BEDLINGTON CRUFTS 20 Bedlington Terrier BEST OF BREED ROCABEC RIDING SHOTGUN Dog Owner: MR & MRS P CUMMING It was an honour and a pleasure to judge Bedlingtons at such a prestigious show as Crufts. I would like to thank my two stewards who completed their tasks with great efficiency and the exhibitors for their attendance. I enjoyed my day and was delighted to see my Best of Breed went on to be selected fourth in the Group. VD (3, 1) 1 Walters & Mitchell’s Ch Rathsrigg Millrace. Sound dog in good dark coat, good head, dark eyes set well, good reach of neck down to fine shoulders, plenty of bone and muscle, powerful rear end that showed on the move. PD (4) 1 Boyde’s Agnellino Voodoo Child. Nice head with good eyes and ears good length of neck good coat of correct texture, stood out from the other puppy dogs moved with drive good tail set and did not flatten on the move. 2 Howell’s Dangerous De Ochopeniques (Imp Esp). Slightly smaller than first with very light coat but good texture, good head, eyes and ears, moved well. 3 Cooper Davies’ Plumeriaas Dolphin Striker. JD (3, 1) 1, CC & BOB, Cummings’ Rocabec Riding Shotgun. Walking into the ring this dog stood out from all the rest. Put down to perfection, lovely head, correct eyes, fine ears flat to the cheek, long neck down to fine shoulders. Deep chest with flat ribs, definite tuck up, plenty of bone and muscle giving him plenty of power when moving and keeping his topline, deserved his Group 4. 2 Smith & Print’s Tcheria Anton Tchekove. Always hard to come up against the best, but this young dog still can hold his head high. Good head with dark triangular eyes, good length of neck, well muscled that showed on the move. PGD (5) 1 Corcoran’s Devious Dave. A little heavier than I like, but all dog, ears flat to the cheek, plenty of bone and muscle, nice outline when standing, moved well. 2 Pollard & Barrowcliffe’s Jobanker Iron Icon. Nice dark coat, good head and teeth, not as good a chest as first, moved well. 3 Kinn’s Kinnuva Summer Pearl. LD (9, 1) 1 Hewitt-Taylor’s Mollora Red Kite For Tobanie. Correct size, good head with correct teeth, ears that are fine and flat to the cheek, good long neck, fine shoulders, good bone, nice low hocks, did not flatten on the move, good tail carriage. 2 McCourt’s Bisbee Super Trooper. Another one of good size, lovely dark coat with correct texture, nice head, ears flat to the face, good teeth, moved well. OD (9, 3) 1 & RCC, Martin’s Ch Martin’s Ch Honeymist Blue Bols. Strong dog with fine head, fine ears, flat to the cheek, long lean neck down to good shoulders, correct deep chest, well boned with well muscled hindquarters, good tuck up, good tail carriage, good movement, did not flatten. 2 Middlebrook’s Tcheria Tcharleston. Another good coat lovely fine head dark eyes good teeth not as deep in the chest as one lovely short hocks good tail set moved with drive. 3 Offer’s Ch Woolytop The Wherryman Sh Ch. GCD (5) 1 Offer’s Ch Woolytop The Wherryman Sh Ch. 2 McCourt’s Bisbee Supper Trooper. 3 Kinn’s Kinnuva Dark Sleekster. VB (8, 1) 1 & BV, Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove Sh Ch. Dark Jacket, probably the best of the day, good head with fine ears flat to the cheek, dark eyes and good length of neck down to good shoulders. Straight forequarters, good bone with muscles to die for that showed on the move. A 12 year old that looked and moved like a 2 year old. 2 Hewitt-Taylor’s Tobanie Earth Song. Another with a good jacket of good quality. Shorter coupled than first, good tuck-up, nice length of neck, moved with drive. 3 Godden’s Vakerblue Bacon Buttie. PB (3) 1 & BP, Bishop’s Chaselyne About Tyme. Bitch of good proportions, lovely feminine head, fine ears flat to the cheek, correct eyes and teeth. Long neck down to deep chest, looked like her coat is just coming in but still thick and linty, good bone, correct tail carriage, low hocks, moved well. 2 Boyd’s Agnellino Davincis Dream. Good sized bitch, fine head, correct bite, good eyes, long neck, well boned. Not quite as settled as first, moved with just that little hesitation. 3 Guest’s Travellerways Cordelia. JB (5, 2) 1 Jones’ Miteymidgets Little Hottie. Beautiful feminine head with fine ears and dark eyes. Good neck down to fine shoulders, Correct front, good hindquarters, coat in good condition, moved well and did not lose her topline. 2 Jones’ Pengerrig Pure Heart. Another with good dark coat of good texture fine long neck correct eyes, fine wedged shaped head, covered the ground well. 3 Moore & Chudleigh’s Devleigh Wild Child. PGB (7) 1 Miteymidgets Tiewie. Blue bitch with long lean neck, fine good head, fine ears flat to the cheek, straight forelegs, well muscled rear legs with short hocks, superb rear movement. 2 Martin’s Grace iz Moskovskoy Bemty. A little taller than first but still holding her own, good quality coat, fine head and ears, good muscle, good tuck-up, moved well. 3 Pedersen’s Trurich Summer Dream. LB (14, 3) 1 Lacey’s Lowlingbrook Makingwhoopi. Good shaped head, correct eyes, long neck leading down to fine shoulders, good quality coat, good bone structure, strong rear quarters, correct tail set, moved with drive. 2 Walters & Mitchell’s Bisbee Blue Brocade. Fine head with ears flat to the cheek, good shoulders leading down to deep flat ribs, good bone and muscle, good rear quarters that showed on the move. Just preferred movement of first on the day. 3 Phillips’ Rathsrigg Willow. OB (14, 6) 1 & CC, Cummings’ Ch Rocabec Gossip Girl. Put down to perfection, lovely fine head, dark eyes, good teeth, ears flat to the cheek. Long lean neck leading down to fine sloping shoulders. Correct front, good length of back, good hard hindquarters, moved with drive and kept topline. 2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Love In Bloom JW. Shorter coupled than first but very pleasing to look at. Good head, with good strong teeth, and nice dark eyes. Good length of neck down to fine shoulders, moved with power and drive. 3 Martin’s Honeymist Posh Sugar. GCB (7) 1 & RBCC, Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Going Global JW. 2 Jones’ Miteymidgets Little Hottie. 3 Martin’s Grace Iz Moskovskoy Bemty. Judge Craig Richardson
