BEDLINGTON JUDGE PAIGNTON 09

Bedlington Terriers

Just a couple of relevant points, please exhibitors when you place your dogs for appraisal do not over-stretch them. One it spoils the dog’s outline & two the height/length ratio is over-emphasised. Recently I read a critique by a terrier judge who has misconceived notions about Bedlington hind movement. A Bedlington should move with drive, not close behind.

PD (1) & JD (1) A.

YD (2,1)

1 Cummins’ Honeymist Blue Flame at Rocabec, nice blue, good head & eye, in excellent coat & well muscled. Played his owner up on the move initially but redeemed himself & moved well keeping his topline. RCC.

PGD (0).

LD (1) A.

OD (2)

1 Davies’ Honeymist Miles High, a worthy ch, good coat, well presented, long lean head with the correct eye, good mouth, well laid back shoulders & correct front, kept outline on the move & had good drive in rear movement. CC;

2 Moore & Bounden’s Tollpedn Firelight Prince, nice blue, ran 1 close, good lean head, correct eye & mouth. A little longer cast than 1 but moved wel1 & well presented.

PB (1)

1 Davies’ Honeymist Crazy Rhythm, nice blue, in good coat, presented well, nice long lean head, good eye & mouth, nice outline when standing & has all the relevant assets, moved well coming & going although still wanted to play as a puppy. Should be one to watch for BP.

JB (1) A.

YB (1)

1 Lacey’s Bowling Brook My Blue Heaven, nice blue, good head & eye, strong teeth, correct bite, good size & condition, moved well both ways. RCC.

LB (1)

1 Gillies’ Rhicullen Ghillies Lass, very fine bitch, good mouth. Flatter on the move & moved close behind.

OB (2)

1 Davies’ Honeymist Tease N’ Freeze, quality bitch, in good liver coat, has all the attributes desired in head, eye, body & mouth. Good front & rear, well muscled, moved well & kept her topline. Well presented. Should make the upper house easily. CC & BOB;

2 Gillies & Purdy’s Am Ch Rhicullen’s Amber Twilight of Kypo, nice bitch, good head. A little too lean for me & flattened on the move. Seemed a little lethargic & played her handler up.
