BEDLINGTON JUDGE LKA 14

Bedlington Terriers

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the exhibitors for a pleasing entry, the puppy classes in particular were full of quality & a pleasure to judge.

MPD (2)

1 Thompson’s Jetsway Bollinger, excellent dark blue dog with a quality head, & thin leathers, flat ribbed with a good depth of chest for age, correct horseshoe front & rear angulation. Moved with style & confidence. BP;

2 Cleaver’s Gercog De Brazhelon Terra Latgale, this dog has a lovely well developed head with good depth to skull & powerful jaw, his ears lack the quality of the winner. The coat was rather pale & of poor texture but may improve with age. Still a little loose in front movement but exercise & age should improve this.

PD (0).

JD (2) A.

PGD (6,3a)

1 Harris’ Ratswell D’artagan, a blue dog with a long lean head & good scissor bite, thin ears & a dark eye. Coat not at its best but moved well with a nice width to rear & a good tailset;

2 McCourt’s Burmington Hush A Bye, a liver dog in a well textured jacket, a little weaker in muzzle than 1 & would prefer bigger teeth. Moves OK but his tail lets him down;

3 McNally’s Makems Caught In The Act.

LD (4,3)

1 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Chaser, stood on his own but a worthy winner, dark blue dog with a good pear shaped head & quality ears. Nicely roached back with good tailset, moved with the classic mincing gait & drive from the rear.

OD (5,1)

1 Walters & Mitchell’s Ch Rathsrigg Millrace, a smart blue dog with plenty of substance, a quality head with good bite large teeth & length to muzzle, thin ears well set. Plenty of reach & strength to neck, a horseshoe front helped by the depth & width through chest. Overall a well balanced dog who moved like he owned the ring. CC;

2 Brady’s Ch Tcheira Shenanigans, another excellent blue dog with a good quality head, balanced throughout with depth to chest & a well placed roach, strong in the loin & well exercised with good second thigh, moved with drive & held roach throughout. RCC;

3 Brooks’ Doehey Heartstrings.

VD & GCD (0).

MPB (5)

1 Owen’s Bisbee A Touch Of Class, blue bitch with plenty of substance & balance, strong in loin & good width through body, she has a nice head with length to muzzle & good scissor bite, also a dark eye, large nostrils & correct earset. Liked the length to height ratio of this puppy & she moved positively round the ring. BPB;

2 Ames’ Sharnor Instnt Infatuation, another quality blue bitch from this strong class, in a good jacket with a fine quality head, smooth of cheek & deep through skull, correct bite & thin leathers, slightly lighter built to first but another with good movement that could easily swap places on another day;

3 Phillips’ Jetsway Fleur of Rathsrigg.

PB (7,1)

1 Garbutt’s Aireview Xmas Star, blue bitch in good coat almost a year old, she has a nice head with good length & correct scissor bite, her ears are fine & well set. Deep in chest with flat ribs allowing a nice tuck up & arch to loin which rolls over into a well set tail. Her movement was positive & balanced with plenty of drive;

2 Brown’s Kenquartz Milky Way, a dark blue bitch of different type, she presented in a good thick & firm coat. A good head on this one with large teeth & correct bite, plenty of depth to skull & fill to muzzle. Plenty of substance for size & a deep chest with width allowing for lung capacity if working to ground. Another nice mover appears a little wide in front at times but she lacks in leg furnishings & was of adequate width to chest upon handling. A muscular dog with a strong loin & thigh, well handled by her young owner;

3 Owen’s Bisbee Sugar Candy.

JB (6,1)

1 Moore & Chudleigh’s Tcheria Tcheerleader, blue bitch with substance through the body & pleasing length to height ratio, sound in front & rear with good angulation. The head is pear shaped with depth to skull & correct bite. She moves well both coming & going away holding topline & showing off her roach;

2 Jones’ Tcheria Tydfil of Pengerigg, another nice blue bitch in good coat, slightly finer built this one with a pleasing head, nice length to jaw, correct bite & thin ears. Less depth to chest than 1 but good angulation to front & rear with well sloped pasterns, was a little unsettled on the move at first but was fine once into her stride;

3 Bannister’s Tcheria Tchaffinch with Miteymidgets.

PGB (7,2)

1 Cleaver’s Tredoman Rose For My Rose of Jobanker, a blue bitch with good length to height, well muscled, with a balanced head of good length & strong jaw with large teeth, ears are thin & well placed, moves with poise & drive around the ring;

2 Kinns’ Burmington Reet Petite at Kinnuva, liver bitch, finer in head than 1, but with plenty of length & correct bite, a nice hazel eye & thin ears. She has a good horseshoe front & depth to chest. A little out of coat on the day but she moves well fore & aft;

3 Lawrie’s Miteymidgets Endless Love.

LB (12,4)

1 Graham’s Ruffsfurze Zemzem, blue bitch with lots of length to head, correct bite & large teeth. She has good length of body to height ratio & a well set tail. Her front is well placed with sloping pasterns & tight feet. She has good depth to chest, a nice tuck up & roach, she moves true both fore & aft with plenty of drive. RCC;

2 Hewitt-Taylor’s Tobanie Earth Song, a quality blue bitch in excellent dark blue jacket of good texture, well balanced for height & length with a well placed roach. She has a well built front & good angulation to rear. A nice head helps to complete the picture, her ears are thin & well placed, her eye is dark & the bite is correct, she lacks a little in fill to muzzle compared to 1, but she moves well & pushed hard for honours;

3 Walshaw’s Janmark Jkay.

OB (5,1)

1 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, a quality blue bitch with plenty of substance in a good jacket, she carries a well balanced head with scissor bite & large teeth, smooth cheeks & depth to skull, the ears are fine & well placed. Correct horseshoe front & tight feet, flat ribbed & deep through chest, strong over loin & well muscled with good tailset. She moves with ease around the ring & is sound both coming & going away with plenty of drive, a pleasure to judge. CC & BOB;

2 Yearley’s Ch Gengebay Gene Genie Gal at Lowbrook, liver bitch of high quality, lighter built & lacking a little in coat today. She is well proportioned & has a lovely head with the finest ears, a deep skull & a good bite. She has good front assembly & is deep in chest with a nice rollover from loin which shows off her tailset. She moves true both fore & aft;

3 McNally’s Aireview Cristal Blue.

VB (2)

1 Hewitt-Taylor’s Mollora Eastern Dawn for Tobanie, a nicely balanced blue bitch in good coat, the skull is quite dainty but well put together with scissor bite, dark eye & fine ears. Front construction is sound & she has a well placed roach & good tailset. Moved true around the ring holding her topline. BV;

2 Caines’ Burmington Must Be Magic, at 12 years old & still in good form this dark blue bitch has a lovely powerful head with a deep rounded skull, strong jaw & good bite. Plenty of substance, nice depth & width to chest, a well placed roach & correct tailset. Showing her age a little on the move.

GCB (3)

1 T Earth Song;

2 Caines’ Gnejnabay Just Asha at Burmington, a liver bitch in best of coats, dark with good texture, she has a long lean head with large teeth & a good bite, in good hard condition, well muscled through body with a strong loin & powerful thigh. She moved well & was unlucky to meet 1;

3 Pocklington’s Nebercrakers Rosie Blue.
