WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE WINDSOR 13

West Highland White Terriers

I found there was more quality in the bitches than the dogs. I had difficulty in finding layback of shoulder & ribs in several exhibits. I think some people are mistaking fat for muscle.

Although the dogs stacked well very few of them used their ears on the move. For a dog with "no small amount of self esteem” it needs it’s ears well pricked to show a typical varmint expression.

These points do not apply to my winners. I was fortunate to go over some lovely dogs.

V (3)

1 Lilley & Millings’ Ch Lilmill What’s It All About, lovely mature dog, strong head, good layback of shoulder, correct mouth, moved well fore & aft, well presented;

2 Budge’s Rozamie Icicle, nice front. Longer cast than 1.

MPD (1)

1 Withheld;

2 Withheld;

3 Bartley’s Davot Chief Whip.

PD (2)

1 Sweetzer’s Ambalasi Splash And Dash, masculine head, good jacket, moved well;

2 Bartley’s Yushama Shooting Star, close decision but I preferred the movement on 1.

JD (0).

YD (3)

1 West’s Tomlyndon Power Of Love, smart young man, good head, good layback of shoulder, moved well, well presented.

PGD (7)

1 Roper’s Niroka Breaking Dawn in Jusbar, nice head, correct ear placement, good dark eye, nice depth of chest & good layback of shoulder;

2 Thomson’s Ashgate Us Apollo, well balanced dog, short backed with tail right on top, moved well;

3 Stock’s Lindenka Baxter.

LD (4)

1 Noyce’s Maxula Name Of The Game, nice dog to go over, well put together, good bone;

2 Hayton’s Pedrohay Roberto, masculine dog, dark eye, good pigmentation.

OD (5)

A lovely class to judge with difficult choices.

1 Edmunson’s Ch Peppaby Prank, I judged him as a youngster & found he has matured well. So much to like about this dog, lovely head, dark eye, good pigmentation, excellent front & good bend of stifle hence moved true, well presented as always by this kennel. Happy to award him the CC;

2 Fox’s Ch Hillsted Same Again, ran a close second to the winner. Preferred the movement of 1. However this dog is of sound construction & showed perfectly. RCC;

3 Lewis’ Ch Lynnsto Man About Town.

GC (0).

MPB (1)

1 Foster’s Thozow Forget Me Not, stood alone, but what a pretty attractive bitch. I think she should go far. Very well put together, moved & showed with a lovely terrific mischievous expression on her face, very well presented. BP,

PG2.

PB (0).

JB (4)

1 Gaydon’s Town Tease, beautiful feminine free standing bitch, lovely head, good stop, true front, well laid shoulders, good coat, showed well;

2 Gale’s Gilbri Town Gossip, another nice bitch, finer bone than 1, but well balanced;

3 Rose’s Jopeta Kut Krystal.

YB (6)

1 Lewis’ Bellevue Day Dream at Leddhas, attractive bitch, lovely dark eye, ears correctly placed, very cobby, short back with tail bang on top;

3 Gale’s Bellevue Hot Toddy.

LB (7)

1 Britten’s Krisma Storm In A Teacup, a delight to go over. Everything in the right place, which was obvious when on the move. She kept her shape at all times, sparkled with a typical mischievous expression & inquisitiveness. CC & BOB. Nice to know she was shortlisted in the group;

2 Edmondson’s Pebbaby Pirouette, well constructed & balanced bitch, lovely feminine head & expression, good stop, moved well fore & aft;

3 Dale’s Lynnsto Eye Candy.
