BEDLINGTON CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 15 Judge: Mrs J Miller BEST OF BREED : 4466 PEDERSEN Mr R Sharnor High Intensity BEDLINGTON JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 15 Bedlington Terriers VD (2) 1 Baldwin’s Woolytop Iwan Super Wizard, for me I preferred the overall outline, balance & shape of this well built & toned blue thick & linty coated 11½ years dog in fantastic condition for his age. Lovely narrow rounded skull & head of correct proportions, small dark bright clear eyes, great correct bite & clean teeth for age. Clean long neck rising up from shoulders with good backline & arch over loin. Flat ribbed deep body, nice underline. Straight forelegs well coated, muscular hindquarters, good length of legs, long feet, thick well padded & crack free. Moved out with a good pace & breed action. BVD, BV; 2 Neville’s Abben Blue Buttons at Chancete, slightly bigger build to this very nicely coated & well presented 7 year old. Correct head shape, nice top knot, dark small eyes, correct earset. Nice rise & topline to well set on tail. Rib flat & deep to good tuck, firm straight forelegs, toned rear & well angled stifle, clean feet good shape. Well presented liver jacket. Moved with springy gait & soundly. PD (1,1a). JD (2) 1 Butler’s Yarbach Federers Final, loved the outline & overall balance of this youngster, well constructed, narrow & balanced head, nice top knot, small bright dark eyes, neat hung ears. Good length of neck fitted well into shoulders with nice backline, rise over loin with fall to nice tail set on & carried, super blue linty coat over flat ribs carried back, nice deep chest, brisket with good underline & tuck. Strong rearquarters with good return of stifle. Straight well boned forelegs well positioned, all feet crack free. Stylish free mover & sound holding his topline well on the stance & move; 2 Offer’s Woolytop Theodore, has a nice outline but is taller & not so overall balanced. Masculine head, narrow with little more length to his foreface, good top knot, dark small bright eyes, well set ears. Strong long neck into correct backline, nice set of tail. Well presented slightly soft blue coat on well ribbed body of depth. Good front legs well boned, would have liked more return of stifle & shorter hocks. Hare long feet crack free. Stylish mover & sound both ways, just flattening out his topline. PGD (2) 1 Baldwin’s Woolytop The One And Only, having seen this dog grow & mature was nice to be able to re-judge him. He has grown into a nice male, lovely size & shape, beautiful narrow head with lovely topknot, expressive small black eyes, neat hung ears well presented. Long strong neck from strong shoulders with natural rise to his back over loin, correct tail position & carriage. Lovely light blue thick linty coat so well presented all over. Best depth of chest, brisket to elbows on straight boned legs, nice underline, loin tuck-up. Muscular hindquarters with well bent stifle, neat hocks & hare feet all crack free. Super jaunty mover with excellent side stride & sound both coming & going. Very close decision. RBD; 2 Harris’ Ratzwell D’artagan, presents a nice outline on the stance. Would have liked more length of head, nice dark small eyes, good top knot. Enough length of neck with a little throat, good shoulder & rise into a good shaped topline & fall to tail set on well. Flat ribs well back needing more depth of chest & brisket & some body substance, body covered in well presented coat of nice texture. Would have liked more foreleg bone, tight hare feet front & back, crack free. Enough return of stifle, good hocks, moved out with nice stride, a little narrow & close behind, nice front action, inclined to flatten a little on move. OD (2) 1 Pedersen’s Sharnor High Intensity, I understand that this dog has not been campaigned a lot but has a good relationship to one of the breed’s top winners, for me he stood out today for breed type & has a lovely balance of outline which he holds both on stance & move. Super head construction, nice white top knot, small dark bright eyes, low set filbert ears well hung, carries head well on long neck from strong shoulders, backline rises over loin to well set & carried tail. Correct front angulation, lovely depth of chest & brisket with depth to elbows on straight well boned & balanced legs. Body substance with flat ribs well back, nice underline & tuck to loin. Super thick & linthy dark blue well presented coat, muscular hindquarters, well bent stifles, neat hocks & four clean hare feet. Good forward action & very sound rear drive with good side stride. BD, BOB; 2 Murby & Heraty’s Tasseltabs Timber, much taller & lighter build & not quite as breed balanced as my winner. Masculine narrow head, lovely eye shape, good skull & top knot, head carried well on moderate length of neck from good shoulders & nice arched backline down to tail. Lacking the depth of chest & brisket & the strength of foreleg bone with elbows below bodyline but with nice tuck-up of loin. Body with flat ribs well back, & presented in a good conditioned coat of nice linty texture. Strong hindquarters, good bend of stifle, long hocks hare feet, crack free. Sound mover with good stride but not the reach or jauntiness of 1. GCD (1) 1 W Theodore. VB (2) 1 Hewitt-Taylor’s Mollora Eastern Dawn for Tobanie, very smart dark blue with excellent texture & presentation for her 9½ years. Feminine narrow head, good balance topknot, eyes still dark, ears well hung. Neck strong & tapering clean throat. Better of the two in arch of backline, nice set of tail. Correct angles front & rear, nice bone forelegs elbows at brisket, deep through from chest with nice underline & tuck at loin. Strong stifle & neat hocks, feet strong hare with clean pads. Moved out with style & sound both ends; 2 Hurley’s Ch Fralex Culibre Saphire, in good tone & condition for her 10 years. Feminine head, good skull with white top knot, foreface could be stronger, eyes still bright, strong teeth, nice neck length, well fitting shoulders, too much rise & fall to topline, muscular hindquarters, good tuck to loin, nice tailset. Beautifully presented linty coat covering a body with flat ribs well back, good depth of chest not that of 1. Depth to brisket, elbows in on well boned forelegs, enough return of stifle & neat hocks. Feet long hare, well padded no cracks. Sound positive mover with nice stride & ground coverage. PB (3) 1 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Seymour, really liked the outline & overall height, balance of this gorgeous 6 months pretty sandy coloured baby with a stunning coat, so well presented with great linty feel & in lovely condition. Pretty balance to well constructed narrow skull & foreface, white top knot, dark almond shaped bright eyes, well set & hung ears. Strong long neck well up from shoulders, nice rise to backline over her loin, low set tail carried well. Deep chest, brisket, nice underline & tuck, correct angles front & rear, nice boned straight forelegs, long hare feet, strong pads no cracks. Moderate return of stifle well muscled, hocks well let down, moved out free & jaunty, inclined to high step at front but this will settle with maturity. Good drive from the rear & sound. BPB, BP; 2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Going Global, taller & much longer this 9 months pup than my winner but presents a nice outline on the stance. Pretty well worked head, correct shape with almond shaped dark bright eyes, neat leathers hung well. Good length of muscular neck into strong shoulder, rise to topline over loin with low set tail. Enough body with flat ribs. Coat coming through, well presented, nice blue of linty feel. At present lacking depth of chest & brisket, straight forelegs not the bone of 1. Well developed moderate stifle, well let down hocks, long clean hare feet, little unsettled on the move once into a stride showed good, sound action; 3 Bishop’s Fralex Culibre Bolyn. JB (3,1) 1 M Going Global, I preferred the overall shape & balance of this youngster to that of my 2nd. Well constructed head, nice topknot, dark eye & well set & hung ears. Strong long tapering neck well up from strong shoulders, nice rise to backline over loin over a body with enough substance, flat ribs, light blue well presented & conditioned coat of correct texture. Good front depth, straight front, enough bone, long clean feet. Moderate return of stifle, best mover, needs to settle but sound both ends with good drive; 2 Yearley’s Lowbrook Little Mo, looked nice on the stance, slightly smaller than my winner. Pretty head, long & narrow with white topknot, dark almond eyes, low set ears. Neck little short, well sprung up, good arch over the loin with a good underline & tuck to loin. Chest deep, not the depth of brisket, elbows slightly below on straight well boned long forelegs, long hare feet free from cracks, flat ribs well back, strong hindquarters, well bent stifle. Very attractive dark blue linty coat well presented. Not the ground coverage of 1 but sound both ends. PGB (2) 1 Baldwin’s Honeymist Take The Lead at Woolytop, has really improved since I last judged her, maturity has balanced her with a very smart outline with gentle arch over her loin & so well presented in a super sandy linty coat. Pretty narrow unbroken head, lovely topknot, bight expressive eyes, low set ears. Head carried well on long muscular clean neck, correct angled forequarters, deep chest, brisket with nice underline & tuck-up. Body with flat ribs & well muscled as hindquarters with moderate stifle & let down hocks. Nice legs & hare feet, super sound mover with good side stride & light jaunty action; 2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets All My Love, 9 months & sister to second in puppy bitch, she is slightly more mature & has a little more substance but at present she is a little unbalanced in her overall outline. Good breed type head, bright deep dark eyes, low set ears. Strong long neck into arched backline over her loin. Good depth & underline, blue nice textured coat coming in well, nice topknot. Good bone to long legs enough return of stifle, clean crack free long hare feet. Once settled moved out well. OB (9,4) 1 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, have followed this super bitch through her career & so pleased to see her here today although this class gave for some thought as my 2nd is also another bitch who I have judged & followed her successes with interest. This 7 years liver bitch in super coat with excellent presentation & linty texture looked stunning, super feminine narrow well filled in head, dark expressive eyes, well hung & set ears. Head with correct carriage on a long muscular neck set into well laid shoulder, nice arch of back over her loin, deep chest, brisket & underline & tuck to loin. Body well ribbed back & flat. Correct angulation to fore & hindquarters, legs well boned with long hare feet. Lovely light free mover, very sound with good side stride. BB, BOS. Just lacked in the same ground coverage as the dog in the challenge; 2 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Look Of Love, another stunning bitch who have been lucky enough to judge before. Super feminine outline & overall breed build to this 3½ year old presented in super conditioned, linty textured coat with lovely leg furnishings & white top knot. Deep set dark almond eyes, well set ears, strong long neck & nice arch to backline & well set & carried tail. Body of depth, flat ribs well back, straight forelegs, well boned muscular hindquarters with turned moderate stifle, let down hocks. Clean crack free long hare feet, lovely free mover with ground coverage & sound both ends. RBB; 3 Hurley’s L’end Show Melissa Blu Flower at Fralex. GCB (1) 1 Hewitt-Ttaylor’s Tobanie Earth Song, nice size & shape to this 5 year old presented in a dark blue linty jacket, well presented & in good condition. Feminine head, would like a little more strength & length, dark expressive almond eyes, set low & well hung ears. Good neck & correct backline, nice front & moderate stifle. Body with flat ribs with enough depth & tuck to loin. Straight well boned legs & clean feet, hocks well let down. Moved well at front, just close behind but had a good stride. JENNY MILLER |
