BEDLINGTON JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 11

Bedlington Terriers

I felt the quality of the bitches were slightly stronger than the dogs & in open bitch we had two of the best examples of the breed for the past few years. To choose between them was invidious & yet only one could win first place.

PG (3)

1 Fielding’s Reenles Silver Dreamer, blue bitch, well balanced with correct length of body, feminine head with fine ears, small dark eye & well filled in beneath the eye, correct topline held on the move, well developed muscle produced good movement both coming & going;

2 Fielding’s Seo Firon Here It Comes, blue bitch, slightly shorter length of body than 1 but still balanced & attractive, correct topline & gentle curves in the right places held on the move, sound movement both front & back, good head with a mild expression, deep brisket & correct angulation.

OD (5)

1 Ames’ Sharnor Faithful Falcon, striking looking exhibit but there is much more to him than good looks, beneath his blue coat is a sturdy dog, strong male head, well rounded with small dark eye, excellent teeth & strong foreface, deep flat ribs, correct angulation produced sound movement both coming & going, full of breed type. BD;

2 Hydes’ Gnejnabay Chokko Pops, richly pigmented liver with excellent linty coat, correct overall proportions if slightly larger than 1 but well within the Standard. Good strong head, excellent dentition & correct sized nostrils, deep in brisket & hard muscle that resulted in good movement that did not disturb a good topline. RBD;

3 Bounden & Walsh’s Lowbrook Lately of Tolpedn.

OB (6)

1 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, racy liver with a good linty coat, I would have liked a little more pigment. Excellent proportions & balance, pretty feminine head but well constructed with good muscle, no hint of exaggeration with a gently curved topline, depth of brisket & angulation spot on, moved effortlessly around the ring & possessed that little bit extra that has made her a star. BB, BOB & shortlisted in the group;

2 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, excellent exhibit & it is no surprise that the first 2 in this class have often changed places when CCs are on offer, she possessed the best coat of the day with a dark blue jacket matched with a white topknot & leg furnishings, well proportioned & in hard condition, sweet feminine head, deep chest & good tuck-up, in total harmony with a correct topline held as she demonstrated her excellent movement both front & back. Was unfortunate to meet 1 who was on top of her game & put on such a fine performance in the ring, could easily change places on another day. RBB;

3 Ames’ Sharnor Emerald Electra.
