WEST HIGHLAND WHITE SOUTH WALES 09 Judge(s) MRS DAPHNE LEE DCC CH KARAMYND PLAY THE GAME JW (MRS J A GRIFFITHS) West Highland White Terriers I have just a couple of comments. Where are all the strong heads that Westies should have & good stops? I also found a lot of very small bottom teeth & a lot of dirty teeth. I think the bitches at this moment in time are leading the way in the breed. MPD (0). PD (2) 1 Dunn’s Charosmack Cool Days, nice 10 months puppy dog, well balanced, short back, good tailset, short muzzle, good bend of stifle, moved well 2 Cooper’s Brorastar Super Trouper, very similar to 1, good head & layback of shoulder, level topline. JD (3,1) 1 Thompson’s Ashgate McKenzie, bigger cast dog but still well balanced. Large masculine head, short in muzzle, straight front, level topline, moved well; 2 Morton’s Havasu Hey Dude for Swifton, good head, large teeth, well proportioned overall. GD (3) 1 Lewis’ Lynnsto Man About Town, lovely dog, good topline, masculine head, nice short tail, good hocks, moved well; 2 A McKenzie; 3 Noyce’s Maxula Name Of The Game. PGD (4) 1 Squire’s Kimgarwyn Outlaw, nice size dog, very compact, pleasing on the eye, good head, good level topline kept on the move, moved out well; 2 Gaydon’s Gilbri Williwontee, good profile when standing, did not disappoint when going over him & moving him; 3 West’s Karamynd Playing Away at Tomlyndon. LD (5) 1 Corri’s Inverglen Banjo, nice compact dog, masculine head, good stop, correct ear placement, good shoulders running into level topline, straight front, tail well set, moved with drive; 2 Macbean’s Bellvue Going Dutch with Pryorvale, very similar to 1. Just lost out on movement; 3 Carlin & Gillott’s Lizandycris Pick Of The Pack. OD (7,2) 1 Griffiths’ Karamynd Play the Game, I am sure everything that needs to be said has been said about this dog, super conformation, looked awesome standing & moving out, a real credit to the breed. CC & BOB; 2 Gordon’s Lamsore Fitzwriting, almost the same attributes as 1, groomed to perfection. RCC; 3 Hill & Wilson’s Olton Aye Sweater Man. MPB (1) 1 Dingley’s Davot Change To Wander, not quite so outgoing but a well balanced, feminine, 8 months puppy. PB (6,1) 1 Jennings’ Llovall A Real Deal at Comdale, I loved her, the bottom & back movement, it is a long time since I have seen a bitch with so much behind & her movement was so true, good conformation, well balanced, nice reach of neck. Just being critical I felt she had been a bit scalped on her front & shoulders. BP; 2 Corri’s Inverglen Sophie, similar to 1 but shorter in neck. More cobbier overall; 3 Ash’s Hillcloud Drizzle. JB (4) 1 Gaydon’s Bellvue Town Flirt at Gilbri, such a beautiful bitch, she blew me away on overall conformation, movement & charisma, she really pushed the dog for top honours. She will be the one to beat. CC; 2 Ash’s Hillcloud Cirrus Sky, slightly bigger than 1 but well balanced, moved well; 3 Squire’s Kimgarwyn Bramble. GB (2) 1 H Cirrus Sky; 2 Rose’s Jopeta Jora On My Mind, very cobby, well balanced, good earset, large teeth, super hocks. PGB (4,2) 1 Dingley’s Davot Chi-Ki, very feminine, good straight front, level topline, moved well; 2 Chambers’ Cincnus Snowdrop Beauty, bigger cast than 1 but well balanced. Moved OK. LB (5,1) 1 Lancaster’s Clanestar Careless Affair, lovely feminine bitch, straight front, good reach of neck & layback of shoulder, level topline, tail set well on, moved true with drive. RCC; 2 Jennings’ Llovall As Mama Said to Comdale, cobbier, overall conformation good. A bit sluggish on the move, would have liked a bit more zip in her; 3 Carlin & Gillott’s Girl Of Action. OB (9,2) 1 Cooper’s Ashgate Camellia, well balanced, a little on the big side but a worthy winner of this class on conformation, movement & presentation; 2 Edmundson’s Ch Pepabby Priceless, I was amazed to see this young lady in the ring, I understand she has been on maternity leave. She is back showing her socks off & still has it all going for her; 3 Hughes’ Brychdyn Kite Mark. DAPHNE LEE
