BEDLINGTON MANCHESTER 14 Judge: Mr David Shields BEST OF BREED : 1065 WALSHAW Mr & Mrs M & J Ch Janmark Blue Encounter JW Sh.CM BEDLINGTON JUDGE MANCHESTER 14 Bedlington Terriers PD (1) 1 Kiernan & Liu’s Sharnor High I’m at Kierlander, promising youngster of good size & presents a very balanced outlook. Narrow skull with a good length of jaw. Bright expressive eyes, good front assembly with a good reach of neck set in well placed shoulders. Well developed quarters for his age, moved out soundly. BP. JD & PGD (0). OD (5) Very strong class. 1 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Blue Encounter, all male with the strength & substance required but shows no sign of coarseness. Good height to length ratio giving that rectangular appearance asked for. Clean head, good shape, pleasing eye & expression. Thin well set ears, good legs & feet, deep brisket, very clean over the neck & shoulders. Excellent body shape with correct arch over the loin, well set on tail. Strong hindquarters with well developed second thighs. Sound on the move with an excellent ground covering stride. BOB; 2 Owen’s Ch Bisbee Beechcomber, another quality exhibit that was a pleasure to go over. Well balanced throughout & built for the job in hand. Best of heads, good strength of jaw, dark eye with that rectangular appearance asked for in the standard. Long neck with a good layback of shoulder allowing for his excellent reach in front movement. Correct flat ribs, pleasing bend of stifle but showing no exaggeration. In good coat, typical action, very sound throughout. RBD; 3 Walshaw & Richardson’s Ch Janmark Jeremiah. PB (2) 1 Ames’ Sharnor High Hopes, real baby & litter sister to the puppy dog winner but not as forward as her sibling. Very typy throughout, loved her head & expression, well set ears, best of fronts with correct well padded hare feet. Good depth of brisket for her age, pleasing topline & tailset. Moved out well, very promising, just needs time; 2 Breeze’s Firey Sharrons Violet, different stamp & style to the winner but a pleasing sort of good size & with a good height to length ratio. Wedge shaped head, good strength, pleasing expression. Well set ears of fine texture, good legs & feet. Very well presented, moved soundly. JB (1) 1 F Sharrons Violet. PGB (3,1) 1 Pocklington’s Nebercrackers Rosie Blue, good strength & substance throughout but still has a very feminine outlook. Excellent make & shape, pleasing head with a good length of jaw, dark expressive eyes. Good depth of chest, well let down hocks, good coat, sound on the move; 2 Worrall’s Bluesmurf Glory Daze, pleasing size, very well muscled throughout. Typical head, good reach of neck, adequate depth of brisket, well rounded hindquarters, pleasing tailset & carriage. Just preferred the overall balance of the winner & not as positive in front movement. OB (7,3) Class of four quality bitches, a pleasure to judge. 1 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, lovely bitch, so typical & of excellent conformation throughout. Good size, beautifully balanced & built on flowing lines. Best of shapes with that correct rectangular appearance, feminine head, very clean but with good strength of jaw & lovely big teeth. Excellent reach of neck, good layback of shoulder. Well off for bone, good depth of chest, best of toplines with that natural arch over the loin asked for in the standard. Very sound moving with that typical light & springy stride. In the challenge just thought the dog was more up for it on the day; 2 Owen’s Bisbee Belle Inni, very sound honest bitch of good type with no exaggeration in anyway. Pleasing size & of excellent make & shape. Best of heads, lovely dark expressive eye. Correct front assembly, best of legs & feet, deep brisket, flat ribs which are carried well back.
