Bedlington Terriers

My thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge one of my favourite breeds. I enjoyed my main winners but I thought the quality was not as good as in the last few years. Size seems to have started to be a problem again as I had a few who were up to size. I also found a few females who were not small in size but were too weedy. Coat quality has improved & I also had a few exhibits with the correct Bedlington front.

1 Walters & Mitchell’s Tunman Ta Dah, blue of excellent type, well balanced, up to size, excellent head, dark eye, fine leathers, good body & depth of chest. Moves & shows well. Good coat texture.

1 Thompson’s Jetsway Bollinger, loved this youngster, blue of correct size, well balanced, long lean head, strong jaws, dark eyes, excellent coat, correct front, good legs, excellent topline, flat ribs, & excellent hindquarters. Excellent temperament, correct tail carriage. Better presentation should take him to the top. RCC.

1 Butler’s Yarbach Federers Final, up to size blue, well balanced, excellent front, ribs & depth of chest. Correct topline, sound mover, good coat, shows well;

2 Murby & Heraty’s Tasseltabs Timber, excellent type, good size, good body & topline. Preferred shoulder placement of the winner. Excellent temperament.

1 Kiernan’s Ch Shanor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, outstanding blue of excellent type & size. Excellent head, well set ears, dark eyes, excellent reach of neck, well laid shoulders. Excellent legs & feet, depth of body & ribs, excellent coat texture. Correct movement coming and going, excellent temperament. CC & BOB;

2 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Chaser, another excellent dog. Excellent size, very good head & eyes, excellent front, topline & tail, excellent coat. A bit unsteady on the move but still deserved his place;

3 Brady’s Ch Tcheria Shenanigans.

1 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Seymour, liver of excellent size, good head, eyes & ears. Good topline & hindquarters. Needs to tighten up in front. Shows well;

2 Cleaver’s Jobanker Prim’N’Proper, blue of excellent size, very good head & eyes, good reach of neck. Loose roach on the move.

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Love In Bloom, blue of excellent type & size, excellent head, dark eyes, excellent topline & hindquarters. Excellent coat. Shoulder placement could be better, good depth of body;

2 F Culibre Seymour.

JB (3)

1 Ames’ Sharnor Instnt Infactuation, quality bitch of excellent type, well balanced. Good size, excellent head, neck & topline. Excellent hindquarters, coat & movement. In the challenge she lacked a bit of sparkle so I had to give way to the Open class winner. RCC;

2 Phillips’ Jetsway Fleur of Rathsrigg, well balanced blue, excellent head, dark eyes, good reach of neck, excellent topline. Excellent front, good coat. I’d prefer more substance;

3 Worrall’s Bluesmurf Utrinque Paratus.

1 Jones Tcheria Tydfil Of Pengerrig. Very typy blue, excellent size, well balanced, excellent head, good reach of neck, excellent front, topline and hindquarters. Excellent colour and texture of coat. Better presentation will see her go far;

2 Bannister’s Tcheria Tchaffinch with Miteymidgets, litter sister to the winner & very similar in most departments. Just preferred the head & front of the winner;

3 Yearley’s Lowbrook Little Mo.

1 Lawrie’s Miteymidgets Endless Love, blue of excellent type, balance & size. Good head, dark eyes, excellent body. Moves well coming & going. Excellent coat & temperament;

2 Lacey’s Bowlingbrook Trick Or Treat, another blue of excellent type, good size, very good head, excellent topline & depth of body. Correct tail carriage. Good coat. Preferred front of the winner;

3 Hurley’s L’End Show Melissa Blue Flower at Fralex.

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Going Global, quality blue of excellent type & size. Excellent head, fine leathers, excellent reach of neck, well laid shoulders, flat ribs, kept roach on the move, correct tail carriage. Excellent coat, sound mover, shows to advantage. CC;

2 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Jkay, another excellent blue. Excellent head, correct eye shape & colour, good neck, topline & tail. Excellent depth of body & hindquarters. Did not show to advantage;

3 Ames’ Sharnor High Hopes.
