BEDLINGTON JUDGE BORDER UNION 18

Lovely part of the country with some fantastic scenery on the long drive up and back, another lovely organised show, very welcoming with good hospitality. The great ring lay out provides lovely sized rings, not a big entry but plenty of quality in the exhibits I had to judge.

OD (2)

1 Davies' Ch. Honeymist Blue Bols. Loved the size and graceful outline of this 3 year old. For me he had the best of heads long and narrow with good depth, a lovely rounded skull topped by a full white silky topknot, small dark eyes with mild expression, well filled in under his eyes, correct filbert ears nicely tagged of silky white. Strong jaw, big nose. Proud head carriage on his muscular clean long neck, excellent front angulation with good depth of chest with some width. A good flat sloping shoulders rising into his slightly curved backline with arching over his loin, to well set and carried tail. Good depth to brisket and underline to tuck-up of the loin, body dark skin pigment, flat ribs well back covered in a pretty light blue linty jacket with such beautiful overall presentation. Straight forelegs and clean thick pads on long hared feet. Long muscular hindquarters with a moderate return to his stifle. Very stylish mover with light springy action and so very sound. Held his topline well on the move. Best Dog and BOB.

2 Tyumentsevas' Int/Multi Ch. Bowlingbrook Great Gatsby. Much taller and not so well proportioned. Masculine head with a long narrow head not so rounded in skull but with well presented silky top-knot, not the depth of my winner. Strong jaw line. Dark, expressive small eyes, well hung and nicely tipped ears. Proud head carriage on long neck to shoulder into curved backline and a slight arching over his loin, muscular hindquarters, would have preferred more return to his stifle, good let down hocks. Good depth of chest and brisket with flat ribs well back into loin, good underline and tuck to loin. Very well pigmented and presented in a darker blue linty coat and nicely presented. Straight forelegs long haired feet with thick clean pads. Moved out well inclined to flatten his topline as he moved, tail carriage little high. Moved close at front and behind but has a good action. Res best dog

PGB (2)

1 Pocklingtons' Timberose Rhapysody In Blue ShCM. Very feminine outline with a graceful outline of good proportions. Beautifull presentation with good thickness to her linty textured stunning light blue coat with super skin pigment. Sweet long narrow head with good depth, rounded skull with silky white full top knot, dark small sweet eye with good fill in under, well hung filbert shaped ears with nice white tips. Strong under jaw, open nostrils to big nose. Moderate strong arched neck into flat sloping shoulders, nice curve to backline over her loin and well set and carried tail. Body with depth to chest and brisket, nice underline and tuck up. Straight well boned forelegs, muscular hindquarter, enough return to stifle and short let down hocks hocks, hared feet thick clean pads very sound mover with springy action, little close behind and does flatten her topline a little as she strides out. Res BB.

2 Fletchers' Janmark Justfor'j Maevani, just 14 months old this very gracefully built youngster presented in a linty dark blue coat with dark pigment but just lacking the thickness and finish. With pretty narrow head, rounded skull with full silky top knot, dark small eyes, well hung ears, not the depth to head or filled in under her eyes. Needing more strength to underjaw. Very slight build throughout but she should have time on her side as she matures. Correct length on neck clean throat, flat shoulders nice curve to her backline with enough arch to loin. Needing more depth of chest and brisket, little narrow at front. Has good straight forelegs of length needing more bone, hare feet. Hindquarters of good length more return to stifle well let down hocks. Moved out well little close both ends, inclined to flatten top line on the move.

OB (4)

1 Davies' Ch Honeymist Posh Dreamz, very impressive and so feminine with a correctly proportioned outline. Beautiful carriage to her long narrow head with good depth, lovely white full top knot, sparkling small dark eyes filled in under, well hung ears with white tips. Strong under jaw good bite. Clean neck of length into flat sloping shoulders, nice curved backline with slight arching over her loin. Flat ribs well back to loin, a body with depth to chest and brisket with nice underline and tuck to loin. Super presentation to her blue jacket with a lovely linty texture, nice dark pigment. Correctly boned straight forelegs and presentation, tight hared feet, thick clean pads. Muscular hindquarters and developed stifles, let down hocks very impressive mover with a light sound action covering the ground well with free forward and rear action holding her backline with nice tail carriage. Best Bitch.

2 Walshaws' Ch. Janmark Jkay JW ShCM Lovely outline to this well constructed and proportionate 4.5 year old bitch. Pretty headed with correct length and narrow with good depth, rounded skull with white full topknot, dark expressive small eyes well filled in under, neat hung ears with nice tips. Good underjaw and bite. Proud head carriage to her clean throat, neck of good length into flat sloping shoulders with good depth and width to chest, straight well boned forelegs and hared feet clean thick pads. Body with depth to her brisket and flat ribs well back to her loin, under a slightly curved topline over her loin. Dark blue linty jacket today lacking thickness and the presentation I have seen before. Muscular long hindquarters and a moderate stifle and strong well let down hocks. Moved out well with nice springy action and so soundly holding topline. Covered ground well.

3 Morris' Bluemazzu Ballerina.
