. Moved as a puppy, but did move with drive. BPIB JD (1) 1 Poultney’s Ratzwell Bring Me Sunshine. 17 month old blue boy has lots to like, lovely strong head without stop, lovely dark eye, correct scissor bite with strong jaw. Deep chest with a lovely thick linty coat. Correct hare feet, well-muscled first and second thigh with good rear angulation, low set tail, good topline on the move and balanced on the move. RBD PGD (1) 1 Nind’s Devleigh True Blue. Blue dog of solid construction, overall well-muscled with a strong head, good length of neck, good strong scissor bite with clean teeth, deep chest with lovely linty textured coat. Correct hair feet. A little unsettled on the move. OD (2) 1 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets New Vision JW. Blue dog with substance and well-muscled. Fit for function and could do a days work. Nice textured coat. Strong head without stop. Dark eye, thin velvety ears, good scissor bite with strong jaw, good length of neck, lovely height length ratio and correct front, correct rear angulation and moved with drive. BD 2 Poultney’s Jobanker Rocky Road Another dog of substance. Lovely Liver coat of correct texture. Deep chest. Lovely hazel eyes, good scissor bite with a strong jaw, good length of neck leading to well sprung withers. Correct arch over loin and kept topline on the move. PB (1) 1 Long’s Dunkeswell Salt An Pepper. Just 7 months old blue bitch. Standing alone. Feminine face and head, good scissor bite, lovely dark eye and jacket, nice rear angulation. Unfortunately she was unsettled when she came to move. JB (1) 1 Collier’s Tunman Apple Be Lucky For Pocoblu. 13 month old feminine blue bitch, nice scissor bite, lovely thin ears, good length of neck, linty textured coat. Natural correct topline when stood and continued on the move. Lots to like in this young bitch. RBB PGB (2,1) 1 Long’s Dunkeswell Pepper Dash. Compact feminine bitch with substance, lovely dark expressive eyes, correct scissor bite with good length of muzzle and neck. Correct coat texture moved well and kept topline. OB (5,2) 1 Harris’s Ratzwell Jolly Jubilee JW. Blue bitch well-constructed and well-muscled. Feminine face with expressive dark eyes. Narrow skull without stop. Good scissor bite and strong jaw. Correct horseshoe front and good hare feet. Good height length ratio. Moved freely away and back keeping her topline. 2 Bishop’s Ch Chaselyne About Thyme. Another pretty feminine blue bitch well-constructed. Lovely dark eye, correct scissor bite. Lovely deep chest with correct topline. Well-muscled with good rear angulation. Kept topline on the move. Moved well. 3 Pollard’s Jobanker Cotton Candy. Special Beginners (3) 1 Poultney’s Ratzwell Bring Me Sunshine. 2 Jackson’s Rhicullen Blue Knight. 3 Dunkeswell‘s Salt an Pepper.
