BEDLINGTON BATH 11 Judge: Mr S Plane BEDLINGTON JUDGE BATH 11 Bedlington Terriers PD & JD (0). PGD (4) 1 Jones’ Pengerrig Unique, blue with a lovely long clean head, nice eye shape & well set ear, typical front, deep rib to the elbow, nicely arched body well set tail moved lightly coat of good texture; 2 Harris’ Ratzwell Independence, a slightly bigger dog with a long head giving a typical expression, true front, not quite the topline of 1; 3 Potts’ Darrengarth Russet Rogue. OD (2) 1 Owen’s Bisbee Beachcomber, a blue who is a good representative of the breed, has a long head with a lovely eye & expression, well set & shaped ears. Enough neck into well placed shoulders, good flat rib, strong quarters, light on the move & when he got his act together put up a good performance in good condition. BD; 2 Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke, a dog of similar size, again with a long balanced head nice eye & expression, enough bone, flat rib, he did not keep his topline as well as 1, perhaps affected by the cold, had a lengthy stride. RBD. PB (3) 1 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Pharos, a sweet, well bodied liver of lovely type, good head correct mouth, stands well in front, has a good topline, lovely tailset & carriage, only young which was evident on the move but promising for the future; 2 Lacey’s Bowlingbrook Trick Or Treat, a very raw pup at the moment but of good type, precise & accurate on the move but did not have the maturity of 1. JB (1) 1 Caines’ Gnejnabay Just Asha at Burmington, a darker coloured youngster with a good head giving a good expression, well placed shoulders, rather flatter in topline than I would like, lovely rib of good depth, carried her tail well. PGB (3) 1 Lacey’s Bowling Brook My Blue Heaven, a lovely type & size, she has a long head, well shaped eye, nice front, I liked her topline & tailset, strong quarters, nice texture of coat; 2 Harris Ratzwell Dolly Mixture, thought she was of good type but she appeared longer than 1 & so not quite as well balanced. Carries her tail nicely, her head appeals & she has a well set ear; 3 Mayers’ Tcheria Tiddlywink. OB (7) 1 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, I have admired her before, I like her size & she is so typical in body shape, her head is clean & well balanced. Correct mouth, well placed shoulders, enough depth to rib, well arched carries her tail low, lovely texture to coat & so well presented, covers plenty of ground. BOB; 2 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, slightly bigger but does not appear as over size, long quality head, correct mouth, well set ears, true front & enough rise over the loin, free mover. RBB; 3 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Sapphire. STUART PLANE |
