BEDLINGTON JUDGE BOSTON 22

Thank you to Boston DCS for inviting me to judge this lovely breed and to Heidi and Natasha for keeping things running smoothly! All mouths were good, no thick ears, and feet were good, so I won’t mention all this in the critique. PD (2, 1) 1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets New Vision. 10 mths blue, coat very dark at the moment, has a strong head with good strong jaw, dark eye, nice proportions throughout, balanced, moved very well keeping topline, well off for bone and muscle, just needs furnishings to complete the picture, nice puppy!

JD (1)

1 Godden’s Ozbreeze Surprise Of The Day With Vakurblue. Almost 18 months, of a finer type, nice outline, fair head, dark eye, would just prefer a tad more length to neck, good rise over the loin, well muscled rear end and deep tail set, afraid his front is not his fortune, which affected his movement badly.

OD (7, 3)

1 Butler’s Ch Yarbach Federers Final. Unbelievably 7 yrs old! In good hard fit condition, powerful head, dark triangular eye, big clean teeth, good length to neck, straight front, flat ribs, great depth to chest, well angulated fore and aft, good linty coat which I thought could have been trimmed a little more on his topline, it just gave an exaggerated appearance. Best Dog.

2 Scott’s L’end Show Melody Maker. Lots to like, had better length than first, but not as deep in chest, and moved a tad close behind. Presentation was first class, nice dog. Res BD.

3 Baldwin’s Woolytop The Pipers Son. May I mention that I liked this one very much, just not enough of him for me.

PB (5, 2)

1 McNally’s Coneksheved Too Shy. Only 6 months but showed like a veteran! Lovely balanced puppy, feminine yet strong enough throughout. A lovely pear shaped head of good proportions, dark eye and big teeth, enough neck, straight front, flat shoulders, good rise over loin with a good tuck up, moved with a lovely action and held her topline well. A lovely linty blue coat with good furnishings, was presented well. One to watch. Best Puppy and Res BB, delighted to see her shortlisted in the Puppy Group!

2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets New Variant. 10 mths blue, nicely balanced and good proportions throughout, nice head, dark eye, carried herself well with a good lithe action, colour a bit dark at the moment, and like her brother, just needs time to mature on.

3 Martin Impey’s Silverskin Whittlesbach Gem.

JB (3, 1)

1 Porter Manning & Porter’s Woolytop Secret Wispa Among Wallaroo. 17 mths blue, nicely presented, fair head and neck, well laid shoulder, deep enough in chest, well angulated rear, moved well although she flattened in topline slightly, heavier throughout than second, her litter sister.

2 Offer’s Woolytop What’s it All About. As above, litter sister to first, lighter throughout, finer boned, good textured liver coat, eye colour as desired to coat, moved and showed well enough, but felt her topline a little too exaggerated on the stack.

PGB (4, 2)

1 Kinn’s Kinnuva Hawaiian Velvet. 3 yrs, liver of nice colour, well balanced lady, strong enough yet feminine head with desired colour and shaped eye, nice big teeth, fair length to neck into a good straight front, deep chest, good rise and tuck up. A nice type who moved and showed well, in lovely coat and condition.

2 Jones’ Toolbox Yes Why Not At Squidlannes. Almost 18 mths blue, lots to like, not as finished as the winner, has a good front assembly, not quite the rear end of first, just needs to mature, gave a lot away in age difference, and sadly was very unsettled today.

OB (5, 1)

A very strong class, its dogs on the day.

1 Scott’s Ch Janmark Just Do It. Wow! An outstanding 22 months blue. A very well balanced girl, presented to perfection, strong but feminine head, darkest of triangular eyes, lovely big clean teeth, the best of forehands, with lovely depth to chest, well muscled and angulated throughout with good rise and tuck up, deep tailset and carries it well. Topline kept on the move which was a lithe and springy action. Well deserved Best Bitch and Best of Breed.

2 Jones’ Miteymidgets Little Hottie At Squidlyannes. Another with lots to like, very feminine blue, well balanced, carried herself well holding topline on the move, just a little unsettled when standing, presented well with a nice jacket.

3 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Tiewie.
