WEST HIGHLAND WHITE JUDGE SCOTTISH BREEDS 09

West Highland White Terriers

MPD (1)

1 Dales’ Lynnsto Barclaycard, very smart young man, in good coat for age, in lovely order, showed very well & shows much promise, should have a bright future.

PD (3)

1 Thomson’s Ashgate McKenzie, quality puppy with lots to like, still needs more time to come together & settle fully, moved OK but a little erratic at times. Saw enough potential in him for him to take this class;

2 Soar’s Sonjay Fast Forward, nice puppy who will improve with age. Showed OK but would like him a little more animated on the move. Put down well, just a little short of coat;

3 Morton’s Havasu Hey Dude for Swifdon.

JD (3,1a)

1 Smith’s Lobri Sweet Talking Guy, very compact young dog with plenty of substance, in first class order, good head, neat ears & good mouth, strong neck, short back & tail on top, looked a picture standing & moved well. Just pipped for the CC but his time will come I’m sure. RCC;

2 Squires’ Kimgarwyn Outlaw, rangier type of dog with great neck & shoulders, in good coat & condition. Showed OK but can be unsettled on the move at times.

PGD (6,1)

1 Taylor’s Birkfell Second Chance, a good winner, nice dog, in very good coat, nice head, good neck & shoulders, level topline, good tailset, moved OK;

2 Tullis’ Drumsheugh True Grit, lovely headed dog who just needs to develop in body to complete the picture. Showed well;

3 Windram’s Kristenkenzie Fagan.

LD (9,2)

1 Thomson’s Ashgate US Patriot, very typical & compact young man, in tip-top condition, good head, strong muzzle, good mouth, masculine neck, level topline, short back & tail on top, strong hindquarters, showed to advantage on the move. Won the CC on his free & easy movement with great extension from the front & drive from the rear. CC & BOB, his 3rd should not be far away;

2 Dales’ Lynnsto Mastercard, handsome dog who with a little more maturity will trouble the best. In absolutely wonderful condition, pearly white hard jacket, not a thing I didn’t like about him. Just needs to come together a little more to finish him;

3 Carlin & Gillot’s Comdale Curtain Call at Lizandycris.

OD (1)

1 Abbey’s Kristajen Know It All, another quality male who showed himself to advantage, lovely head, neat ears, good neck & shoulders, level topline, good tailset, moved & showed well. Pushed hard for the RCC but the young dog just had more sparkle.

MPB (4)

1 Burns’ Burneze Milly On Air, very cute baby who showed very well, has all the essentials to progress far, nice size, good body & coat. Just needs more time, a good prospect;

2 Squires’ Kimgarwyn Bramble, larger girl but very well balanced, terrific neck & shoulders, shows well for a young one;

3 Ash’s Hillcloud Cirrus Sky.

PB (7,4)

1 Reidie’s Asheridgelee Miss Attitude, very mature puppy in excellent coat & condition, nice head & mouth, good neck, short back, short tail carried correctly, moved & showed well, maturity won her BP;

2 Burns’ Burneze Tiger Lily, quality puppy who has a lot to like about her, just lost out on maturity to 1 but she is 4 months younger so that is to be expected. Showed very well;

3 Dale’s Lynnsto Sonnet.

JB (5)

1 Lancaster’s Clanestar Careless Afair, quality bitch in excellent coat & condition, gorgeous head with neat ears, strong muzzle with good bite, great neck & shoulders, best of fronts, good body condition, level topline & tail on top shown freestanding, moved very well & with great style. A surprise to me as to be honest I have never really noticed her before but I certainly did here. CC;

2 Smith’s Lorbri Motown Magic, litter sister to my RDCC, has all his attributes but I would like to see her carrying less weight. In excellent coat & great presentation, showed well;

3 Andrews’ Kellethrigg Christmas Rose at Rupann.

NB (5,3)

1 Strands’ Westlakr Pearly Lady, small, compact bitch, good quality jacket, moved well;

2 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Snowflake Lass, nice bitch who needs more time to mature. Showed OK but handler just needs to relax & the bitch will then do the same. Shows promise though.

PGB (12,3)

Very mixed class.

1 Dales’ Lynnsto Ultraviolet, lovely young lady, nice size bitch, in excellent coat & condition as all this kennels dogs are, nice head & mouth, good neck & shoulders, short back with tail on top. Moved OK but would like her more animated on the move;

2 Reidies’ Asheridgelee Miss Ambition, a bitch I have admired from the ringside & was not disappointed going over her, just lacked sparkle of 1 but could easily change places;

3 Burns’ Burneze Ever So Clever.

LB (12,5)

1 Smith’s Lobri Motown Magic, very compact bitch, in very good coat, good head & mouth, dark eye, compact body, good jacket, short tail carried well, showed well to take the RCC, top honours should not be far away;

2 Jenning’s Wistonant Anastasia of Comdale, quality bitch who showed herself to full advantage, lovely head & expression, nice neck & shoulders, clean in front, good backend. Just needs more time to mature in body & more coat needed;

3 Soars’ Sonjay White Fusion.

OB (6,2)

1 Squires’ Kimgarwyn Pebble, I have admired from ringside before, here she was just too short of coat & so the overall picture was spoilt. Still has a lovely head & mouth, dark penetrating eye, correct neck & shoulder, short back, good tailset, the type of bitch who will show all day, her title should come to her soon;

2 Morton’s Charosmack Crystal Secret at Swifdon, different type of bitch, slightly larger but good quality, has all the essentials to make up & hopefully she will get an even break & do just that;

3 Thomson’s Ashgare Ardlussa.
