BEDLINGTON JUDGE DARLINGTON 10

Bedlington Terriers

Some of the dogs did not move well & this affected their placings. On the whole teeth were clean & I found no bad feet.

VD (2)

Both of these dogs were in excellent condition for their ages which made it a hard first decision of the day.

1 North’s Niddvale Spring Warrior, good dark coat & well muscled, good angulation & size. Unfortunately didn’t walk so well in BV challenge;

2 Bannister’s Ch Molltyke Taggles with Miteymidgets, well constructed with good head. Moved out well, but preferred the size & topline of 1.

MPD (1)

1 Ames’ Sharnor Faithful Falcon, at 7 months very much a puppy still with rather loose movement in front, but well balanced. Good shape & angulation, nice head & eye & well laid shoulders, well presented, good coat. BP.

PD (2)

Another hard decision as both good dogs.

1 Cumming’s Rocabec Definitely Maybe, 10 months blue puppy dog, impeccably presented with good head, correct eye colour & ear setting, well balanced with flat ribs & low set hocks, lovely outline. Was unsettled when moving in dog puppy challenge;

2 Jones’ Pengerrig Unique, well muscled 11 months blue dog with good coat, masculine head with dark eye & good length of neck. Pipped to first place on presentation.

JD (2)

1 Fisher & Morris’ Gnejnabay Solo Starboy at Gipcyan, liver dog with a good head, lovely brown nose & correct amber eye, nice size with correct topline & good muscletone;

2 Wright’s Mollora Solar Fire, this up to size 10 months blue boy is still very immature, but has a good head, bone & angulation. With maturity, if both handler & dog get more practice at ringcraft, this dog should do well.

PGD (0).

LD (5,1a)

1 Walters & Mitchell’s Rathsrigg Millrace, eyecatching blue dog of good size, well balanced youngster with correct length to height ratio, good construction & correct front, strong narrow head with dark eye & correct earset, also good clean teeth with scissor bite, good length of neck leading to sloping shoulders, well bodied & muscled, looked good on the move & kept his topline with correct tail carriage, well presented. CC.

2 Alders’ Catchfraze Free N Eezzi, good size dog with narrow skull & dark eye, nice angulation & muscletone. Kept topline on the move, but not so positive as 1;

3 Neville’s Abben Blue Buttons at Chancete.

OD (4,1)

1 Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke, correct sized, well balanced blue dog with nice angulation, good head with gentle expression, well bodied & muscled & moved with light springy gait & kept his topline at all times. RCC;

2 Honeymist Blue Flame at Rocabec, correct size blue dog, well constructed & good bone, nice head, dark eye & thin ears, well presented. Let down by movement on the day;

3 Ch Honeymist Miles High.

VB (1)

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Myaquilla, at 8 years this bitch is still in excellent condition with good dark coat, lovely shape & well muscled, good head with length of muzzle, dark eye & sweet expression, moved out well with typical gait & kept her topline. BV & G1.

MPB (1)

1 Butler’s Yarbach Georgeous Gabby, just 6 months & still a baby, but a nice size with correct angulation. Shapely head with sweet expression, nice front. Movement was erratic, but saw enough to see it was correct.

PB (6,1)

1 Ames’ Sharnor Emerald Electra, 11 months blue puppy bitch, well balanced with good angulation, good head, small dark eye with sweet expression, coat of good texture & colour, well presented, best mover in the class. BP;

2 Archibald’s Mollora Con All Di Angelo, well presented & constructed 10 months blue bitch, good head with clean teeth, small dark eye & thin ears, good length of neck leading to correct shoulders, kept topline on move;

3 Makem’s Lavender Lady.

JB (4,1)

1 Garbutt’s Aireview Classic Print, well presented & shapely feminine blue bitch, nice head with long muzzle, good teeth & dark eye, correct front, nicely balanced with well let down hocks, kept topline when moving, pushed hard for RB ticket;

2 Archibald’s Mollora Con All Di Angelo

3 Morris & McNally’s Gnejnabay Yvie Zeta.

PGB (1)

1 Oxbury’s Piper at Jukenblu, well angulated blue bitch, good coat colour & texture, nice head, small dark eye & correct earset, scissor bite, well bodied with low set hocks & correct tailset, kept topline on the move.

LB (3)

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Matilda, won this class on her movement, nice angulation, good head with dark eye & thin ears, good length of neck leading to well placed shoulders, low set hocks & good coat;

2 Ames’ Sharnor Crystal Clear, blue bitch with good length of head & dark eye, long neck leading to well placed shoulders, well presented;

3 Wharton-Smith’s Miteymidgets Shooting Star.

OB (5,1)

1 Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, balanced blue bitch with correct angulation, good front & well off for bone, long narrow skull, pleasing dark eye & ear placement, length of neck leading to correct shoulder placement, good depth of chest with flat ribs, in good coat & moved out very well & kept her topline. CC, BOB & G4;

2 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie at Lowbrook, smaller feminine liver bitch who has been having a fabulous show career, but was just not at her best here, flattening on the move. Flowing outline, good head with amber eye, large brown nose & correct ears, good depth of chest & flat ribs. RCC;

3 Davies’ Honeymist Crazy Rhythm. Breeder Mrs Y Bannister, these well handled dogs were of consistent type & size with good movement.
