SOUTHERN WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER CHAMPSHIP SHOW 2025

Firstly I thank the acting chairman,  Mr Thomas Davison for his opening address, and  for the calling for a  few respectful  moments of silence, from members ,  in memory of the extremely sad loss of long term, hard working ,  Club Hon. Secretary , Mrs  Marion Smewin  , who without doubt will most sincerely be very sadly missed at this years ,  2025,  42ndChampionship Show , and of course in many future times to come

My  own Appreciation also to , Paul Carlin, my individual ring steward of the day, who in the absence of further support from other committee members, contributed very significantly towards this  year’s    annual , sad , and  very depleted  event.  I thank also, Acting Club Secretary, Liz Gillott,  for stepping in to organize2025  proceedings , this together  with her  mother, Jenny,  for her catering contribution, both ladies with little support  placed  shoulders to the wheel  at the last minute .
Thanks also to those members who made a very special effort to attend the event,  plus  protect  their canine companions , on what was one of the hottest days for  travelling during 2025

My principle winners were as follows -
Although the numbers entered were far away from those who have supported the Southern Club Events over the  years ,I , for one distinctly remember a,  Juanne Bitch, taking a second place from an entry of 41,  in the  Post Gradulate Bitch Class, under the then gaze of  Judge, Brian Squires , it was none the less very pleasing indeed to be able to cast my own eyes over a second to none ,  2025 High Quality Entry .  Thus :-   The 2025 Best In Show & D CC Winner was  ,
The Limit Dog Exhibit , Mr  A. Gordon ‘s, Hopecharm Fizzing Whizzbee ,
With a strong Head,  a keen expression,  the correct bite  & large teeth, expertly presented in a
Correct coat , strong body , certainly  one that I can confirm would stand Proud, sporting overall breed quality,  against those that I have previously  sent through over the past 25 years , each one in turn  gaining sound  WHWT Honours within the  Terrier Groups  .
My Reserve Best in Show went to the Open Bitch C C  Winner , Mrs D Britten’s  Krisma Winter Sun
This one too , another sporting  an  excellent   ultra fine feminine frame with a lovely straight front
That  in turn compliments that of her overall  typical & sound  breed type qualities, I. E. Keen expression with correct ear & eye placement , correct bite , A good layback , sound movement with good rear drive .All   that is sure to not go further un-noticed by others
The Res D CC Winner was,  Mrs Fryers  Open Dog Class Winner , Oh Karol Vixan Into Hopecharm
Straight in front ,Strong head,  Wide Jaw,  Sound Bite , Neat well set ears , Level back , Well set tail and nice in overall profile ,  Good rear drive
The Bitch Res CC Winner was also a Mrs Fryers exhibit,  Hopecharm Bright Angel,  from the Post
Graduate Class ,  Free standing  &  with a nice profile , Plenty of good rear drive on the move from strong rear muscle , and a good turn of stifle   Well set on  tail carriage ,
My Best Puppy in Show , the Minor Puppy Dog Class Winner, on the day, was,
Carlin & Gillott’s,  Nossimp Fine Beacon of Hope , Again, Typical breed type in good coat & well matured at 8 months .  Just as all of my principle winners this one too sporting the correct bite with
