Bedlington Terriers

A super entry both numerically & in quality. I thoroughly enjoyed judging this lovely breed. Thank you for the entry & the sporting way in which all took my placings.

PD (2)

1 Hewitt-Taylor’s Mollora Red Kite for Tobanie, raw 6 month old puppy with many attributes. Good make & shape with the correct non-exaggerated topline. Pleasing in head & expression with good strength of under jaw. Correct front assembly. Moved with typical gait. Needs more time;

2 Fitzgerald’s Trevelyan’s Unzip You Got The Look, up to size male. Correct in outline. Pleasing head with correct ear. Not quite the front of the first place dog which was evident on the move. Correct tailset but needs to carry a little lower on the move.

JD (2)

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets English Dream, blue dog of lovely make & shape. Pleasing narrow deep head & correct expression with good strong jaw. Clean long neck into correct shoulder placement. Lovely deep flat rib. Correct topline. Good hindquarters Moved well with correct gait. RBD. Should do very well with fair play;

2 Hewitt-Taylor’s Mollora Red Kite for Tobanie.

PGD (2)

1 McNally’s Conekesheved Ironstone Boy, this dog really impressed for overall quality. Super outline. Good head proportions with lovely small dark eye. Correct ear shape & carriage. Clean elegant neck into correct shoulder placement. Correct front & feet. Excellent hindquarters. A real muscular lithe dog. Maintained topline on the move which was typical. I wouldn’t want him any bigger however. A very nice dog indeed & another that should do well;

2 Worrall’s Bluesmurf Semper Fidelis, pleasing dark blue male. Good head. Correct shoulder. Good front & feet. Not quite the topline or hindquarters of the first placed dog.

OD (2,1)

1 Pedersen’s Sharnor High Intensity, quality blue dog of correct size. Very pleasing head. Good bone. Strong muscular dog with excellent hindquarters. To be hypercritical I would just like the rise in loin to be a fraction later & for him to be a little more positive in front action.

PB (2)

Not the easiest class to judge.

1 Moore & Chudleigh’s Devleigh Dare To Dream, correct size. Good head proportions & correct eye. Strong underjaw. OK for bone. Topline not her fortune with no real discernible rise. Moved OK;

2 Middlebrook’s Poppyblu Elara, a frustrating bitch to judge. On the table she is really quite nice to go over. Lovely dark colour with a Lovely head. Correct front assembly. In great condition throughout. Moved rather erratically but when settled shows a very typical Bedlington gait. Not helped by her handler today as she was often stacked to exaggerate her topline but when left alone is more correct. Very raw. Needs time.

JB (1)

1 Middlebrook’s Poppyblu Elara Class.

PGB (4,1)

1 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Absolut Ice at Tangris, pleasing dark blue bitch. Very feminine throughout yet without any loss of strength. Pleasing overall outline. Good head. Correct movement & tail carriage. Will do well;

2 Hall’s Fralex Culibre Amber, another nice bitch. Pleasing in head & expression. Preferred the hindquarter angulation of the first placed bitch;

3 Godden’s Vakurblue Bacon Buttie.

OB (7,1)

What a privilege to have such a wonderful class with some extremely lovely bitches to go over. I can easily see how my first four placings have all achieved their crowns.

1 McNally’s Ch Conekesheved Kaldo Girl, a real quality bitch who commands attention with her exquisite outline. Beautiful head & expression with lovely topknot. Elegant long neck into correct shoulder. Super deep flat rib. Non-exaggerated correct topline. Very good hindquarters. Good feet. Correct coat texture. Moved with gait maintaining her topline. Did not put a foot wrong to head this high quality class. Delighted to award her BOB & to later watch her shortlisted in what appeared a good terrier group. I shall watch her with interest over the coming year;

2 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal At Lowbrook, super quality liver bitch who defies her 8 years of age. Different type to 1. Correct size. Overall presents a very typical outline. Good deep chest & front. Correct shoulder, topline & hindquarters. Correct gait. Just not the enthusiasm & sparkle of 1 today which cost her a place. A privilege to go over;

3 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Jkay, quality bitch & a very worthy champion.
