WHWTC Oct Ch 22 Judge

WHWT CLUB Ch Show October 1st 2022. It was a pleasure to be invited to judge this Club show as it completed my set of judging all 4 Club Championship shows. I knew that entries in the breed had deteriorated quite dramatically but I had no idea that overall entries had fallen so much so that day one of SKC could be fitted into an indoor venue. However, I had a lovely day meeting up with old friends some of whom had travelled a long way to exhibit their lovely dogs and I thank them very much. Puppy Dog.( 1 ) Fryers HOPECHARM NORTHERN STAR. Very pleasing 9 month old puppy. Super coat, very attractive head, lovely dark eye. Well made throughout hence moving correctly. Junior Dog (2,) 1- Thomsons ASHGATE KELVIN and 2-Smiths FAYMAR RAPPER . Two promising young dogs, both had good conformation and well made heads but the winner scored in the back end thus giving good drive however I preferred the shoulder lay back of the second. Both had good coats and may well change places in the future. Limit Dog (2) 1-Jenkinsons HIGHCROSS BUDDY HOLLY and ( 2) Smiths LINGBECK THE ONE AND ONLY. Two attractive dogs, well presented in good coats, very little to choose between heads but I much preferred the shoulders and back end on the winner hence the overall movement whilst the second was somewhat heavy set and moved wide at the back . Veteran Dog .(1) 1.Fisher's BOBO WHISKEY SH CM. Very young 10 yr old moving well back and front, good head and lovely coat. Champion Dog (2) 1-. Zacarielllo's CH. IT CH. VIOLENT WARRIOR VERTRAGUS. 2-Jenkins,Crockett,Western and Owens DK CH HOT PURSUIT HAVASU. Only two dogs but what an eyeful. Two real beauties presented to perfection in lovely harsh jackets. Both had good heads, built up over and under the eyes thus giving the deep set of the eyes so important to the expression. The winner had more head furnishings though no way trying to hide a weak head. He also had a deeper chest and this gave him the win as both dogs moved with real drive and so separating them on movement alone was difficult. Awarding them the CC and Res CC plus BIS and RBIS was a pleasure. 1- Pearson's HOPECHARM NEW BEGINNINGS FOR WINOSKI. Litter sister to the male winner and very alike in type. Correct neck and shoulders very showy and a good coat moved well. 1st Griffiths HOLIDAY ROMANCE VIXEN AT KARAMYND (IMP POL) 2- Smith's FAYMAR SECRET FLIRT. Very compact youngster in super coat. Stands a little wide behind and lacks bone compared to the winner. 3-Mitchell's NEWVOLDEMORT JUST LIKE ME AT FRAZANMITCH. Graduate Bitch. (1) 1st Crozier's DALSKAITH GLAMIS GIRL. Very attractive bitch, well made throughout. Her well turned hocks lead to very good rear drive. Good coat. Post Graduate Bitch (1) Croziers DALSKAITH BRAEMAR BELLE Correct type, moves freely. Good head, well placed shoulder and hocks well let down hence the free movement. Limit Bitch (5) 2abs, 1st. RCC Jenkinson's HIGHCROSS PANDORA. Very pleasing outline with lovely neck and shoulders moves well and well presented. 2- Smith's LINGBECK HOLD THE DREAM. Similar attributes to the winner but heavier made which hampers free movement. 3- BRAXQUIN ONE IN A MILLLION FOR WINOSKI. Open Bitch (2) 1st. CC, BOS. Edmondson's HIGHCROSS PROSECCO AT PEPABBY. Rangy bitch, but overall very elegant with lovely neck and shoulders and correct head. Scores on hind movement and overall showiness. Very like her litter sister the Limit winner but there is more of her. 2- Berry's LETS PLAY VERTRAGUS WITH ASHGATE. More my usual type than the winner as she is well made with a lovely head and cobby but in comparison, however, on this occasion I went for the spirited movement of the winner. Rob Hill (Olton)
