BEDLINGTON JUDGE BATH 16

Bedlington Terriers

Grateful thanks to you all for this ‘hands on’ support away from JDP classroom! 14 were present including 5 champions to make it truly competitive as well as educational.

PD (1)

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets English Dream, well grown at 8 months, good overall shape & structure, long, tapering head without stop, good eye & ear, has depth & good ribbing of fair breadth, soft baby coat, correct body length, muscular rear, hare feet, needs to firm in action, good in profile. BP.

JD (0).

PGD (1)

1 Thompson’s Jetsway Bollinger, just turned 2 years, very good breed type, quality bodylines, attractive head & eye, well defined nostril, has depth, good pasterns, flat ribbed, hare feet, can still fill in over the loin, good in front, a little straight in rear, good in profile.

OD (3)

1 Kiernan’s Ch Sharnor High I’m Viktor at Kierlander, struck me as pretty much textbook & in his prime at 2½ years, flowing bodylines & curving in the right places, narrow, long, tapering head, good eye & thin ear set on low, long neck, good bone & pastern, well ribbed back, deep, well turned rear, linty coat, true, springy action, this exhibit gives nothing away in presentation & conditioning that enables him to represent the breed so well at group level. BD, BOB & G2;

2 Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke, glorious at 6 years, true & functional breed type, good length & shape to head, shapely body of correct depth & length, flat ribbed linty coat of an enviable dark blue, sound, typical movement, just edged out by the grace & spirit of the significantly younger dog. RBD;

3 Harris’ Ratzwell D’artagan.

PB (1) A.

JB (3)

1 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Seymour, 16 months, classic bodylines on this quality liver, lithe & graceful, lovely head & eye, quality, immaculate coat, good bone & feet, correct in neck & backline, excellent rear action, just a little deliberate in front, super shape in profile, surely destined for top winning;

2 Bishop’s Fralex Culibre Bolyn, now I realise why I thought I was seeing double! Litter sister of equal merit as you weigh up breed specifics, feminine without being too fine, also scores in type & shape, quality lines, not quite the scope nor making the most of herself albeit sound, came on better in front, promising.

PGB (3,2a)

1 Davis’ Miteymidgets Three Nations Vivian, rising 2 years, struck me as up to size but scored in outline & soundness, correct in front, balanced by excellent quarters, good neck & backline, deep pigment, for me lacked jaw length with imperfect bite.

OB (7,1

) Impressive, challenging class headed by three champions.

1 Walshaw’s Ch Janmark Jkay, 2½ years with breed specifics in abundance to teach the likes of me, sensational coat & depth of colour, narrow yet punishing head, correct body proportions, beautifully ribbed back, strong loin being just 3rd of the whole, deep linty coat, arch over loin with tuck up, hind legs appear longer than fore, easy, true action. BB;

2 Yearley’s Ch Gnejnabay Genegenie Gal at Lowbrook, historic liver rising 8 years & still with that typical spring in her step, everything in harmony & unexaggerated balance, long & narrow in head, excellent eye, thin ear, desired depth & flatness, accurate footfall on hare feet, good colour, such type & quality, just not using herself as well as the significantly younger champion in profile. RBB;

3 Bannister’s Ch Miteymidgets Going Global.
