WEST HIGHLAND WHITE THREE COUNTIES 12 Judge: Mrs V A Smith WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE THREE COUNTIES 12 West Highland White Terriers I came into this breed many years ago, & am still as passionate today. I was fortunate to be taught by one of the top kennels what to look for in a good honest dog. Good head, neck & layback of shoulders, level back, good rearquarters & most of all movement, if its structure is not right it does not move right. I found in my main winners ‘good honest dogs’. My main concern is that movement is an issue – no drive & weak rearquarters. MPD (3) 1 Milner’s Juanne Flamenco Finlay, young dog with good head & correct bite, good reach of neck & layback of shoulders, straight front, harsh white coat, showed well for a young pup; 2 Mealing’s Reifrandies The Machair, nice type with a good head & bite, level topline, straight front. PD (1) 1 Jenning’s Comdale Johnny Boy, stood alone but was worthy of his placing, strong puppy with a good head, well placed ears, dark eye, correct bite, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, level topline, tail on top, good rearquarters, showed very well for owner. Carrying a little too much weight for me today. Very well presented. BPD. JD (2) 1 Windram’s Louie Conquistador, strong head, well placed ears & dark eye, well boned, straight front, harsh coat. PGD (4) 1 Kabel & Bouwhuis Llovall A King Of Hearts, well this is what you call a varmity expression, nice profile standing & moving, strong head, neat ears, dark eye, scissor bite, good neck into well placed shoulders, level back into well set tail, good depth of chest, straight front, strong rearquarters well presented harsh white coat, moved with drive to top honours. CC & BOB; 2 Dale’s Something Special Superbia Lynnsto, quality young dog with a good head & earset, correct scissor bite, nice reach of neck into well placed shoulders, level topline, tail on top, good harsh white jacket which was beautifully presented; 3 Pegg’s Ambalsi Frisky Whiskey.
