WEST HIGHLAND WHITE THREE COUNTIES 23

Thank you 3 Counties for inviting me to judge this lovely breed and to the exhibitors for giving me such a good entry in these times for my last judging appointment. Also thanks must go to my very able and pleasant Stewards who kept me on track namely Sharon Rose and Kay Wills, well done ladies. As to the breed, the Standard calls for large teeth and there were quite a few that weren’t, please keep this in mind when choosing a puppy or a sire/dam. Coats were good, a few could have done with a little more length, again read the Standard it is there for a reason. Heads I think have slightly improved overall since I judged last time.

PD (1)

1 Owens Frisbeck Horn Pipe – Stood on his own, Lovely head, good pigment good mouth with big teeth, correct coat texture and length, moved OK.

1 Bouhuis Llovall Adam at Ladyleigh – Stood alone – Good headed dog with good head and mouth, correct coat texture, moved and showed well when he settled!

LD (6,3)

1 Thomson – Ashgate Kelvin JW - Lovely masculine headed dog filled my hand something that is lacking these days. Strong muzzle, good pigmentation, lovely layback of shoulder, straight front, deep ribbed chest, short coupled with good set on tail, level topline, excellent hindquarters which he uses to drive around the ring. Good texture of coat of correct length, today he was just what I was looking for a typical West Highland White Terrier CC.

2 Foster Thozow Master of The House -Larger than winner but so balanced, good head and mouth, strong neck leading to super shoulder placement, good quality coat well presented and of correct length, excellent hindquarters which showed in his movement. Kept his topline when moving.

3 Fox Hillsted Same Difference

OD (4,1)

1 Dale Phoenix Superbia Lynnsto (Imp.Pol) Beautifully hair perfect presented dog. Good head and mouth, super straight front and shoulder placement, deep ribbed, excellent hindquarters which he used to drive around the ring keeping his topline, just a little longer in back than CC for me hence the RCC.

2 Jasper Clavelshay Montmorency – Good headed dog with correct coat texture and length, straight front well placed shoulders, good hindquarters moved and showed well.

3 Bradbury Ch.Fourastay Fontayne JW

VD(2) –

1 Berry – Ch.Karamynd Star Player with Ashgate, 7 year old dog in good condition, correct in all departments, moved soundly both ways but a bit short in coat for me today.BVIB

2 Owens Frisbeck Guitarman – 7 years, nice head and mouth, good coat moved OK enjoyed his day out.

MPB (3,1)

1 Coley – Kingsview Liberty – 6 months and a few hours old baby who looked to be having a ball, good mouth, straight front, coat of good texture coming through moved and showed well for one so young, promising baby.

2 Dale Lynnsto Killer Queen – Another 6 month and a few hours old baby, sweetest of expressions, good head and mouth, straight front, expertly presented correct jacket another one who moved and showed like a veteran, another promising puppy.

PB (3,1)

1 Szulzycka Newvoldermort Sweet Revenge – Pretty bitch with good head and mouth, good layback of shoulder, straight front, very balanced, super coat well prepared and presented. Kept her topline when moving and showed well to gain BPIB.

2 Bartley – Atelib Enigma Code – Nice bitch to go over. Good mouth nice layback of shoulder, correct coat texture but was not happy today, let’s hope with more ring training she gains her confidence.

JB (3)

1 Storey Lizandycris The New Hope for Nossimp – Just a day out of puppy, pretty headed bitch with good mouth, large teeth, nice earset, straight front, good layback of shoulder, deep ribbed for one so young, excellent hindquarters, correct coat texture and length, well presented, and showed well to gain RCC. Shall watch her career with interest.

2 Carlin & Gillott Lizandycris Izi Is A Belter – Another nice bitch, similar to above, pretty headed bitch with good earset, straight front, good coat of correct length well presented, moved and showed well. See she has the same sire as the winner and is very similar to her.

3 Fryer Hopecharm Northern Dancer

PGB ( 3)

1 Bouwhuis Llovall All by My Self Larger than previous exhibits but very sound, good head and mouth, nice shoulders and hindquarters, nicely presented but could do to lose a little weight.

2 Cawley & House – Ashgate Kirtle – Another that could do to lose some weight as it is making her very wide in front when moving. Nice in all departments.

3 Chambers – Circinus Dare to Dream

LB (4,2)

1 Fox Hillsted Sweet Whispers – Lovely gassy bitch, good in all departments especially head, mouth, shoulders and hindquarters. Moved well and briskly around the ring but kept her topline.

2 Noyce Maxula Vanilla Ice Cream – One I have admired from the ringside and was not disappointed on handling her she has a pretty head good mouth, good coat of correct texture well presented, moved and showed well just unlucky to meet the winner today.

OB (6,2)

1 Griffiths Ch.Holiday Romance Vixen at Karamynd (Imp.Pol) – Have admired this bitch ever since she came out as a puppy. She ticks all the boxes for a WHWT bitch, pretty head but still has the varminty expression, good mouth, straight front with well laid shoulders running into a strong neck, correct middle piece, short coupled with level topline which she keeps on the move. Excellent hindquarters and correct tailset. Coat of correct texture and length and trimmed to perfection, she just sailed around the ring and I could not deny her the CC & BOB. Watched her being short listed in the Group, well done, lovely bitch.

2 Smith Lingbeck Hold The Dream – Cobby bitch with excellent head and mouth, straight front and nice shoulder placement, level topline good tailset, strong hindquarters moved and showed well but could do to lose some weight which the owner is well aware of but she could not be denied her placing today. 3 Fryer Hopecharm Northern Lights.
