BEDLINGTON BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 15 Judge: Mr Kari Jarvinen BEST OF BREED : 6918 WALSHAW Mr & Mrs M & J Janmark Jkay JW BEDLINGTON JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 15 Bedlington Terriers I have judged Bedlington Terriers for decades all over the world. I wish the breeders here would pay more attention to overall construction & better presentation. The quality of coat & colour is good, but this is a dog show & trimming should be better & the dog is not moving with its coat. Nevertheless, my winners were quality Bedlingtons & my BOB way ahead the rest. PD (3) 1 Baldwin’s Woolytop The One And Only, good head, good front. Topline tends to level on move, good rear. Promising coat. My BP; 2 Butler’s Yarbach Federers Final, looked good when standing, good proportions. Unfortunately failed in movement; 3 Worrall’s Bluesmurf Semper Fidelis. JD (1) 1 Offer’s Woolytop Theodore, up to size, could do with better head. Good neck, should have more body. Enough angulations. Needs better trimming. PGD (1) 1 W The One And Only. LD (2) 1 Murby & Heraty’s Tasseltabs Timber, rather straight in front & rather short all over. Coat was OK. Could have better feet. RCC; 2 Pedersen’s Sharnor High Intensity, good head & topline. Straight in front & looked rather high on rear. Not the best colour. OD (4) 1 Cumming’s Ch Rocabec Definitely Maybe, rather lightly build male. Best movement in the class. Good topline. Cat feet, could have better angulations behind. Nevertheless my best male & CC; 2 Rainsbury & Hamilton’s Jetsway Chaser, looked nice when standing, good outline. Rather unstable front movement, good feet, good blue colour; 3 Davies’ Ch Honeymist Sunny Delight. VD (2) 1 Baldwin’s Woolytop Iwan Super Wizard, almost 11 years, in good condition. Cat feet. Good head, good neck & body. Good movement; 2 Davies’ Ch Bla Skuggans Jack In The Box at Honeymist, bigger than the 1st, & rather heavy. Heavy in head. Narrow in movement. In good condition. PB (3) 1 Breeze’s Sharrpau Purple Blaze, well constructed, good head. Typical in front. Enough angulations. Uniform in colour, moved OK. BPB; 2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Going Global, good colour. Rather straight in angulations. Beautiful head. Good movement, but could have more reach; 3 Worrall’s Bluesmurf Utrinque Paratus. JB (5) 1 Ames’ Sharnor Instnt Infatuation, beautiful when standing. Beautiful head, good coat & colour. Should have more reach & drive in the movement; 2 Bannister’s Tcheria Tchaffinch with Miteymidgets, nice when standing, excellent movement & angulations. Head could do with more muzzle & should have more body. Nice feet, coat needs time; 3 Owen’s Bisbee A Touch Of Class. PGB (3) 1 Davies’ Honeymist Posh Sugar, liver, beautiful looking female. Beautiful head, good size, good outline. Good movement. Could do with better presentation; 2 Godden’s Vakurblue Bacon Buttie, good proportions. Could do with more muzzle & more bone. A bit unsteady in movement, but overall still a nice bitch; 3 Button’s Jetsway Chardonnay. LB (6,1) 1 Cumming’s Honeymist Hot Spice at Rocabec, good head & topline, good proportions. Could do with more angulations. Liver colour & coat OK. Moved well; 2 Graham’s Ruffsfurze Zemzem, not really my cup of tea, but she had the best movement in this class; 3 Hurley’s L’end Show Melissa Blu Flower at Fralex. OB (10,1) 1 Walshaw’s Janmark Jkay, beautiful bitch in every way. Good construction, excellent outline, excellent front, best of movements. Excellent coat & colour. By far my best bitch. CC & BOB; 2 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Look Of Love, another beautiful one. Moved well & had nice outline. Good colour. Could do with more neck. RCC; 3 Graham’s Ruffsfurze Beren. VB (2) 1 Hewitt-Taylor’s Mollora Eastern Dawn for Tobanie, good veteran with a nice colour. Good head. Good rear angulations, moved well. In good condition. My BV; 2 Godden’s Seaofiron Where Angels Play, could do with more angulations & more neck, but in good condition & moved rather well. KARI JÄRVINEN |
