BEDLINGTON JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 17

Bedlington Terriers

Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge their show & to the exhibitors for their entries.

It was a pleasure to go over the exhibits & I found no bad teeth or pads.

My only criticism would be we still have high tails, & heavy thick ears. Both of these faults effect the overall appearance of the Bedlington & are a fault easily recognised from the ringside.

MPD (1)

1 Kinn’s Kinnuva Dark Sleekster, 7 months old & still developing, has good muscle & bone, good depth of rib, correct bite, fine ears, moved well.

PD (1)

1 McCourt’s Bisbee Super Trooper, good coat, fine head with correct teeth, nice with correct bite, almond shaped eyes of deep colour, kept his topline on the move.

PGD (1)

1 Button’s Jetsway Solo Star, pleasing head, long lean neck with good shoulders, good depth of rib. Ears flat to the cheek as they should be, correct bite, showed good hindquarters on the move.

LD (2) 1 Thompson’s Jetsway Bollinger, good outline, fine head with big white teeth, fine ears flat to the cheek, nice flat deep ribs, good coat, moved well but must watch his tail as it was just a little high;

2 Offers’ Woolytop Theodore, correct bite, dark eyes, good shoulders, good outline when standing & on the move.

OD (11)

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, narrow deep skull with ears fine & flat to the cheek, big strong white teeth with correct bite, lovely reach of neck leading to fine shoulders, front legs square set, good depth of rib, well proportioned body, a bit more coat than I like but all dog underneath, put down as always to perfection with not a hair out of place. CC;

2 Cummings’ Ch Rocabec Definitely Maybe, a dog of the correct size, nice fine head with correct teeth, small dark eyes, ears fine & flat to the cheek, good reach of neck leading to fine shoulders, lovely deep flat ribs, straight square set front legs & a strong muscular rearend, this all showed on the move with his light springy action. 1 & 2 could change places anytime. RCC;

3 Davies’ Honeymist Blue Bols.

MPB (6)

1 Pocklington’s Timberose Rhapysody In Blue, well balanced puppy, in good blue coat, fine head with good white teeth, fine front end, good shoulders, moved with drive;

2 Middlebrook’s Poppyblu Elara, pleasing outline, fine head with good teeth & ears, good reach of neck, moved well;

3 Whitehead’s Janmark Just Joking.

PB (4)

1 Bishop’s Plumeria’s Sea Breeze, this young bitch caught my eye as she entered the ring, correct size, fine head with good teeth & ears, fine shoulders leading to good depth of rib, slightly rounded as I like in a bitch, lovely coat, correct slightly arched back, so graceful on the move, perfect tail carriage, one to watch in the future? RCC;

2 T Rhapysody In Blue;

3 Hurley’s Fralax Culibre Lacinto.

PGB (4)

1 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Absolut Ice at Tangris, the best coat of the day, good blue jacket of good texture, fine ears flat to the cheek, correct bite, well muscled rearquarters, good depth of rib, moved with drive & correct tail carriage;

2 Mayer’s Tcheria She’s Tcheeky, liver bitch with good narrow head, correct bite, good long neck leading to good shoulders & deep ribcage, coat of good texture, moved well;

3 Kinn’s Kinnuva Siam Jewel.

LB (9)

1 Bishop’s Fralex Culibre Bolyn, fine head with small eyes & correct white teeth, good reach of neck, ribs well down to the elbow, well balanced outline, kept her topline on the move;

2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets This Is Me Looks, as if she can do a day’s work & more good coat of correct texture, lovely big white teeth with correct bite, good reach of neck, well muscled bitch this showed as she moved with drive keeping her topline;

3 Phillips’ Jetsway Fleur of Rathsrigg.

OB (10)

1 Davies’ Ch Honeymist Posh Dreamz, stood out in the line-up with her overall shape & size. Fine head, small bright eyes, correct shape, lovely fine ears flat to the cheek, correct teeth, long neck leading to good shoulders onto a good depth of rib down to the elbow, plenty of good bone & muscle, coat of good colour & texture, correct tail carriage, moved with a spring in her step holding her topline, presented & handled with perfection as usual from this kennel. CC & BOB;

2 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark JKay, well balanced with coat of good colour & texture, pleasing outline when standing, well off for bone & muscle, good head & neck, bright eyes, ears flat to the cheek, perfect teeth, moved well in both directions;

3 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Love In Bloom.
